01/08/2026: I was very happy with the lunch because, as a vegetarian, I often struggle to find interesting dishes, especially in the mountains where meat is the main ingredient. I enjoyed a delicious appetizer and first course. I highly recommend it, and I hope to return soon. Thanks again! ❤️
31/07/2026: Guys, the pasta was raw, the grill was full of bones, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly.
It takes passion to run a restaurant.
We didn't experience any of this.

19/07/2026: After descending several steps from the main square, we arrived at Lo Sgabello. A beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating on a large terrace. We ate truly delicious traditional Abruzzo dishes, from the first course to the main course to the dessert. The service was truly efficient, the staff were quick, attentive, and kind, truly talented. But what impressed us most was the fair and reasonable price for the quality of the food.

I'll start by saying I'm a vegetarian and I made this known when I booked. If there hadn't been any options, I'd have just stated so and chosen another restaurant.
The experience, however, was negative from the start: disorganized service, constant requests for cutlery, bread, glasses—often everything was missing. At one point, a friend of mine was forced to get up and go to the service table to get a plate. All for a €12 cover charge for four people.
As for me, the waiter initially told me there were no alternatives other than cheeses from the appetizer. We brought the situation to the attention of the manager (I think the owner), who instead reassured us by saying that I could choose between a veggie cutlet and veggie burgers. I chose the cutlet.
I was served spinach burgers, without any communication.
I found this attitude profoundly disrespectful: if I were an omnivore and a dish hadn't been available, no one would have decided to substitute it for another without even notifying me.
The result: I barely ate (and it wasn't something I'd ordered) and finished lunch practically empty-handed.
I paid and thanked them without arguing on the spot, but it was an experience I wouldn't repeat.
I don't recommend it and I won't be returning.

02/08/2026: Eternal wait, inedible burnt bread, tasteless and sticky truffle spaghetti, raw potatoes and slow, incompetent service... we had to call the waitress six times to take the order because she was going to the person who arrived after us... I will never recommend it again.

Short menu and everything made to order.
Excellent meat at reasonable prices. Excellent service. I congratulated the owner. We'll be back.

27/07/2025: Esperienza terribile. Siamo stati in questo ristorante su consiglio di amici. Cucina turistica e trattamento becero.
Quando è arrivata la carne, nell'immediato il tagliere si è riempito di mosche. La carne era dura, di pessima qualità e bruciata.
Da evitare.

19/07/2025: Dopo una lunga passeggiata, di ritorno dal castello ci fermiamo qui per cenare. La carne arrosto alla brace è molto buona così come i contorni di verdure grigliate. Buonissimi i dolci. La ragazza che ci serve è carinissima e gentile. Prezzi poco poco alti ma ci sta perché c’è la buona qualità del prodotto.
11/07/2025: Poca attenzione agli ospiti, le luci non vengono completamente accese, per cui mangi in penombra senza vedere bene la pietanza. La porta della cucina rimane sempre aperta per cui i fumi della carni sono tutti in sala! Il vino rosé è imbevibile! Cibo nella media, prezzi un pochino sopra.

21/07/2025: Es un hallazgo increíble. Excelente comida elaborada con ingredientes locales. Cada plato es único y cuidadosamente preparado. El restaurante es precioso y la terraza tiene una vista magnífica. Todo ello en un pueblo medieval restaurado. Agregue a este servicio atento, sofisticado pero amigable y estará lo más cerca posible de una experiencia gastronómica perfecta y se encontrará en cualquier lugar. Un verdadero descubrimiento. Fantastic.
20/07/2025: Locale non adatto agli abruzzesi menu’ povero è il cameriere ha tolto due portate ai primi due ai secondi eccetera capite che se l’ospite si siede e su un menu di 10 portate ne tolgono 4 di cui rimane il baccalà formaggio arrostito e lasci come carne un tacchino porchettato riscaldato e male odorante lo abbiamo lasciato nel piatto e’uno specchietto per le allodole per turisti ripeto gli abruzzesi non DEVONO entrare non esiste la carne alla griglia mi sembra una presa per il ……. Cambiate mestiere

28/07/2025: Cena in 4 in questo ristorante un sabato di Luglio . Lunghi tempi di attesa tra una portata e l' altra. Il proprietario al quale lo facciamo notare ci risponde che di sabato se la prendono comoda. Alcuni piatti del menu' non disponibili. Cucina al di sotto delle aspettative, tranne l' antipasto.
20/07/2025: Pochi tavoli occupati di sabato, tempi molto lunghi per avere i piatti a tavola; coniglio indecente solo ossa, secco e in compenso in bagno d'olio ma nessun peperone. Antipasto da salvare, tutto sommato direi non tornerei, ciò che infastidisce è l'atteggiamento del proprietario che trova scuse e non accetta gli errori fatti. Probabilmente un bagno di umiltà aiuterebbe a crescere ma la vedo dura. Prezzi normali.
