The structure is surrounded by greenery, meticulously maintained down to the smallest details while maintaining that rustic, authentic charm that makes you feel immediately at ease.

The real highlight is the cuisine. We dined on-site and were blown away: the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Honorable mention goes to the homemade dishes, probably the best I've ever eaten. Breakfast, too, with homemade cakes and artisanal jams, is a perfect start to the day.

19/03/2026: I rarely leave reviews, but this time you deserve it! We went to this place for lunch on Sunday, a group of hungry bikers. It's a nondescript place from the outside, but once you enter, everything is new and welcoming. We ate very well, from appetizer to dessert (we're talking homemade cuisine and zero-mile products, so don't expect gourmet dishes), and everything was delicious. Excellent value for money, I recommend it, especially because they're young and know what they're doing. Keep it up!

18/02/2026: We stayed at the Hotel San Nicola, which recommended this traditional inn to us. Located in Lagonegro, it's warm and welcoming. Traditional specialties and home-cooked food. Low prices and generous portions. For two appetizers, a first course, a second course, four pizzas, chips, water, Coke, and wine for six, we spent €65. The pizzas were really good, as were the first and second courses. A definite stop if we're ever in the area again.
15/02/2026: This is the second year we've returned as a group to Lagonegro during this time, and Locanda da Federico has remained the same. A welcoming trattoria with an old-fashioned feel. The menu varies based on the availability of ingredients, and the pizza is made with excellent dough and fresh, local ingredients. For us, it remains a permanent and permanent spot for our outings in Basilicata. Suitable for everyone, from families with children to couples and groups.

Excellent restaurant with home-made dishes. Homemade pasta, grilled dishes, and excellent braised meat.
Prices are reasonable.

29/12/2025: Catapulted into a room reminiscent of a perfectly winter-themed mountain cabin, warm and welcoming, with meticulous attention to detail in the furnishings and table setting, we discovered this burger joint that left us very satisfied. We began with an amuse bouche that perfectly anticipated the flavors we later found in the sandwiches, featuring top-quality meat and decidedly satisfying and comforting accompaniments of sauces, cheeses, and various toppings. We also want to highlight the crispy, well-made fries. The only criticisms were the somewhat slow service and the aesthetically unhelpful choice of sauce on the bun instead of in the bun, making it obviously impractical to eat with your hands (for us, convenience always comes before the foodporn visual effect, especially since the sandwich would have been just as beautiful to look at). We also had a small complaint about the slightly higher-than-average €3 cover charge.
28/12/2025: It's like stepping into a Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movie: a saloon atmosphere, all wood, warm lighting, and a truly refined and evocative setting. The place has a strong identity and immediately makes you feel like you're in the right place for "tough guy" dining.
The burgers are excellent, plentiful, and juicy, but the real highlight is the grilled meat: delicious and high-quality, perfectly cooked, and incredibly flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are carefully selected. Overall, the food is excellent.
The only downside is the service, which is a bit slow: we waited, especially for the bill. You can tell the staff is sparse for the size of the place, and they're not always very knowledgeable.
Overall, though, it's an absolutely worthwhile place for its atmosphere and cuisine. With more experienced service, it would truly be top-notch.

30/10/2025: It could have been better, but the room was cold, the dishes didn't captivate you, the service was ok, they even offered us amari at the end but then not having the POS and anyway we paid a lot
19/10/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at this family-run restaurant and were truly impressed. The warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately makes you feel at home, with attentive yet never intrusive service.
The cuisine is the real highlight: authentic dishes, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, reflecting tradition with a touch of personality. Each course exuded care and passion, from the selection of appetizers to the simply delicious homemade desserts.
Special mention goes to the friendliness of Carmen and her mother Giuseppina, who made our lunch even more enjoyable. It's clear that behind every detail is a family that loves what they do.
Highly recommended for those seeking authentic flavors and a family-friendly yet refined atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

14/12/2025: Congratulations for the truly excellent food, for us Neapolitans we truly found a family atmosphere with excellent cuisine very very similar to ours, I recommend it to everyone especially the crocche' or better and panzarott top
