22/05/2025: Yesterday on the day of the Giro D'Italia my husband and I went to Castenuovo ne Monti, we had lunch at the trattoria da Geremia, we had a really good time, the food was delicious and the guys at the trattoria were very kind. I recommend it

14/07/2025: This is the first time I've found myself writing a negative review for a hotel. In all my years of traveling, I've never encountered such an unbelievable situation. I've always written positive reviews publicly; when I've had a bad experience, I've never written anything; I've simply never set foot there again. This time, however, I've crossed the line. I booked a room for a weekend through Booking.com under the following conditions (all verified and confirmed via email and the app.) Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM Check-out until 12:00 PM In the morning, I went to the hotel where I checked in and then stayed for lunch in the hotel's excellent restaurant. The food was excellent, with authentic traditional local dishes, from superb cured meats to fresh pasta, and the prestigious house Lambrusco wine was a highlight. The owner and table service were exceptional: kind, attentive, and welcoming. The final bill was reasonable and fair. After lunch, they reminded me that breakfast the next morning starts at 8:00 (…that's fine, an hour later than stated in the reservation, but no problem…maybe…) The next morning at 9:25, they called my room from reception asking what time I would be leaving. I replied that I would be leaving in 5 minutes (despite the 12:00 check-out time as per the reservation) and that I would be heading to the breakfast room. (Breakfast: 7:00–10:00 as per the reservation). In a completely rude manner, they told me that breakfast was no longer available; at most, they could make me a cappuccino or coffee, but no meal. I immediately went to reception, showing my reservation details, but a blonde woman who was probably not Italian (I'm only mentioning this to identify her; far be it from me to criticize her nationality, which obviously has no bearing on her work or the way she treats guests) rudely replied, telling me that breakfast was served from 8 to 9 because they would have to prepare the dining room afterward (it was 9:30). She pointed out that we were the last guests leaving the hotel. After my complaints and refusal to allow me just a hot drink without a meal, I asked to check out quickly so I could leave and find another bar in the area for breakfast. Without even a hint of apology, she said, "You've got the balls." I was deducted €10 from the total. I said goodbye and, with all my heart and regret, I said that I will never recommend this establishment to anyone due to the despicable treatment I received. The hotel employee repeats these exact words to me, as before: "Go away, don't....te the b...e." It's a shame, because this doesn't reflect the culture, kindness, and hospitality of the Emilians. I don't know if the owners realize how their employees treat their guests. I'm disappointed that the welcome and courtesy I received from the staff at the restaurant and lunch wasn't the same as at the hotel. I suggest first of all checking with Booking.com for reservations, but even more importantly, training the reception staff, who unfortunately ruin the hotel's image and the reputation of the Emilian people—kind and incredibly welcoming, known and appreciated throughout the world.

25/05/2025: Una delusione. Cucina discreta, ma a parte lo gnocco fritto buono per il resto nulla da ricordare. Salumi di poco stagionati, in una trattoria reggiana dovrebbero essere una eccellenza. Prezzi a dir poco esagerati per il tipo di cucina e servizio offerto.

25/05/2025: A disappointment. Decent cuisine, but apart from the good fried gnocco, nothing else to remember. Cold cuts that are not very mature, in a Reggio Emilia trattoria they should be excellent. Prices that are exaggerated to say the least for the type of cuisine and service offered.

10/07/2025: The pizza, pasta, tigelle, and gnocco fritto are all delicious. The only drawback is that the place isn't air conditioned. The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

08/07/2025: Super! Very famous for their fried gnocco, and I'd heard so much about it, and a few weeks ago, shortly after the new restaurant opened, I had the opportunity to try their cuisine. The location is really lovely, especially the outdoor area, which really comes into its own in the evening. The owners are fantastic, always present and very friendly. The food is really good; I could list the menus, but there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. The portions are excellent if you order the menu. I'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone passing through.

17/06/2025: Negli anni mi son fermato spesso a mangiare in questa trattoria, però non posso non notare che è decaduta del servizio e anche nel cibo. Per avere una seconda bottiglia d’acqua ci han messo oltre 20 minuti. E’ arrivato al tavolo prima il contorno ( patatine fritte…completamente crude ) e poi dopo 5 minuti la petroniana ( deludente) . Salvo solo le tagliatelle. Cercherò altro in zona.

29/07/2025: Esperienza poco piacevole. Sul cibo nulla da dire ma tempi d’attesa lunghissimi fin dall’inizio …neanche il menù. Cameriere freddi, maleducati e neanche guardano i tavoli. Porzioni scarse. Non ci tornerò.

27/07/2025: Si mangia molto bene a prezzi onestissimi. Chi fa recensioni negative fa sicuramente parte di certe tavolate di esagitati che non hanno accettato il fatto di essere ripresi per il loro comportamento.

07/07/2025: great place to eat, not like the sandwich shop next door that gives frozen hamburgers and limp bacon. I'm leaving this review because I didn't mind that hamburger place but I really liked this inn.

06/06/2025: We had dinner at La Locanda, our Airbnb host recommended us to go there, and the food was amazing! We really recommend you trying it, it is homemade food, grandpa/grandma style. If you’re looking for authentic local food this is the place to go! We shared a mushroom pasta, and a steak (like steak au poivre!) the meat was juicy and tender and the sauce really good! The pasta was delicious and at the same time light. We also ordered a green salad and a warm pecorino cheese with honey and nuts, and wine! The restaurant is runned by the owner, who’s welcoming and lovely. 100% recommend going here, even if the decoration is a bit outdated, it gives the places its charm!

13/08/2025: Good, traditional restaurant with excellent appetizer platters. We had the creamy pasta with Parmesan and the Argentinian beef (lack of seasoning). A bit noisy, though, and the service was slow.

15/07/2025: Everything was very good👍 However, the erbazzone seemed very expensive given the quantity😡 I would have preferred that the Parmesan cream was not on top of the erbazzone. Anyway, I had a good time and ate well.👍
