19/08/2025: An Italian-French restaurant in Sorbo Serpico We happened upon this delightful restaurant by chance on the August bank holiday. To our surprise, we discovered that the owners and chef are both Italian and French. We sat down and were surrounded by great hospitality, in an oasis of tranquility, courtesy, and kindness. The food was delicious and well-prepared, with just the right amount of flavor, and in a general context that emphasizes the use of salt, it allowed the flavors of the ingredients to shine through without altering their taste. I really enjoyed the escargots, which are hard to find in Italy. I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect blend of gorgonzola and porcini mushrooms, which allowed you to appreciate the flavor of pasta cooked just right al dente. The filet mignon was also excellent, with a mustard sauce that was well-balanced in flavor and saltiness. For dessert: we expected the crème brûlée, which is on the menu, but unfortunately it wasn't available. The baba we were served was a bit disappointing, both for the little-to-no rum-based syrup and the unusual plating, with honey and sprinkles (!) We discovered they also make fondue, and we've made plans to return to try it. A pleasant experience, with light and easily digestible dishes. Highly recommended.

26/12/2025: A short distance from the Church of San Gerardo, in Materdomini, we chose "Lo Spigolo" for dinner. The restaurant is simple and spartan, the service quick and efficient. I recommend starting with the house antipasto, consisting of several delicious dishes, especially the potato flans with dried peppers, mushrooms, and cod. The pizza is excellent, fragrant, with a light crust and flavorful ingredients. The desserts are delicious, both the struffoli and the millefeuille with black cherry and Chantilly cream. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

25/10/2025: The owner/manager (or so he acted) didn't make us feel very welcome. The rest of the staff was fine. The food was okay, nothing special. A 25-cent wine was charged for the price of three-quarters of a glass, which isn't very kind.

18/12/2025: Rustic, home-style cuisine, truly authentic and authentic. Friendly and helpful service. Prices are "out of the ordinary," I'd say; a full menu with a drink, appetizer, two first courses, a second course, fruit, dessert, and a cover charge is €20.

06/12/2025: Excellent location, easily accessible by foot from the village (about 800 meters). The food is home-cooked, and the hosts are very kind. It's clearly a farmhouse with its own unique features.

26/12/2025: Keeping in mind this started off as a take out food and now it's got tables and an amazing vibe. Not many pizza places have this enegy... Try the kebab/shawarma. It comes on 3 different strategies ⚡. Also need to add that we are normally a table of 10-12 people every Saturday night and with wine and shared starters followed by a main meal still cannot spend €100 total bill. Crazy value for money. Book or you going into wait!
