07/01/2025: My daughter and I went here for lunch on January 3rd. Very kind and welcoming staff, very nice atmosphere and the dishes were delicious... The tortellini drop d'oro are a specialty worth trying and the tagliatelle were also really good. Finally, an excellent tiramisu. Congratulations and we must return one day to eat the Bolognese cutlet!

14/01/2025: We often come to eat pizza here, my daughters love the quality of the pizza and the exceptional location behind Piazza Maggiore is perfect. Fortunately quite off the beaten track, last time I had some excellent octopus salad. Service that makes you feel good, in true Campania style. A guarantee. Young but very smart owner.

10/12/2024: Too expensive! I had dinner at the bistro counter and in an hour and 20' of stay the "innkeeper" didn't exchange a word between taking the order and the bill. I bill €110 alone for a steak (€88), declared to be 900g of Danish meat (the only one not on the menu and of which I didn't know the price per KG - I trust it but it wasn't presented to me on the scales as is usually the case ago, and in any case I ate it without effort (tasty and well cooked in the Josper oven); side dish of artichokes (3 half artichokes therefore 1, 5 artichokes) €12 rest covered bread and coffee.

06/01/2025: The different types of bread on the table are excellent Dry porcini and artichoke lasagna, discreet flavour, I don't recommend. Rabbit generous portion, well cooked but in the menu it is not mentioned that it is cooked with lemon, which is especially noticeable in the sauce that accompanies it, I did not like it, if it had been written I would not have taken it. Only two red wines offered No concern from the staff to know if the food brought to the table was okay €40 first second and side dish

05/01/2025: Different feelings for different meals. Tortellini with panna were good and also dry passatelli with bacon zucchini and saffron. Lamb chops were sour and portion quite small. Rabbit was a good portion, particular but unexpected its lemon sauce. Sangiovese bottle was good. Staff pretty polite but, uncomfortable the body smell of a waiter, sadly covering food perfume while passing by.

20/01/2025: we had a wonderful evening.... beautiful location (impressive view of Bologna at night) excellent food and great courtesy and helpfulness of the staff who are always attentive and punctual, highly recommended...

04/01/2025: Last night at dinner in this place where you can breathe an air of tradition. As soon as you enter, the welcome is the cheerful and friendly one you expect in Bologna but which is no longer found everywhere. The tables are very close but it is part of the convivial atmosphere. Punctual and kind service as well as fast. We ordered classics such as tortellini and passatelli in capon broth, both good. Prague ham with cream and apple fritters is also a good dish. The selection of boiled meats is excellent and plentiful, with good quality mixed meats served with side dishes, all not to be missed, including the mustard. The price is absolutely adequate for the quality and service. Perhaps we would like a wine list at the table. However, a place recommended for everyone. We will return to try the roasts and the schnitzel, which looked very inviting.

07/01/2025: Trattoria Croara offers an atmosphere that takes you back in time. That of the classic trattorias of times gone by, where authenticity reigns supreme and there are no unnecessary frills. An increasingly rare experience to find nowadays, and therefore even more appreciable. Even though we hadn't booked, the lady who welcomed us was very kind and helpful. However, he found a place for us in an almost full room. A gesture that made us feel welcome. However, the waiter did not show the same spirit. He seemed more annoyed with us than anything else, repeatedly ignoring us and taking orders from customers who clearly arrived after us. A real shame. Maybe next time it would be better not to judge the guests only by appearance. Moving on to the food, lunch started with a plate of cured meats and fried crescentine. The cured meats were very fresh and of excellent quality, with a raw ham that melted in your mouth, a fragrant mortadella and a salami rich in flavour. The crescentine were light, golden and well fried, without any trace of grease. A perfect combination to start with. As a first course, I opted for the green lasagna. They were cooked to perfection, with a flavorful ragu and a creamy béchamel sauce that didn't overpower the other flavors. My traveling companions, however, chose a trio of first courses, which turned out to be a very good choice. From tortelloni to ragù to seasonal stuffed pasta, each dish was well balanced and carefully prepared. So much so that choosing the best one was practically impossible. As for desserts, however, a somewhat mixed experience. The crème caramel was rather anonymous. While the almond pudding was a real discovery. Creamy, delicate and with an intense flavor that made it unforgettable. Overall, the food was great. The portions were generous and the value for money was more than fair. It's a shame that the experience was partially ruined by the waiter's attitude. But the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere of times gone by still make Trattoria Croara a place worth returning to. Maybe with a little more luck on the serve.

11/01/2025: I was invited to this place by a real Bolognese woman. 40 euros each for 2 tigelle, some cured meats, a lasagna and a tiramisu. Shameful.

09/01/2025: We visited the tavern for dinner, ordering mortadella and tigelle as starters, lasagne and tortellini in broth as first courses, and meatballs with sauce as second courses. All dishes were tasty, full of flavor and with generous portions. We were particularly satisfied with the service given to us by our waiter, a really kind and easy-going boy from Abruzzo, who chatted with us and made us feel at home!

09/01/2025: The photo doesn't do it justice, but the rabbit was really good! Even though we were a “football team” and the restaurant was full, the dishes arrived quickly. The guys who work there are smart, approachable and really helpful. In addition to the food which was truly delicious (I also tasted the lamb and the chickpea and prawn cream soup), I was pleasantly struck by two details: the different types of bread brought to the table and the biscuits prepared by their chef to accompany the coffee. It's nice when a restaurant leaves nothing to chance and takes care of even these little things. We'll be back!
