19/07/2026: With our apartment a stones throw away we decided to pop in for lunch, the services from Mauricio, Federico & the team was fantastic.
Explaining the wines from the region, typical dishes etc
We visited many times during our stay due to the warm welcome and hospitality plus the quality food.
We can't thank you enough.
22/04/2026: A bistro out of the ordinary. The highest quality, a wine cellar for every budget (even the deepest), and top-notch service. I dined with my friends at a large table and we had a great time. The location is strategic. The desserts are superb. And they have an incredible selection of liqueurs with a dedicated waiter who can give you the best recommendations.
If you're in Bologna, go there!!!

I'd like to start by thanking them again for the warm welcome they gave us, even though it was already 2:00 PM. The place is very well-kept, with the perfect atmosphere.
We took their advice and were extremely satisfied. The two celiac guests in our group were also delighted!
Definitely recommended!!!

Excellent service, top-notch food quality, elegant atmosphere... Congratulations to all the restaurant staff who make you feel right at home. Let's move on to the dishes: Lasagna, touching... Needless to say... Tongue with salsa verde and mayonnaise, butter... I'd say the value/price ratio is in line with the dishes offered, from €60 to €70 per person, but worth every penny!! Obviously, booking well in advance is highly recommended as there aren't many places and demand is high. A must-visit for anyone in Bologna!
04/08/2026: They say people make the difference... and here it's truly true!!
Welcome professionally yet informally, just as you would welcome friends, the service is attentive and never intrusive. The food? Spectacular appetizers, caramelized onion tart, and sublime parmesan flan.
Should we talk about the lasagna? 7 layers of pure delight 😋 Then the main courses... tender and flavorful Bolognese cutlet, and the "dairy cow" (I hope I remember the name correctly... I was too focused on savoring the dishes), a real discovery.
Finally, we couldn't miss the latte in piedi and the zuppa inglese. When they say that dessert is worth the whole dinner... amazing.
But the sweet note of the whole dinner was the pleasant company of all the staff. They make you feel at home, like a dinner among friends, with conversations that are never intrusive but surprisingly fun and interesting.
Will we return? ABSOLUTELY YES

17/07/2026: We stayed overnight while passing through. We received a very warm welcome; it has a very family-run atmosphere. The staff and owners are very friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't quite up to our standards. The room hadn't been updated in a long time. With a little effort, it would be possible to create something truly wonderful; the property has potential.
26/06/2026: Very friendly family serving genuine local cucina and fabulous sea food dishes. Spacious rooms well maintained with air-conditioning and excellent WiFi connection. Last but not least fantastic breakfast.

21/05/2026: This trattoria is located under the porticoes, a few hundred meters from Porta Saragozza (BO). It seats about twenty in the small indoor dining room and another twenty on the outdoor terrace right under the porticoes (perhaps a little too noisy due to the traffic on Via Saragozza). A friendly and smiling young woman (owner?) welcomes you and leads you to the table inside. The menu is typically Bolognese, ranging from cold cuts to lasagna (unfortunately only available on Saturdays and Sundays), tortellini, meatballs, and a Bolognese cutlet. We opted for a tortellino in parmesan fondue and a Bolognese cutlet with a side of puntarelle, and a house Sangiovese in a carafe. (We wanted to eat light; Emilian cuisine is notoriously overwhelming.) What can I say... Everything was amazing, from the welcome, to the dishes, to the wine. Will we be back? Definitely to try the rest of the menu.

19/07/2026: Really outstanding pasta in an old school atmosphere. We had the lasagna and the tagliatelle friggione.
Highly recommended. Friendly staff, relaxed setting.

11/04/2026: A classic trattoria in Bologna — exactly the kind of iconic restaurant this beautiful city is known for.
Everything is delicious: traditional regional dishes, excellent pasta, and great starters. The only thing I’d skip here is the tiramisu — I’d recommend trying it somewhere else.
Otherwise, definitely a place worth adding to your list.
29/03/2026: A pleasant surprise. Trattoria Leonida exceeded expectations. Impeccable service (perhaps a better knowledge of English wouldn't hurt); excellent traditional food (even though the menu offers many dishes,
you just need to choose carefully); and the bill was truly "fair." I recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna for vacation or business.

But I was sold a karaoke. Which was with tuned off mic, and the most despiseful karaoke manager. Not a smile, not a welcome, not a light in the eye. She was bored and depressed to be here. I wish her the best in life, but until shee's gone, this place is no good to go to. You will lose your will to live. Honestly, there are just that many better places to go to in Bologna.

14/03/2026: A great place with a perfect view of Piazza Maggiore. The staff was very welcoming and the food arrived pretty quickly. The cotoletta alla Bolognese is definitely worth it, and together with the lasagna, are some of the best I have tasted so far. The prices are a bit on the high end, but there are no unexpected charges, so if the prices on the menu are within your budget, definitely visit it and enjoy some great meals.
