This restaurant was a wonderful end to our trip. It was the best food we had in Italy! The best gnocchi and the best service. So glad we stopped by.

We were very curious and I must admit that we were pleasantly surprised....very kind staff and especially the girl very empathetic and nice....excellent food and very fresh....typical....prices in the norm....pleasant and really clean environment....satisfying experience....we will definitely return....

Simple, modest-sized restaurant with no outside tables, offering good Emilian cuisine at medium-high prices with first courses costing €14-16 for medium-sized portions and second courses of pork costing €18.

Amazing food. Tagliatelle was a smaller portion but very good. Gnocci pesto was absolutely amazing. Probably top 3 gnocchis in my life. Ravioli was great. Everything was great! Would come back again.

A real favorite! Everything is homemade, and you can feel it from the first bite. Authentic flavors, fresh produce, generous and loving cuisine—nothing to complain about, it's exceptional. You feel good here, warm welcome, impeccable, smiling, and attentive service. It's the kind of place we'd like to keep secret, but which deserves to be known by everyone. Flawless from start to finish, congratulations to the entire team!

Rare place. Because you really have to fall into it by chance (there are no offer posters outside and customer-catching waiters) but it is the best restaurant in the central Ostia Lido. Really good food, equally good wine. Welcoming. I will definitely come back

Group dinner. For lovers of fried and well-seasoned food it is a paradise. Quantity/quality/price ratio personally unbalanced towards the "salty".

In Rome it is difficult to find a real Emilian place!! and the gnoccheria I must say made me rediscover the true flavors of tigelle, fried gnocchi, tagliatelle... all delicious!! The fantastic welcome in a family atmosphere, the professionalism in pairing the various dishes with excellent wines, everything cooked to perfection and with quality products. From the vast appetizer with mixed platters (cold cuts, delicious cheeses and even better vegetables) accompanied by hot tigelle and fried gnocco, to continue with gnocchi with meat sauce, tagliatelle with wild boar sauce and a wonderful and very soft wink of pork with grape must... never tasted such a delicate and good dish! Congratulations to all the staff, super friendly and smiling.

Un pequeño restaurante familiar local. Deliciosos platos caseros con pasta casera, y personal muy amable y servicial. Es exactamente la experiencia que buscamos cuando viajamos. Excelente.

19/06/2025: ...se si considera la pendenza della via! Abbiamo chiamato per prenotare e la prima disponibilità era il 26 giugno. Allora ci siamo passati e la fortuna ci ha assistito: complice una disdetta, ci siamo seduti nel tavolino accanto all'entrata. Locale piccolo ma ben strutturato. Tavoli troppo vicini e un po' di rumore. Titolare affabile e personale che lo segue per educazione e simpatia. Menù sintetico ma che racchiude tutti i piaceri di una delle mie cucine preferite. Piatti ottimi e ben serviti; porzioni modeste sia per la tradizione emiliana che rispetto alla concorrente cucina romana. Prezzo equo ed esperienza che consiglio e che ripeterò presto.
29/05/2025: I'm still dreaming about Colline Emiliane. Definitely the best pasta that we had in Italy. After a long day exploring Rome, I pretty much wore my entire family out. That is everyone except for my sister-in-law. When she suggested this Michelin Star restaurant near our hotel, it was a definite yes for me. Colline Emiliane opens at 7:30. We waited in line at 7:10 and enjoyed watching the pasta being made through the window. At around 7:20, Luca, one of the family owners, came to bring in everyone who had a reservation. That filled all of the restaurant's tables except for five tables for two. Then the waiting game came into play where we hoped that a few people who made reservations did not show. Luca counted and let everyone who was past the table five mark know that the odds were not in their favor. We were at the table three mark, so we still had a chance. Two couples finally showed up, but the odds were ever in our favor, and we got the last table for two right next to Luca. A nice bonus! This was the best dinner that we had in Italy! The service was amazing. We never felt rushed. Started with the artichoke heart side as an appetizer. Delicious. Next course, pasta! I had the gnocchi di zucca con crema di parmigiano e tartufo nero. Pillowy, light and airy freshly homemade pumpkin gnocchi topped with parmesan cream and finished with generous shavings of black truffle. I thought that I died and went to heaven, it was so good. My sister-in-law had the tortelloni ricotta e spinaci. Homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach with butter and sage. Amazing. Luca let us know that the pasta is made daily by his family. His mom and aunts all come together in the pasta kitchen to make the magic happen. Tradition, family, quality and artisanship. The pastries are also all homemade by the family. We capped the night with a pastry with the tiniest strawberries. Such a great way to finish a nice relaxing meal. Dinner happens at 7:30 and 9:15. Definitely make a reservation, if possible. We were so lucky to score the last table. Grazie Mille, Luca!!! Our dinner at Colline Emiliane was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

La Locanda

07/07/2025: great place to eat, not like the sandwich shop next door that gives frozen hamburgers and limp bacon. I'm leaving this review because I didn't mind that hamburger place but I really liked this inn.
06/06/2025: We had dinner at La Locanda, our Airbnb host recommended us to go there, and the food was amazing! We really recommend you trying it, it is homemade food, grandpa/grandma style. If you’re looking for authentic local food this is the place to go! We shared a mushroom pasta, and a steak (like steak au poivre!) the meat was juicy and tender and the sauce really good! The pasta was delicious and at the same time light. We also ordered a green salad and a warm pecorino cheese with honey and nuts, and wine! The restaurant is runned by the owner, who’s welcoming and lovely. 100% recommend going here, even if the decoration is a bit outdated, it gives the places its charm!
