Highly recommended restaurant.
Excellent food, friendly staff, welcoming environment and very economical price.
My husband and I come here very often and we always leave very satisfied. Small observation: usually when we go to a restaurant, even if we eat well, we struggle with digestion......here at Maria's this never happens... .after eating we always feel great.

The place is small and if you go with 1 or 2 people, they will seat you at a common table, along with other people…
The place is very traditional. If you like this type of sites, don't miss it. If you're not used to it, you can have a hard time.

Locale semplice ed accogliente, dove si respira la storia della vecchia Genova. E' una trattoria davvero casalinga, dove vengono preparati con grande semplicità e leggerezza i piatti della cucina genovese (pesto, stoccafisso, verdure ripiene, torta pasqualina, minestrone, eccetera). Sapori autentici ed ingredienti genuini sono stati percepiti in tutto quello che abbiamo provato. Porzioni e condimenti non sono eccessivi, il che contribuisce alla leggerezza, ed i prezzi davvero molto economici consentono di provare anche diversi piatti senza aumentare troppo il conto finale. Servizio gentile e rapido.

Consigliati da amici abbiamo pranzato in questo locale storico frequentato prevalentemente da studenti, quindi prezzi modici. Ovviamente non ci si deve aspettare nulla, tavoli da condividere molto stretti e bassi ( ci si siede praticamente incastrati con le gambe).
Per primo abbiamo provato delle trenette al pesto un pò slavate, per secondo uno stufato di coppa bianco con patate piuttosto secco e una buona trippa. Le portate non sono particolarmente abbondanti.
Per finire un mascarpone con rum, particolare. Servizio molto alla buona, rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Se non si hanno particolari pretese è sicuramente da provare.
