13/07/2026: This is a special place, full of human warmth, that warms your heart. In a modern age where everything is mechanized and efficient, here you can still feel the essence of "people." Their sandwiches, made from scratch only after you order, are filled with homemade pickles, aromatic, aged cured meats, and flavorful cheeses. They would be perfect with a good glass of wine (although I didn't drink that day because I had class in the afternoon!). And if you're lucky, you'll taste the best olives in the world. Run by Mr. Enzo and his parents, Mr. Matteo and Mrs. Tina, this family-run restaurant offers more than just "good food," but also helps you rediscover the true happiness of eating together. I completely understand why the reviews are mixed. In my opinion, truly authentic places always have a nearly even score, 49 to 51. "Everyone has their own taste," and for my taste, this place is simply unique.

13/07/2026: Incredibly good and authentic food. This is a simple cafe where you assemble your panini yourself by choosing from the ingredients available. Most of the customers seem to be students and locals, which is not surprising considering the low prices. We paid just under 10 euros for two toasted paninis and a small bottle of water. Be aware that the owner does not speak much English. The owner is from southern Italy and was very chatty. He told several stories about himself, his family and his upbringing, as well as anecdotes about Italian food culture and football. While we waited for our food, we were given samples of homemade olives, artichokes, cheese and olive oil, which made the visit an extra pleasant experience.

16/06/2026: One of the few great meals I’ve had in Italy. We had the sage ravioli and I think the bolognese egg noodles. You can tell these dishes are made with care and quality. The flavors are composed beautifully, and the staff (maybe a family), seems to really care about good service and attentiveness. I felt as if they genuinely cared about their food and service. I really enjoyed going here and wish I could try more on their menu. This is one of the few places I would 100% go back to. I wish the best for this restaurant and its owners

10/05/2026: The people are exceptionally kind. Come and eat, and you can also stay overnight, as they have top-notch accommodations worthy of a 4-star rating. The rooms are super comfortable.

16/07/2026: A lovely restaurant very close to the Basilica Santuario di San Luca. It's become a regular stop whenever I pass by. The food is very good, although, aside from pizza, the selection isn't extensive, which isn't always a bad thing. Prices are average, and you can also eat outside in the summer.

28/07/2026: I've been wanting to eat here for a year, but every time I went to Bologna and tried to book, it was always fully booked. Last week, my son gave me this gift, but he booked 10 days in advance. The food is truly excellent, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Recommended, YES.

22/07/2026: Cosy little restaurant. Ordered the 4-course menu with wine pairing. First 2 dishes impressed, 3rd andvmain not so much. The maitre'dee was attentive and friendly, with a big smile. Her colleague and waitor not so much. They were really busy so they did very little presentation of the food and wine that was served, which was a shame, it would have been nice.

12/05/2026: A typical Bolognese restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere, especially the outdoor tables, adorned with lights and plants. However, the service was terrible; the owner and waiters lacked tact and kindness towards customers. The food wasn't the best; the gramigna wasn't gramigna, but passatelli with a strong, flavorful cream cheese (not specified on the menu). The roast veal with brandy (on the menu) wasn't actually roast, but veal carpaccio. We thought it was a mistake, but we were arrogantly told that it was indeed veal carpaccio. A dish that was supposed to be accompanied by bread, but strangely enough, the waitress told us the bread was out (only to realize, once we reached the counter, that there was a corner of the kitchen behind us with a cutting board full of bread). An experience definitely not to be repeated. Extremely disappointed.

21/04/2026: The restaurant is over 100 years old and is widely frequented by Italians and residents. It has a pricing system (see photo with prices from April 2026), which varies depending on your choice. Since there was so much food, I ordered the appetizer + second course + a bottle of wine + liqueur; the bill for two people was €125. The service is very good, the food is delicious, high-quality, and quite generous; your table gets full, there are no limits, you eat until you can't anymore, which is why I skipped the first course and dessert. Note: the pecorino cheese in the photo is sensational. They have gluten-free options. The restaurant has become synonymous with excellent and abundant food for me; it's etched in my memory. It's a fantastic gastronomic experience, worth every penny; I would say it's unmissable.

09/05/2026: Very touristic. Not worth it. Carbonara and tortellini was very bad. Also the staff was very rude.

11/07/2026: We had lunch here on a hot day. We asked to sit inside, so there was a bit of a communication delay, but once we had the server’s attention, all excellent. We were after the local food and wine and both were excellent. Tagliatelle Ragu and tortellini Di brodo.

19/04/2026: The food is, of course, first rate. Absolutely exquisite cuisine. The chefs must be highly commended and I wish I could have done it personally. But, I must also say that excellent food can be ruined by poor service so rest assured, at Rodrigo you will find only the best of the best. Our server was outstanding - flawless, prompt and considerate of all of our needs to the very end. This was a very special dinner for my wife and I as it was our last in Bologna. What an amazing meal to send us off.

28/04/2026: Their behavior was very rude. I went to the bathroom and, when I came out, they told me I had to buy something, like water or coffee. This really bothered me. It's not appropriate behavior.

25/05/2026: The food is exquisite, featuring typical local dishes. You feel like you've been transported back in time. The location is ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and is easily accessible. There's ample parking, and the staff is excellent. The low cost per person, combined with the excellent quality of the food and generous portions, is truly rare these days.
