A dreamy old trattoria. Stepping inside takes you back more than 50 years. Iconic Genoese and Piedmontese dishes are simply extraordinary. The quality of the ingredients is excellent; the pesto is fabulous. The stockfish and tripe are worthy of a lifetime. The zabaglione is sublime.

30/04/2026: This restaurant was definitely off the road but well worth the visit. It's pretty popular so if you get there during the lunch hour be prepared to wait. The food is definitely worth waiting for in the view is absolutely beautiful.
02/04/2026: The trattoria has been run by the Malatesta family for two centuries. Mother and elderly aunt in the kitchen, daughters Mara and her sister in the dining room. The truly excellent local cuisine, the atmosphere, and the family feel, along with excellent value, are unparalleled, so much so that it's worth traveling with my wife from Camogli two or three times a week. A trattoria that's always busy, open only on weekdays and Sunday lunchtime, and not on Saturdays, because the goal isn't to maximize profits, but to support the family. You can feel the beauty of the past, and I hope a place like this continues to exist.

08/07/2026: As often happens, it is necessary to have lunch in these trattorias, perhaps more out of the way but with great quality and modest prices.
05/07/2026: We didn't eat badly, the mixed fried food was a little sparse but everything else was good.
