10/03/2026: We just returned from our experience at Popilia this weekend (March 7-8). We had a SPA dinner and an overnight stay... Let's start with the positives, and it's not to be underestimated, as there were many. Starting with the breathtaking walkway, the very well-maintained facility, and in fact, the aesthetics of the interior and exterior would have been five stars for me... After the two-hour spa, I must unfortunately say that was one of the sore points... The spa was certainly well done, but not completely... Let me explain... The pool area is very narrow, and the thing that bothered us was that there were too many people in an otherwise fairly small facility, but let's move on... Dinner after the spa and breakfast the next day were average, with certainly affordable prices. A special mention goes to the first courses at the on-site restaurant, where I really enjoyed the small plate I ordered with squid ink. As for the breakfast, it was adequate but lacking in choice, and above all, I was annoyed to see that, for example, we had to make our own cappuccino using the machine provided. If a guest comes and sleeps overnight at the hotel, breakfast should be a very important matter, with meticulous attention to detail. Let's move on to the negatives (besides the spa), which prompted us to give it 3 stars. After dinner, unfortunately, there was nothing to do, no games room or anything to entertain ourselves, and it's a shame, as the place is located on a hill, making it difficult to get around in the evening. I understand the need for tranquility, but perhaps for younger guests, having a recreational/play area for the evening (such as a games room) would have been helpful. This is more of a recommendation than a criticism. The outdoor areas are very nice, but even there, it's a bit lacking because you can get bored after a while, as the entire place can be explored in about an hour. It's true that there are activities, including tennis, soccer, and a fitness area, but I repeat, at least on weekends, there should be something recreational after dinner. It's certainly not disruptive or invasive, but at least for those who want to spend the evening/night, it could be a good idea. The rooms were excellent, very clean, and the temperature was comfortable. The overall price was affordable. Overall, an experience worth repeating. I'd like to point out that these aren't criticisms, but rather recommendations.

30/09/2025: Didn’t expect to find such a wonderful gourmet burger place. My wife thought it was going to be a fast food type place, boy were we wrong and we did “Enjoy our Burger”. As soon as we stepped in the door we were impressed by the interior of the building. Such a nice place to dine. Excellent selection of burgers on the menu with a special of the month. There was so much choice it took a long time to decide. The burgers were extremely tasty and filling. Excellent value for the money considering the good quality ingredients they used. The fries were thin but a wedge style, quite different but cooked well and crispy. They have specialty beers available.

17/03/2026: The food here is divine; I was lucky enough to dine on the local catch, which was truly top-notch. Next time I come back for work, I'll have to try the pizza, which they say is interesting because of its unique dough.

18/01/2026: Visited several times over the years, it has lost its ranch spirit over time, gradually becoming a restaurant and less of a riding stable and rural activity. In the past, you could sense a much more familiar atmosphere than you do today. The outdoor play area, unfortunately, lacks trees and is almost unusable on hot days because the sun heats the plastic, making it scorching hot. I also noticed a shift in the food, and where there was once sophistication, there is now a repetitiveness of things you've seen many times before. Alas, the name, which once perfectly suited this establishment, now seems anachronistic and almost out of place. No horses, no riding stable, nothing of the Ranch remains.

21/02/2026: After a conference, my family and I found ourselves having lunch at Mimmo's. The place is small and charming, with a calm and quiet atmosphere that encourages relaxation. The dishes are excellent and plentiful, with aromas that, in my opinion, are exquisite. We will definitely be back.

29/01/2026: I live in the North and I returned to Mimmo's after 10 years since the last time... Everything was delicious, the quality of the ingredients was excellent and the preparation was spectacular. (After years of restaurants, I didn't feel thirsty because of the excessive salt.) Superlative service with the owner and two really kind and capable guys in the dining room... Fair and honest prices... I'll be back and hopefully within another 10 years.

23/03/2026: The best arancini in Calabria! The owners are incredibly kind! My only advice is to open a little earlier in the morning so anyone wanting an arancini for lunch can stop by before 12:30.

11/03/2026: A fantastic place, a very atmospheric restaurant with incredibly friendly service 🥰🥰. Delicious arancini and a huge selection. All the other food is equally delicious. A very nice and clean place, very fast service. A must-try when in Calabria ♥️👌. I highly recommend it 😊

Delicious fried food, light and easily digestible pinza, and exquisite homemade desserts, thanks in part to the high-quality ingredients. Beautiful place, impeccable service, and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.

15/03/2026: Chosen for a break during a journey, it was a pleasant surprise: a nice, welcoming place with plenty of parking. Then, a first course as pictured, truly delicious gnocchi alla sorrentina, followed by scallops in white wine and a salad. I left the table satisfied. I'll stop again on my way back.
