03/02/2025: Esperienza pessima. Siamo stati a cena con amici in questo ristorante, curiosi di provare la fantomatica "follia" dello chef, che avevamo visto a 4 Ristoranti. Se durante l'intera serata il nostro è stato l'unico tavolo ad essere occupato, abbiamo capito il motivo non appena sono arrivati I piatti. Iniziamo con una cotoletta per mia figlia di 2mm di spessore, visibilmente industriale e probabilmente precotta. Andiamo avanti con gli antipasti :17€ per una fetta di prosciutto e una di pancetta, anch'esse industriali a giudicare dalla consistenza e successivamente dal gusto. Un cestino con del carpaccio su cui erano stati lasciati degli spicchi di mandarino non si capisce per quale alto espediente culinario e una salsa di dubbia composizione. 12€ per due tortini di caciocavallo adagiati su una quintalata di purea di frutti di bosco (forse Zuegg??), fortemente voluti dalla mia amica (celiaca e incinta, il tutto dichiarato appena seduti). Peccato non abbia potuto neanche assaggiarli, perché fortunatamente ci è venuto il dubbio che il cameriere avesse potuto dimenticare di riportare l'allergia in cucina e abbiamo chiesto conferma del gluten free. Naturalmente i tortini contenevano farina. I secondi : Tagliata di vitello per la suddetta ragazza incinta, esplicitamente richiesta molto ben cotta e chiaramente servita decisamente venata di sangue. Girella di salsiccia che mi ha fatto ricordare di dover dare da mangiare al gatto al rientro. Raramente ho pagato così tanto per mangiare così male. Esperienza da non ripetere.

17/01/2025: What can I say... we will definitely return to Ginfranca. From the kindness to the authenticity of the products, everything was perfect. We were a group of friends and we occupied all the rooms... we were super satisfied. The kids had a lot of fun. Fantastic stay!!!

02/01/2025: Abbiamo trascorso due giorni in questa struttura poco fuori il paese, nella tranquillità della campagna lucana. Ha diverse camere spaziose e molto pulite, per la colazione c’è ampia disponibilità di prodotti sia dolci che salati. Cena e pranzo nel ristorante gestito direttamente dal proprietario joseph che è simpaticissimo e sempre disponibile, oltre che un bravissimo cuoco. Grazie a lui ed a tutti i collaboratori, sicuramente torneremo

19/08/2024: I stayed in Lauria with my partner for a week and the Happy Café was our regular stop both for breakfast and after dinner. What can I say? We had a more than good time. The staff is very friendly, makes you feel at ease and I fell in love with the place! The food is great and the cocktails too. If you are in the area, I highly recommend going there. It's absolutely worth it.

06/01/2025: Very good culinary experience at the end of the tourist visit to the artistic alleys of Forenza. We start off well right from the booking, when we are asked about the possible presence of intolerances. Since this is the restaurant of a farm it is possible to taste "zero centimeter" products and in fact we gladly accept the fixed menu consisting of starter, first course, second course and dessert. As a Tuscan I love meat, here you are spoiled for choice (lamb, beef, pork) and importance is not given only to noble cuts; I am extremely pleased to discover lamb liver (spectacular!) and finally see tripe again in the restaurant (very delicate and tasty), in the kitchen importance is also given to details (a simple bruschetta becomes an apotheosis of aromas when the garlic and oregano which does not come from the supermarket is used). The appetizers are completed with sausages in sauce (superlative fennel), the inevitable pecorino, capocollo and salami, vegetables, finishing with broad beans and chicory with a crusco pepper that "sounds" (cracks) even after the litmus test (the humid heat some broad beans and chicory should have softened the pepper in a few minutes, but no, when it is fried well it resists undaunted like a good Lucanian!). Tested even with ingredients that are not self-produced (the cod used to fill the ravioli), the test passed! In over 40 years here I finally find a grilled lamb that doesn't give me reflux, it's about time! The dessert is presented as simple (sponge cake, mascarpone, mandarin, pineapple) yet is correct to the eye and the palate. Some bars dream of the coffee that is brought to us at the end of a royal lunch! And when you eat "healthy" products it doesn't take you hours to digest them, you leave the table obviously full but absolutely not weighed down. Low cost if we consider the quantity and quality of the dishes offered and served by the owner's daughter, a friendly girl ready to fulfill every request. The owner is keen to get feedback on the first tastings and he does well, only by asking is it possible to remedy any errors or bring compliments to the kitchen. There is an air of home, family management is good for places like this and perhaps also for this reason the service is quick albeit unhurried, given that it is a Sunday lunch. Thank you for this experience, to be repeated!

07/03/2025: The best and most affordable pasta we had in Rome! Every day, you can choose between two types of pasta—one vegetarian and one with meat. The portions are huge, and at just 5 euros, it's an absolute steal, especially considering the location near the Spanish Steps. The dishes are freshly made on-site, served warm, fragrant, and full of flavor. In addition, the interior designed like an old Italian pasta factory adds to the charm. Highly recommend!

20/02/2025: Wandering around the historic center, I find myself in this restaurant also "because" of the positive reviews. Never, ever have I read such fake reviews!!!! From all points of view it is a "forget it, it's better" place. Completely rejected.

07/02/2025: An experience not to be missed. I, as a tourist, asked the kind Vincenzo (who surprisingly cooks and manages the whole restaurant himself - and does it very well) to let me try something typical of Basilicata. He brought me various dishes, all truly excellent, and at a more than honest price. The environment is nice and welcoming, it has a familiar feel, taking you back home. I couldn't recommend it enough. Greetings from Brazil!
