19/08/2025: I pulled my truck into the parking lot next to a business about a hundred meters from the restaurant. It was my first time there, and I had a great time. The food was fabulous, and the owner/waiter was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it.

31/08/2025: What a find. Wonderful local restaurant, esting outside. Great waiter who was very eager to use his German language skills ok us (we are Dutch, but our German is better than our Italian so great combo). Beautiful local foods as per the name (nothing has to travel to get used). Unfortunately some dishes were sold out but who cares if the food is this good. The ossobucco my husband had and my long braised beef were beautiful and tender. Great dolci as well. Thanks to all!

Fried gnocco and tigelle were the absolute protagonists. A welcoming place, with a rustic style, with attentive and kind service. Relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a dinner as a couple or with friends. In a few words: Amarcord is a dive into the flavors of the past, with a touch of passion and quality that makes the difference. Well done, keep it up.

29/08/2025: I wasn't entirely satisfied. The grill was overcooked, so the meat tasted burnt. The gnocchi were a bit too greasy, and the tigelle were dry. The service, however, was impeccable. The owners were very courteous.

13/07/2025: Everything as it should be. Homemade cured meats are devastating. The hot cooked shoulder is incredible. Excellent torta fritta and a trio of really good first courses. The price is fair for what you get. If I had to find anything that could be improved, it would be the wine list. For everything else, I highly recommend it. Definitely worth a try.

08/08/2025: Positive experience We had two first courses: tortelloni (only two each, but huge) and gnocchi. The tortellini were very good, and the gnocchi were average. The mixed grill was good, and the gnocco fritto with cured meats was average. The panna cotta and mascarpone with Barozzi cake were very good. The price was about €35 per person, which I'd say was fair. It's a shame it's so far from Bologna, but I'll be back for the onion soup, which they only make in winter. The staff was efficient and very friendly.

04/07/2025: Canossa, where time has not moved. Invited by a friend from Reggio to try the typical cuisine of the area, we were really enthusiastic! The restaurant has proudly remained in the 70s, the walls and furniture exude the history of the city. The menu is traditional Emilia, with lots of meat and accompanying sauces, boiled meat is clearly a must! The plating is not important, here the important thing is the authentic flavors and the abundant portions. The service is familiar, in the sense that you feel just like family and the waiting times are secondary. It is worth highlighting the waiter who serves you directly at the table with the cart of meats still on the fire and cut at the moment, which is something almost folkloristic and for which the price is worth it (which cannot be cheap, given the choice, the quality and the abundance, ed.). If you are in the Reggio area and want to try real Reggio cuisine, you definitely have to go to Canossa.

07/08/2025: Congratulations!!! I ate the Fassona beef tartare with truffle, roast potatoes, and grilled vegetables. I tried tigelle and then lemon sorbet. I drank Lambrusco 'Bacca Rossa' by Il Villico. Everything was very good. I'll definitely be back.

19/08/2025: We had lunch on Ferragosto (August 15th). Greeted with a pleasant aperitif outside, we headed inside, where the wood-fired grill reigned supreme, already whetting our appetites. Surprisingly, lunch was à la carte (in recent years, restaurants have offered set menus on Ferragosto), and we were very pleased. We ate an appetizer and a main course, both of which were delicious. The staff's kindness and politeness were greatly appreciated, as was their generous availability (an increasingly rare and therefore highly valued quality). The location is secluded and rustic. The renovation was well done. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

27/07/2025: Il locale è accogliente, comodo, ed il personale di servizio molto gentile, con uno stile di relazione al cliente cordialmente affabile. I piatti del menu' hanno titoli importanti purtroppo la preparazione ed il risultato non sono all'altezza. Uovo pochè annegato in una crema di patate insapore e corredato da un pezzo di buona coppa piacentina un po' difficile da tagliare nel piatto fondo e da mangiare con il cucchiaio che viene portato per questa pietanza; il secondo che avevo scelto non era disponibile- seppure sul menu'- quindi ho optato per un filetto all'aceto balsamico accompagnato da della bietola saltata in padella (abbinamento che ho trovato abbastanza banale ed anche un po' triste ) che per qualità della carne - davvero niente di che - preparazione - piu da cucina di casa che da ristorante Michelin - ed impiattamento è stato davvero deludente, Per dessert ho scelto una spuma di ricotta con coulisse al frutto della passione; buona la coulisse, che aiuta a spezzare l'eccessiva dolcezza dell'impasto di ricotta, il quale non è per nulla spumoso; dessert decisamente non riuscito che toglierei dal menu. Buona la bolla di Trento doc anche se non adeguatamente fredda. I prezzi delle singole portate sono in linea con quanto si trova in ristoranti di livello equiparabile, nella fattispecie però il rapporto qualità-prezzo rende questo ristorante molto costoso e non da Guida Michelin

01/09/2025: Very friendly service. You sit under large parasols, but unfortunately, the heat builds up there in the evenings, and it's very warm. Be sure to spray yourself with mosquito repellent! The tortelloni (€14) were excellent. And the fresh white bread with grated cheese was also great. Coperto €1.70 I wanted to have "Bonet alla panna" for dessert, but unfortunately, they ran out of cream. The drink prices are low: half a liter of bottled water costs only €1.50! Someone could pick up the trash around the building; it really doesn't look nice or inviting. There's a lot of trash, especially in the on-site parking lot!! Paper placemats and bread bags produce a lot of waste, which could be avoided: no one needs placemats, and there are baskets for bread.
