23/03/2025: Last night we were there for an aperitif, me and 6 other people. Besides accusing us of a review that wasn't ours (which I subscribe to anyway... or rather, "thank you Fede, whoever you are!"), we ate very little and spent a lot in proportion. I know that even for this review the place will continue to insult us as it did for another (which is not by Fede and I have no idea who he is).... What can I say.... the baseness of everything. Don't worry, you don't want us as customers, and we certainly never will be again. €112 for 4 cans of drinks, 2 proseccos, a beer, 2 bottles of water and 4 desserts..... and your "famous cutting boards" (hungry!) Keep them too! (....and also rude)

22/04/2025: I recently tried this glorious restaurant again, an authentic milestone of the Castelfranchese tradition and overall I was not disappointed. Warm, quick service and excellent dishes, with some hints of genius in the desserts. The environment is a fair compromise between chic and welcoming, well attended, quiet and with well-spaced tables, very appreciable. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the prices. Obviously it has never been the cheapest restaurant in the world, but now it is definitely exaggerating: if a customer finds himself paying €113 for two second courses (good yes, but nothing memorable), two simple side dishes, two desserts, a bottle of wine and a half natural, we are frankly out of reality, they are prices in the center of Milan or Florence. And luckily we had a generous plate of bread and dumplings to accompany it, otherwise we would have left the table still a little hungry. I understand that perhaps this is an irreversible process, but in my opinion, given the general trend, it would be appropriate to moderate a bit.

09/03/2025: First time in this restaurant, excellent tortellini and rabbit. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. Excellent value for money. Recommended if you are in the area and are looking for a real restaurant.

21/03/2025: An environment that, even with many people, allows you to talk with friends at the table without echoes and rumbles. Excellent menu with appetizer of fried dumplings and mixed cold cuts and above all with various delicious sauces. Delicious first course of fried potato gnocchi from Reggio Emilia. Second course with excellent and soft meat chosen from the boiled meat trolley. Side dish with sweet and sour onions and exquisite mustard. Desserts...endless and delicious. They do everything themselves and you can feel it...

20/04/2025: Typical Petronian cuisine, and more, just like it used to be! We have been several times - both on site and for takeaway - and have never been disappointed. The place is nice and the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is usually pleasant and relaxed, but in my opinion it is better to avoid occasions of maximum attendance. However recommended, for lunch and dinner!

20/04/2025: Gentleman was beyond helpful. We landed hungry before the dining opened, and he welcomed us in, and we selected from a variety of items. Was a third of what I was expecting to pay! Highly recommend 👌

L’Osteria Ardenga è un’esperienza imperdibile per chi ama la cucina emiliana autentica, l’atmosfera calda e il vino eccellente. 1. **Cucina eccellente**: Ogni piatto è un omaggio alla tradizione. I tortelli erano spettacolari, con un ripieno ricco e una pasta fatta in casa che si scioglieva in bocca. Il culatello? Semplicemente divino. 2. **Atmosfera unica**: Il locale ha un fascino rustico ed elegante allo stesso tempo. Tra botti di vino e arredamento d’epoca, ci si sente davvero immersi nella storia del territorio. 3. **Servizio impeccabile**: Il personale è cordiale, preparato e appassionato. Ti guidano con competenza nella scelta dei piatti e dei vini, senza mai essere invadenti. 4. **Cantina spettacolare**: L’osteria è anche una piccola "cattedrale del vino". Ottima selezione di vini locali e nazionali, con qualche chicca per intenditori. 5. **Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo**: Per la qualità offerta, i prezzi sono assolutamente giusti. Un’esperienza che vale ogni euro speso. Consigliatissimo un pranzo domenicale o una tappa enogastronomica durante un viaggio in Emilia.

10/03/2025: Purtroppo una delusione. , salumi di antipasto discreti ma troppo freschi , secondi un anatra che sapeva troppo di fegato e uno stracotto tagliato a macchina con fette sottilissime e insapore dolce una sbrisolona strana sembravano più biscotti di mandorla . Insomma mi ricordavo meglio , prezzo alto per quello che abbiamo preso

17/04/2025: Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Location: n/a Value for money: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 Driving from Milan to Assisi we stopped for lunch here. Almost universal fantastic food experience, locally sourced, filled with locals. A good combination! Gnocchi fritti obligatory around these parts. Light, savory, hot, divine. For the juniors, tagliatelle with rabbit ragu: so subtle, so flavorful, so tender the meat, so eggy the pasta. In a word: excellent. The antipasto culatello with reggiano cream and aceto balsamico and pan brioche was just delicious. The buttery brioche had been toasted and was crisp on one side. Yum. All of it. Green cappellacci stuffed with sausage and served with a simple sauce (not sure what it was, but it was just the right flavor complement and just the right subtle amount) was a star. The other adult at the table had some kind of savory pastry antipasto and then ravioli of some sort with zucca and tomato sauce. These were just ok. A crisp glass of Lambrusco accompanied the savories for the non-driving adult, ie me. No time or space in any of our tummies left for dessert but we took a slice of sbrisolona to go for afternoon snack in the car and it was crumbly, nutty, and satisfying. I’d have loved to try zuppa inglese or pretty much anything else in the dessert area, all looked fantastic. There were a ton of menu substitutions which were hard to follow, that’s probably the only real complaint.

26/03/2025: Sono stato a pranzo e devo dire che era tutto di nostro gradimento, dal cibo al servizio. Locale molto curato. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

22/03/2025: Locale perfetto, atmosfera calda ed intima al punto giusto. Menù degustazione ‘Dio te stradora’ che parte a razzo, ma va un po’ calando. Antipasto ottimo, brodo MAGISTRALE e COMMOVENTE, però poi abbiamo una faraona con poca salsa, appesantita da chips di patate; secondo me mancava una verdura, tanto come colore quanto come pulizia della bocca. Le chips un po’ fredde, che hanno perso la croccantezza forse perché il piatto era già pronto da un po’ Da rivedere leggermente la presentazione. Zuppa inglese sicuramente ottima, ma in bocca è mancato l’effetto wow. Naturalmente parliamo di un gran posto; le critiche son dovute allo standard che intendono raggiungere. Con qualche leggero aggiustamento potrebbero arrivarci senza problemi. Servizio eccezionale. Due menù e vino 141,50 euro (con sconto finale, apprezzabile). Tornerò.

31/03/2025: Recommended place, even for celiacs! The place is historic and I had last been there a few years ago. I returned on a Saturday evening for a family dinner and found the place modernized. The venue also includes a small, very tactical children's area, very good! The staff is always courteous and attentive, very good! The menu is large and varied. I personally am gluten intolerant and I was pleasantly surprised: crescentine, traditional Bolognese first courses, pizzas. All gluten-free and on a separate menu! We spent €35/40 per text taking starter, first course, second course and dessert. Prices are normal. I will definitely be back to try other gluten-free dishes! Thanks to all the staff
