17/01/2026: Each time, the same wonderful confirmation: exquisite dishes, expertly prepared, with authentic and well-balanced flavors that manage to be intense without ever being heavy. The cuisine is respected, enhanced, and served with the care that makes the difference between "eating well" and "mementoful eating." Even takeout—which is far from a given—maintains the quality, flavor, and abundance worthy of table service. Da Carlo is the classic place where you go with peace of mind, knowing you'll make a great impression on your guests and that you'll leave happy (and definitely full) first. A serious, reliable restaurant, but with that genuine warmth that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for special occasions... and for when you simply want to eat truly well.

19/10/2025: We went to Ristorante Romano da Carlo for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Excellent products and impeccable service. Plus, it's excellent value for money. I recommend you go and try it. Well done!!!

10/06/2026: A spritz made with just ice costs 8 euros, the coffee ordered at the counter is served in a single-serve version if you're not very nice.

04/06/2026: By far the best place to sit and chill out in Salerno. Drinks are great and well priced and of an evening the atmosphere is brilliant and you can drink like the locals do 👌Walid is the best host, very attentive and will have a joke with you 10/10

18/06/2026: Good evening, Despite the scorching heat, at the end of the soccer game we discovered there was no water available. Let's be clear, other pitches offer bottled water to all players, but that's not the problem; the problem is finding out that the on-site bar closes before the final games. When I asked at reception, they told me the only option available was to drink from a non-potable fountain. This, to me, is a serious lack of services despite the facility boasting about its CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) membership. I strongly advise against it.

29/09/2025: An excellent place to spend a few days in Paestum in peace and comfort. Just two minutes from the Archaeological Park, with breakfast and parking included, it's a truly welcoming property. Meticulously maintained, it also offers rooms with whirlpool tubs. The owner is truly a wonderful lady. Go there!

22/11/2025: The place is well-kept and tidy, and the staff are very friendly. Good pizza, but no offense, nothing like Neapolitan pizza! The only downside is €2.00 for adding tomato sauce to a white pizza that already costs €18. A real steal, no balaclava needed 😂

09/11/2025: A very elegant establishment with a select clientele, and a kind and refined staff. Excellent coffee...a wide selection of desserts...truly something for everyone. But above all, impeccable cleanliness. The prices are commensurate with these days.

02/06/2026: Used Bounce to store our suitcase here before getting some pastries. The staff were very friendly and pastries was amazing! Less than 2 minutes walk from the central station as well.

13/05/2026: Small bar near the station, with friendly, helpful staff! Excellent luggage storage service (€5).

21/06/2026: Horrible, disgusting, and flavorless dish. The dough was so bad, it was made three years ago. My celiac friend ordered a gluten-free pizza with sausage and fries, and she got a slice of pizza with pancetta and mozzarella, which was VERY HARD. I will never return to this place.

03/09/2025: Procem!). There is no road to the sea. Only if you go by the highway, and the jungle. But this hike can be paid, in terms of walking along the highway, a fine. And in the undergrowth there are snakes. Parking for two or three cars. There is a toilet, you can get water. No shower.

30/08/2025: Rude staff. I spent an hour waiting at the gas station to get gas, because the man was having a chat with a girl and he would even rudely answer you when you asked to fill up... learn to work, rude people.

03/06/2026: The place is beautifully furnished, probably at a considerable expense, but the investment is limited to the walls. The service is terrible and lacks the basics of the trade. The staff is disorganized and in total panic over just two customers. Spending on aesthetics and saving on staff is the classic philosophy of our dear Vallo entrepreneurs.
