Antonio and Francesco are extremely welcoming: from the moment you arrive, they make you feel at home, with a kindness and attention that truly makes a difference. The property and its surroundings are comfortable, relaxing, and very clean. The food is excellent, high-quality, and above all, plentiful, prepared with great care and passion. Furthermore, the view is simply stunning: waking up to such a beautiful view makes your stay even more special. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to spend a few days relaxing, enjoying good food, and experiencing authentic hospitality. I will definitely be back!

05/01/2026: We chose Acerenza as a base for our excursions. On our first night there, we decided to try the pizza at this restaurant, inspired by the reviews. It was a perfect choice...delicious pizza made by a skilled and certified pizza chef with undeniable talent: delicious pizzas!!!! We had reserved the B&B breakfasts at the bar in the same restaurant, where we met the delightful Donato, the waiter we had the pleasure of meeting the night before. We decided to return a couple of nights later to try the cuisine...the mixed roast was superb and superbly prepared! We highly recommend it... I forgot to mention the prices, absolutely in line with the excellent products offered.

23/02/2026: My partner and I, a chef and a gourmet, were visiting the village and stopped for lunch at this little restaurant in the historic center. At the suggestion of Stefano, the restaurant manager, we chose the daily menu, and had the pleasure of sampling authentic, down-to-earth, no-frills cuisine, yet beautifully presented, with the wonderful flavor of local ingredients. They produced their own cured meats and cheeses, a variety of fresh pasta made with local grains, including Senatore Cappelli, fantastic desserts, and much more, all at an excellent value. We'll definitely be back!

22/02/2026: Sunday in February, the only restaurant open in Pietrapertosa. Luckily, we found the last free table. A €25 menu with a typical Lucanian appetizer, two first courses, and dessert. Exceptional dishes, local cured meats and cheeses, and homemade pasta. Friendly service. Best dish: a first course with crusco peppers, walnuts, and toasted bread, and a magnificent homemade pasta dish. Recommended.

31/12/2025: I went to Forendum in Lavello (both restaurant and hotel) with my parents, and the experience was simply perfect. We ordered two pizzas, pasta, and an appetizer: everything was very, very, very good. You can taste the quality and attention to detail, with authentic flavors and a truly local and regional touch. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, always available, and with a way of doing things that made you feel right at home. The wine was also truly excellent: well-chosen and perfect to accompany dinner. Another thing that really struck me was the ambiance, unique and evocative: a sort of "cave-like" atmosphere, warm and unique, which made the evening even more special. Honestly, I have nothing to criticize. I recommend Forendum to anyone visiting Lavello: it's absolutely worth eating there. I would go back in a heartbeat!

22/02/2026: To escape the daily grind, we had lunch out. We chose Caluae because it was just passing through our destination. I was struck by the introduction to their menu, which explains the establishment's origins and management—a lovely detail. I found the place to be clean, which is important, with simple yet elegant tablecloths. The service was very attentive and orderly. The choice of dishes: a mixed cured meats appetizer, a sliced ​​steak, a plate of tortelli stuffed with meat and topped with truffle, a side of potatoes preserved in ash with crusco peppers, a delicious mille-feuille pasta with cream and berries, and a red fruit cheesecake. The food was very good; the only flaw was the portions, a bit small. As the sign at the entrance says, BEYOND TRADITION, you can feel the tradition and also understand that a lot of thought goes into what they prepare.

We started with a delicious appetizer of cod and cruschi peppers, followed by a generous cheese platter and two first courses that won us over with their balanced flavors. The perfect finale was a melt-in-your-mouth Pizzo Calabro gelato. The service, from the incredibly sweet waitresses and the owner, was equally genuine and attentive, making us feel right at home. The location is wonderful, with an enchanting view of the lake, which makes everything even more special. Many compliments!
