17/02/2025: Unfortunately we only found the rudeness to be gargantuan. Having arrived on site on Saturday 15/02 at lunchtime, after making a telephone reservation, we were rudely addressed by a member of staff, who, having seen us lingering in the doorway for about a minute, came out telling us "Do you have to eat? Well, maybe get moving!". I can understand that the kitchen was closing, but we arrived at the time agreed upon by telephone, and I would say that there is no way to accommodate a group of ten people, especially during a less than generous winter season (no snow received, slopes closed, empty rooms). We then freed the Pantagruel staff from the inconvenience, heading towards another restaurant. P.s. Even the lady who took the reservation had an annoyed and unwelcoming tone. Sometimes it is good to remember that the quality of a restaurant is not only measured by the food, but also by the service and friendliness, because customers pay to have fun and feel good, certainly not to be scolded or mistreated.

15/02/2025: A rudeness that I have rarely ever encountered in a restaurateur. I felt offended. I don't understand how he can treat customers like this who still bring money to the facility. Meh.

14/02/2025: All’ultimo minuto, trovata per caso ed è stata davvero una scoperta. Molto attenti al senza glutine, essendo celiaca. Un ottimo risotto e arrosti misto non puoi sbagliare. Prezzo davvero ottimo.

29/12/2024: Turisti per un giorno a Sant'Angelo Le Fratte e Satriano ci siamo fermati a pranzo in questo ristorante invogliati dalle recensioni e dall'aspetto preciso e tranquillo del locale già dall'esterno. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e professionalità da Rocco che ci ha consigliati anche sui piatti da ordinare. Cibo genuino e veramente ben cucinato, buon vino e clima accogliente ed intimo. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

08/03/2025: Service as slow as a snail, they told us we could come at 9pm and at 11pm they hadn't yet served us a very banal margherita, after constant complaints it finally arrived, decent food, smelly bathroom and dirty dishes. I definitely won't go back and I advise everyone not to go there, they are rude and disrespectful of those who, among a thousand commitments, decide to go and eat a pizza, but the saying "waiting increases the desire" does not belong to this disgusting place to say the least.

14/10/2024: Accolti in modo semplice, ma quasi famigliare, eravamo due coppie, ci siamo accomodati fuori ed abbiamo mangiato vari assaggi della pinsa ( tipica romana ) che è piaciuta molto a tutti tanto da avvertire il dovere di complimentarci con i titolari; panificio di prodotti antichi con produzione di pane dal sapore antico; devi aggiungere che ci è stato permesso di consumare una bottiglia di vino portata da noi …

21/01/2025: We were passing through and found ourselves in this restaurant by chance. We were looking for a typical place, without too many tourists and where the cuisine and flavors were still authentic. A very kind lady welcomes us and lets us sit...I immediately go back in time and the kindness of the waitresses makes me feel at home straight away. The menu is dictated to us orally and this particularly surprised us because we heard how they still want to maintain the Tradition! (today most waiters don't even know what the kitchen offers because they have this QR as a menu..) We order ... and we have a hard time choosing because everything seems wonderful since it's all made by hand! the house wine was excellent and the dishes, once they arrived, took us back in time, authentic, real, delicious flavours! Not to mention that they also offered us a bruschetta with fresh mushrooms which was EXCEPTIONAL! Everything was delicious besides being surprised at the cost of lunch... we had half a glass of wine, 2 first courses (one of which was with fresh mushrooms), 1 exceptional second course, water and 2 coffees at the modest price of 40 euros! We were amazed by this too! I have Lucanian origins and I felt like I was truly going back in time and it fills my heart to see how today there are still those who count on tradition! We highly recommend and if we were to return, Da Giovanni will now be a fixed stop! Thanks to all the staff!

17/01/2025: Serene and peaceful environment, polite and helpful service. The place may not be the most elegant in the world, but it is comfortable and clean (even the toilets, and this is not something to be taken for granted). As soon as we entered the room, an efficient air conditioner was turned on; very welcome attention. The service was quick, attentive (I am a vegetarian and I was accommodated without problems). But above all the food, which in a restaurant is what really matters: everything is excellent, tasty, tasty. Average prices.

08/02/2025: This little Italian corner offers the visitor an insight into the beautiful atmosphere that Melfi has to offer. The staff is welcoming, and the food is first class without a doubt. I am very happy to have walked into this amazing restaurant alone because the local guests are ver welcoming.

22/12/2024: Ogni volta che pernotto presso l’Albergo La Primula la cena presso il loro ristorante è d’obbligo. Locale semplice, ben arredato, con servizio molto professionale e celere. Ottima, ottima cucina. Si mangia divinamente. Piatti della tradizione locale lucana. Chef di livello medio-alto. A volte penso che questo ristorante sia sprecato in un albergo. In un’altra location sarebbe molto più frequentato. Petto d’oca stagionato con un filo d’olio ed arance, cortecce con peperoni cruschi e cacio ricotta, tortino di cioccolato bianco e pistacchio. Un calice di un ottimo rosato Flordelis delle Cantine Re Manfredi. Veramente una eccellente cena con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo trattandosi, secondo me, di una cucina con tendenze gourmet.

09/12/2024: Che dire...La gentilezza fatta persona a partire dalla proprietaria passando per lo chef fino ai camerieri..ringrazio tutti uno ad uno. Un pranzo cucinato con tutti i crismi, ottimi i primi ( finalmente cotti alla perfezione e non crudi) un gusto delicato, la carne gustosissima, la torna bella e buona. Un ringraziamento davvero a tutti. A presto
