26/07/2025: Super stressed young waiter, we barely had time to sit down before we had to order food. The food tasted absolutely nothing. The waiter cleared the table before we had both finished eating. Then he stood and waited for us to finish our glasses. Add to that that we were the only guests and it was 6pm.
No, I DO NOT recommend this place!

You can enjoy crescentine, cured meats, tagliatelle, gnocchi, and the rest of Bolognese fare just outside the city walls.

09/07/2025: This very centrally located restaurant with lovely outdoor seating offers fine dining without exorbitant prices. I shared a very good tuna tartare (€28) with others and then had an excellent carrot terrine (€22) – a very rare dish and a real treat (not only) for vegans. All the other guests at the table were also very satisfied. Definitely recommended.

10/08/2025: A disappointing experience in several respects. The prices are decidedly disproportionate to the quality of the food, which is average and absolutely doesn't justify the final bill. The service leaves much to be desired: the waiters are listless and at times clumsy, to the point that one of them spilled ketchup on our table and nearly stained a customer's shirt 😭. The real problem, however, is the pricing. We ordered a grilled dish with the words "minimum two people" and the price listed as €25. Anyone would think the price was for two people, but no: it's €25 per person, so €50 in total. It would be much more accurate to write "dish for two people" and clearly state the final total price. As it stands, it almost seems designed to confuse, and, reading other reviews later, we discovered we weren't the only ones who fell for it. Furthermore, the grill was never worth the €50 for two: despite the quantity of meat, the quality was extremely mediocre. We decided to try it despite the poor reviews, but we definitely won't be returning in the future. In short: not recommended, too expensive for what you get, and lacks transparency in management.

Besides the slow service and ignoring any request for water or bread for a table of eight, the rudeness of the bearded waiter, who responded almost by shouting or insulting us for his lack of attention to our order, was unforgivable. We waited over an hour for a plate of pasta. When asked for the third time if he could check on the children's order, he said that in Italy, the custom is to serve the appetizer first, followed by the first course (he doesn't know who's serving). His lack of manners in teaching "tradition" is incredible. My husband had to tell him to tone it down. He was rude, arrogant, and lazy. Then, during the meal, he gave us his angry face, making eating unbearable. We wanted to leave, but that was impossible with children and disturbing the group. If we know about tradition, manners, and service. Tip for restaurant owner: Don't miss out on good food for a waiter and cashier who are reluctantly working for a salary they don't deserve.

We know about tradition, education, and service. Advice to the restaurant owner: don't lose good cuisine over a waiter and cashier who work begrudgingly for a salary they don't deserve.

29/07/2025: The excellent menu at €25 per person includes two first courses (the tagliatelle and gramigna pasta are delicious) and a generous platter of cold cuts, cheeses, and sauces with tigelle and crescentine.
Everything was delicious, and the place has a traditional charm. Recommended!

