The place is a bit dated, obviously not renovated in a while, but the welcome really makes a difference. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we immediately felt at ease.
The prices are fair and overall reasonable, but the portions are really small... a shame, because the food is good, but you'll leave feeling a little hungry.

Traditional-style restaurant, very welcoming: as soon as you enter, you immediately feel a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The dishes are prepared with great care, and the starters, in particular, were truly exceptional.

It feels like going to an old-fashioned trattoria, for better or worse. All the dishes were delicious, from appetizer to dessert. I would have given it four stars, but I'm taking one off because the meatballs arrived cold inside.

Seeing this place with so few customers makes me feel incredibly sad, because there's no reason why it should be this way, except that today, curiosity for the new and untried weighs more heavily than the ability to replicate traditional flavors intact. If you have a grandmother from Emilia, or have always wanted to, come to the Locanda and let your taste buds be pampered. And don't worry, it won't cost you a fortune. Lastly: don't miss the Portuguese Milk; I think it's so good it's almost tear-jerking good.
