18/05/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us while we were passing through Castelnovo ne Monti. The atmosphere was quiet (until two guys at one table listened to their nephew's entire piano recital on their phones at high volume 🤭). We ordered three side dishes, a main course, and a bottle of water, and we paid a lot for what we ate. It's a shame we found out too late that one of the side dishes was double-billed and that the cover charge was exorbitant! I was disappointed with this experience, because overall, what I ate was good.

17/05/2026: I had lunch here and had a truly positive experience. The restaurant is well-kept, with a rustic and welcoming atmosphere and professional yet friendly service. The quality of the dishes is immediately apparent: fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors. The menu is also very interesting, showcasing traditional dishes. The wine list is excellent, well-stocked and consistent with the cuisine. A restaurant that stands out in the Castelnovo ne' Monti area and I recommend it both for a break from the hustle and bustle and for more special occasions. It's definitely a place I'd return to.

12/02/2026: Stopped by with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. The place immediately evokes the feel of a 1970s club. Despite everything, the tables are set with impeccable professionalism. The cuisine is the same as it used to be, as we used to eat at our grandparents' house on holidays. The dishes are tasty but well-proportioned, neither minute nor overdone. A must-try is the cart of fantastic boiled meats; watching them arrive reveals the quality of the ingredients, accompanied by succulent sauces and pickled vegetables, also reminiscent of past flavors. The Lambrusco is one of those dark ones that stain the glass. The price is standard for Reggio Emilia, but it's not cheap. The service is attentive and meticulous.

07/02/2026: Title: EMBARRASSMENT AND CRAZY PRICES. RUN AWAY. Review: I strongly advise against this place to anyone who doesn't want to be ripped off. There were eight of us here and we paid €43 each, an outrageous sum for the service we received. The lack of transparency was total: we weren't given a menu, a tactic clearly designed to hide the prices before the bill. The appetizer was an insult: €20 per person for a ridiculous little plate with three slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of coppa, plus some mortadella and parmesan in the center of the table. Paying €160 for appetizers alone for such a paltry amount is madness that can't be justified in any restaurant in the area. The wine management was also terrible: two bottles of Lambrusco were served already opened (a totally unfair practice) and had an undrinkable iron-like taste. The worst moment was at the register: after we complained about the price of our appetizer, the manager tried to give us €40 back in cash to settle the matter. A pitiful gesture that confirms their bad faith: they knew full well they'd inflated the bill, hoping we wouldn't say anything.

03/05/2026: The food is good, although not exactly cheap. I strongly advise the owners to keep the place and kitchen cleaner. With a little effort, I think the place's full potential can be realized.

03/05/2026: Leaving Fidenza Village, we found the place online. The food was delicious. Parking was very difficult. All parking areas are paid. On Sundays, there's no charge, so we found a spot in a parking lot a three-minute walk from the restaurant.

06/05/2026: In its genre, it is always impeccable. Of course, you have to be careful when eating traditional dishes; even if they're perfect, it's best not to overdo it. He has a valuable collection of Lambrusco Reggiano wines and wines, including Venturini and Baldini, Ferrarini, and others. That said, enjoy your meal.

02/05/2026: I enter and the somewhat insistent waitress immediately makes me stop at the tigelle and tortelli restaurant. I order 24-month-old prosciutto and 24-month-old parmesan, with the tigelle not included (you should specify beforehand to know the actual cost), a Fanta, and a coffee. Everything is good, but at the cashier they charge for two covers and I'm alone, and the decaf costs €2.10, which seems way too much considering the location. They reimburse me for the second cover charge, but they're clever and should be avoided.

27/03/2026: I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try typical local dishes. The food is excellent, and the owner is a very friendly gentleman.

11/04/2026: The gnocchi and tigelle are good, and the cured meats and cheeses are adequate for the portions. The tortelli are lightly seasoned and flavorless, and there's no dessert selection, only a selection of dry cakes. The service could be improved. Overall, it's gotten worse than it used to be.

11/04/2026: A good restaurant, excellent for large groups. Fantastic gnocchi and excellent tigelle, as well as cured meats. Tortelli not excellent, risotto and tagliatelle very appetizing. The second course is hard to finish. Congratulations, I'll be back.
