06/11/2025: Old world feel with photos of guests over the years on the wall. We were there at lunch in late September. The owner was there greeting everyone and taking orders. He let us know what was fresh that day, he was very helpful and the food was delicious. Very comfortable setting.

03/11/2025: Delicious food, everything made fresh, very kind and helpful staff, gluten-free options... What more can I say? It's the perfect way to end Lucca Comics! See you next year!

09/11/2025: I felt discriminated against; it was a terrible experience. My partner and I went to the restaurant tonight at 8:00 pm, and there was only one other table occupied by a family of five who were just looking at the menu. We asked the woman in charge what time they closed, and she said 10:00 pm. Then she asked us what country we were from. We told her we were from Chile, and she said she thought they would close earlier. We asked if they would close around 9:00 pm, and she replied that it would be earlier. We said that was fine because we just wanted to have tea and some of the sweets she had in the display case. She said no, and then I asked her why, since if it was about time, we could have eaten before they closed. She simply said that she sold the sweets as dessert, in an obvious attempt to end the conversation and make it clear that she wouldn't serve us. It's disconcerting to encounter such rudeness these days.

28/09/2025: Six adults and four children celebrated my birthday, everything was delicious, all the food was starters, first courses, steak, stewed duck, fried porcini mushrooms and the steak, the service was excellent, the owner was very kind and friendly, I highly recommend it, the prices were really good and the quality of the food was excellent.

08/09/2025: Lovely restaurant right outside of the main area of Montepulciano. The owner and his wife provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. As vegetarians we tried La Ribollita soup and the Cappellacci, both of which were delightful. Recommend this spot if you’re in the area looking for some good food.

29/10/2025: Tourist trap restaurant! Don't go! I was there on Aug 06, the waiter brought me a menu with breakfast special, it doesn't have price. I ordered one of the breakfast on the menu - scrambled egg with toast. When my bill came, I was charged €27 for 3 pieces of toast and a scrambled egg. They also charged me €4 for a bottle of water which I did not order. I questioned the water and they took it off from my bill, but I was still charged €27 for the egg toast plus €3 table fee per person . Update after the owner's feedback: The breakfast that I got was: scrambled egg toast, a cup of coffee, a cup of juice and waffles, total €47. Per the owner, the scrambled egg toast + coffee +juice is €27. Then I was charged €14 for the waffles while the menu indicates €8. If I had not read the bill, with the water, overcharged me €10. The owner’s feedback also brought up my nationality, and I’m not sure what she meant by that. Is she implying that people from certain countries don’t care about what’s on the bill while others do? Or was it a subtle form of discrimination? It seems that the owner can't handle the reviews that actually uncover the bad things that are happening there. Her reply was rude and insulting.

29/10/2025: This is the best restaurant that I ate in a travel in Europe for 23 days, I surely will come back!!! The beef slices with truffle, are of another world, besides prices are fare, thanks for existing!!!

14/11/2025: Nice and welcoming atmosphere. The dining room is friendly and attentive. A good value for money restaurant. The tagliata with Colonnata lard was good, as were the baked potatoes. Tiramisu with amaretto was interesting. The dark bread and the schiacciata all'olio were appreciated. The dishes were beautiful and well presented. The pici had a bit too much oil on the bottom, the overall dish could be improved, and the coffee could also be improved. Overall, I had a good time. €48 for a first course, second course, side dish, dessert, and coffee.