01/06/2025: Vi devo proprio parlare di questa trattoria perché è troppo speciale. Sono stata spesso a perlustrare i migliori ristoranti dell'Emilia Romagna, anche molto costosi e ricercati, ma la trattoria Bar Ristorante Pedretti Severina a Pioppe di Salvaro, Marzabotto, è straordinaria pur nella sua semplicità. Cucina tradizionale emiliana, molta varietà di piatti, tutto assolutamente perfetto,l prezzi modici. Intanto non è facile riconoscerla, perché fuori c'è scritto "tabaccheria", e sembra di tornare indietro nel tempo. Dal primo locale spartano si passa a una sala semplice, all'antica, coi tavoli alti, sobria. Ma i piatti sono incredibili per la loro bontà e perfezione. Eravamo in 4. Niente menou, piatti raccontati a vista, per cui è meglio vederseli prima sul web. Ci hanno portato un piccolo piatto di salumi. Pane buonissimo. Abbiamo preso tutti un tris e sono arrivati 3 vassoi: tortellini alla panna piccolissimi, i migliori che io abbia mai mangiato, tagliatelle verdi sottili e al punto giusto di cottura con un vero ragù bolognese tirato, tortellacci finissimi con funghi porcini, dosi abbondanti per cui è stato come mangiare tre primi. Io ho preso il bollito misto, abbondante e tenerissimo, col pesto verde e il friggione, fritto misto di verdure (io le preferisco senza l'uovo e più croccanti), una trippa buonissima (cosa rara da trovare in Emilia), un vassoio per due di arrosti (coniglio, pollo, faraona), un vassoio di verdure grigliate. I dolci erano da urlo: una zuppa inglese meravigliosa e un mascarpone montato con panna e retrogusto di Sambuca, vaporoso e leggerissimo di cui abbiamo fatto il bis, limoncello sul tavolo, caffè, vino, due bottiglie d'acqua. 35 euro a testa. Ma se avessimo fatto un pranzo normale sarebbero stati 30 euro a testa o anche meno. Servizio discreto e gentile, molto rapido. La cameriera Alice (studentesse di antropologia) ci ha incantati per la sua grazia e leggerezza (sembrava la dama dell'ermellino di Leonardo). Il padrone garbato e sorridente. Non sono mai stata meglio. Il mio amico, grande intenditore di ristoranti, è andato in cucina a elogiare la cuoca, estasiato. Io non posso che ringraziare.

14/06/2025: The place is welcoming, it has something lived-in and authentic.
The staff is kind and the service is good.
The menu is not kilometer-long, the right proposal to meet the favor of those who want to taste something typical.
The house appetizer is excellent, various tastings that fill you up properly.
The off-menu is interesting, they offered us black truffle and at my request the chef agreed to prepare tagliatelle with butter and truffle, a delicacy.
The quality-price ratio is noteworthy, being in the center of Bologna it is unusually high.
I highly recommend it.

26/07/2025: Small but welcoming place. It's a shame the ceiling is covered with fake reeds, they seem temporary (what could be underneath!) From the menu we choose lasagna...not available, roast rabbit...not available, boiled meat...not available, polenta...only in winter. We adapt with: tagliatelle with meat sauce but the sauce had a stale, runny aftertaste, the pasta was smooth, guinea fowl was very greasy, with 4 dry baked potatoes and two sage leaves for decoration on the plate. Poor service. The salad was brought with the tagliatelle even though I had said it would be served later. Dishes were served with oven gloves, and the waiters were intrusive in introducing the dishes, cutting off each other's words. We then realized that they would be closing the next day for holidays. The manager is just an extra. Big disappointment.
24/07/2025: A classic trattoria in the center of Bologna, with a simple atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes was rather basic. Some dishes on the menu, such as the shin, were unavailable that day, so we opted for the beef fillet, which, however, was significantly smaller than the price.

01/07/2025: All normal, no big emotions.
I stopped with 2 friends to eat a tagliatella because the other tavern in the street was full. I didn't have high expectations and thanks to that I wasn't disappointed.
Ultimately it turns out to be a decent Bolognese tavern, with higher prices than the competitors and without particular peaks.
I don't recommend it, you can find better places a few steps away.
30/05/2025: Even though I live in the area I had never been to this restaurant. I ate the porcini mushrooms with mint and the tagliatelle with black truffle. Everything was very good and the ingredients were excellent. Perhaps the only thing is that from a restaurant I expect slightly larger portions.

Thank you very much to the owner who offered us a meal for our daughter (who will be 3 years old very soon).
The bolognese was very good, as was the lasagna. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

27/07/2025: Now touristy. Mediocre. Tagliatelle with ragù, not made with fresh pasta. Cold baked potatoes. The renovated bathroom is out of place and a real eyesore. It's a shame; the reputation for this place's past isn't enough, and I won't be returning.

21/07/2025: This was our favorite place to have a bite in Bologna. It was delicious, prices are great, but above all the service and the attitude really made us feel special. I'll never forget how our waiter ran to the back of the tratoria to bring us extra parmigiano to go, just because he noticed how much my little daughter loved it!
