28/09/2025: A truly excellent family-run restaurant. We're obviously talking about a small town setting: you won't find Barolo risotto, Quiche Lorraine, Confit de Canard, or other gourmet dishes. But here in Santa Domenica and the surrounding area, it's one of the best restaurants: a truly deserved 5 stars, thanks to its simple, traditional, authentic, and delicious cuisine. There's nothing better for spending an evening with family or friends on a budget (I've attached the entire menu), eating well without feeling full, in a pleasant setting (a large, glass-enclosed terrace with spectacular views, suitable even in winter) with efficient and courteous service. Be careful with the appetizers, which are always generous: the house appetizer (€18 for 2) is supposed to serve two, but is more than enough for three. The first courses are excellent. The "della casa" and "bellavista" cavatielli are particularly popular, as are the ravioli and, for those who like spicy food, the "paccheri alla calabrese." A friend of mine comes here especially for the wild boar ragù: in his opinion, it's the best he's ever eaten. One small flaw is the second course menu: it's a bit limited in terms of selection and exclusively for meat. The positive aspects are that, after the appetizer and first course, you usually skip the second course and move straight to dessert; the meat is also excellent. The desserts are typically homemade: varied and traditional, that is, rustic, all homemade by Mrs. Michelle. Very good in my opinion, but those who don't appreciate this kind of thing can happily opt for the exquisite sorbets and Sicilian granitas. The pizzeria offers a wide selection, excellent quality (if you like your pizza not too thick, known here as "Roman-style"), and above all, affordable. Parking is on the street and isn't always easy. The restrooms are clean but space is limited, making it somewhat difficult for wheelchair users. Finally, the terrace is not accessible (it's on the first floor, with rather narrow stairs). The view, however, is spectacular even from the ground floor.

08/09/2025: I've been to Hedò in Pizzo and can't recommend it highly enough! The fish is incredibly fresh and impeccably cooked, every dish is a true delight. The open kitchen is spectacular, immediately conveying the transparency and passion they put into it. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home, while the waiters are incredibly professional and attentive. The wine selection is also excellent, perfect for pairing with the dishes. The location is beautiful, well-kept, and welcoming, and the prices are truly fair for the quality offered. In short, it's one of those experiences that stays with you forever and makes you want to return as soon as possible. Hedò is a must-try in Pizzo!

29/09/2025: Aftwer 2 weeks eating all over Calabria, this is the place that for me best defines the cuisine: great local ingredients, classically prepared with just the right amount of modern approach as to not become yet another one of those places that take Nonas food and throws asian spices in it. Loved the Polpo con Patata, the Tuna Tataki was amazingly fresh and the Raviolo con Scampi was so simple and si flavourful with just a few ingredients: pasta, cream, scampi, spinach. The bread they served reminded me of the one my grandma used to make 😀

04/10/2025: For a simple coffee at an outside table, I was charged €2.30: truly excessive. If the service entails such a premium, I expect at least some professionalism—not that they'd forget the sugar with the coffee and, later, the fork for dessert.

27/09/2025: The menu is delicious and the ingredients are top-quality, from Sicilian grandmother's caponata to the grand finale with sensational desserts. Aromatic and delicate cocktails (I thought I'd never drink one again, but here they succeeded!). The staff and owner are friendly, courteous, and British (and some of us were very patient, as it was our first time there). A truly unique venue, elegant and refined in every way: the decor, furnishings, and background music are perfect for spending an evening chatting with friends. A top-notch venue for top-notch guests.

31/10/2025: This restaurant is highly recommended and easy to find near the cathedral. The staff is very dedicated, and the cuisine is superb, featuring local specialists. The cipolle frites are divine, as is the tuna steak with a pistachio crust. The house red wine perfectly complements the culinary experience. We've been there twice and would gladly return. 😀

11/09/2025: The view was so pretty, the place was quiet and the atmosphere clean. The place had picnic tables, electricity and running water. The most impressive was the fact that the toilets were perfectly clean. I would totally recommend if you want a remote place, with minimum people and connection to the nature, while still having some basic facilities. The stuff was friendly and helped us with all of our questions

05/09/2025: Fantastic experience. I recommend everyone to try Agriturismo La Fontanella. It's the best, starting with the parents and ending with the super-educated and helpful children. The food is all good and healthy, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Try it and you won't regret it.

24/10/2025: It's a small place, but with plenty of space between tables. Its atmosphere is pleasant, rustic, and cozy, with a nautical decor that filled the walls and achieved a very successful effect. The waiter who served us was very friendly and helpful. We first chose a Caprese salad, not very abundant but rich in flavor. We were perfect with our fish dishes: fried calamari and grilled tuna steak. Being in Pizzo, it was almost obligatory to order the typical dessert: truffle. It was very good.
