28/09/2025: This restaurant has always been a point of reference for hikers in the Abruzzo National Park. Maintaining tradition for over 50 years, it's a family-run restaurant with a rustic atmosphere and a friendly atmosphere. Traditional cuisine and locally sourced ingredients are served.

15/09/2025: This place was recommended by acquaintances. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food (the ravioli weren't of the highest quality) or the service, which was a bit chaotic.
07/09/2025: Every time we passed by, we noticed a lot of cars, so we decided to book for lunch, but the dishes weren't satisfying. The first courses were flavorless and seasoned with less-than-fresh ingredients, while paying €18 for a roast with two pieces of meat seemed excessive to me. They could be improved.

20/09/2025: I went for the carbonara, which I'd been hearing good things about for a while. It's a rustic place with a lovely outdoor space. The wait was a bit long, but it was definitely worth it. I recommend it.

16/06/2025: Questo luogo va vissuto. Non penso sia possibile descriverlo, per la ricchezza di cose che contornano i tavoli. Storia, arte, luci, colori. L’interno una passeggiata in cose meravigliose, d’altri tempi. Le pietanze, poi, toccano la perfezione. Il carpaccio di cervo con i carciofini è squisito, lo è anche un prosciutto, tagliato spesso, bagnato con olio d’oliva EVO. Completa il tutto un servizio professionale, amichevole e rispettoso. Tornerò, sicuramente.

27/07/2025: Esperienza terribile. Siamo stati in questo ristorante su consiglio di amici. Cucina turistica e trattamento becero.
Quando è arrivata la carne, nell'immediato il tagliere si è riempito di mosche. La carne era dura, di pessima qualità e bruciata.
Da evitare.

31/08/2025: I never write reviews! This place deserves them all. We were coming from Ortona towards Rome at lunchtime, the kids were hungry, and the large dog needed to stretch his legs. Luckily, we were turned away from another restaurant, and by chance we ended up here. Extremely hospitable, the food was plentiful and of high quality. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE STAFF. THANKS AGAIN

28/09/2025: Passing through the area, we stopped for a coffee at the bar. The place was clean. We had a slice of their homemade tart, which was delicious. And as a Neapolitan, I can tell you that the coffee is delicious. A great stop, we'll be back.
26/09/2025: I'm writing on behalf of Mrs. Mariani. The dishes we were served were always free, and no one ever asked for anything extra. Perhaps when you offered us polenta, it was devastating for you to make one with sauce and one without? You offered the gnocchi... it's not a crime to ask if they were also available on the day we were there. The fettuccine alla boscaiola were on the menu... but you didn't serve them. The fettuccine with sage is made differently... perhaps sautéed with fresh sage leaves... anyway, the most unpleasant thing is how you phrased your responses to our comments.

30/08/2025: My husband and I, both Calabrian, dined here a couple of evenings during our stay in Abruzzo. What can I say? Super friendly staff, excellent food, impeccable service, and the meat is a spectacle... top notch! Long live Abruzzo and the Abruzzesi... exquisite people!

19/07/2025: Dopo una lunga passeggiata, di ritorno dal castello ci fermiamo qui per cenare. La carne arrosto alla brace è molto buona così come i contorni di verdure grigliate. Buonissimi i dolci. La ragazza che ci serve è carinissima e gentile. Prezzi poco poco alti ma ci sta perché c’è la buona qualità del prodotto.
11/07/2025: Poca attenzione agli ospiti, le luci non vengono completamente accese, per cui mangi in penombra senza vedere bene la pietanza. La porta della cucina rimane sempre aperta per cui i fumi della carni sono tutti in sala! Il vino rosé è imbevibile! Cibo nella media, prezzi un pochino sopra.
