05/04/2025: Food poisoning after having the seafood medley. I don’t see other posts about food poisoning here, so hopefully it’s a rare occurrence, but be careful what you order here.

05/06/2025: An inn outside of time and patterns. An authentic place where you can still breathe the true soul of Piombino from the past. Formalisms, labels and starred cuisine are banned, if you go to Mangiafuoco you do it to live an authentic experience, breathing, deeply, the true essence of a territory, made of traditions, jokes but, above all, of the sea! At Mangiafuoco you will find real fish, cooked with great skill and respect for the raw material, transformed into dishes that vary from day to day, based on the morning's catch. The dishes are generous and authentic and, in this, perfectly reflect those who cook them. The prices are affordable, within everyone's reach, and the service is informal but always courteous. Mangiafuoco is not for everyone but it certainly represents an obligatory destination for those who are still looking for a true experience, without the filters and appearances that characterize today's world. 24/05/2025: Gran tienda de vinos para comprar una botella (o más! ) , o tomar una copa afuera. Entramos fuera de la calle a una encantadora bienvenida y probamos un par de copas de buenos vinos locales a muy buenos precios. Terminamos en una gran conversación con los lugareños y volveremos de nuevo antes de partir a Francia.

03/05/2025: Not satisfied with lunch: we ordered two salads with salmon which was practically absent, the staff never passed between the tables to check if anything was missing and the price was not proportionate to what we ate

05/01/2025: Cozy place, with a unique style: decor between steam punk and underground; soft, warm lights; large free parking; board games available; strictly rock/metal background music 🤟; tables also outdoors; welcoming staff prepared to present the beers on tap (which often vary!) and the delicacies, both savory and sweet, to accompany a cocktail or a beer. As a vegetarian I feel great. It is undoubtedly the reference pub in the municipality of Massarosa. 5/5 ⭐️

10/06/2025: Awesome food: one of the best pasta we had in Italy so far. Service: our server was professional and friendly. Wine: don’t mark up too much and had a great selection. Atmosphere: it was cozy, special, we all loved it. This restaurant has Michelin star since 2007. We counted it and I think they only missed couple years and won every single year after. We are not surprised since their food is spectacular.

08/06/2025: Gosh what an experience! This restaurant deserves all it's praise! The food was outstanding, I am still blown away by how tasty it was! The boar cooked in wine and milk for hours was especially good. The staff were all friendly and executed their jobs very well. I would recommend to anyone. Just be sure to book a table well in advance as they are very busy.

03/06/2025: Locale raccolto e gradevole, personale cortese; abbiamo preso il menù degustazione più completo "greatest hits" (130€). Iniziamo con alcune amuse-bouche semplici ma gradevoli (notevole il "biscotto" con mousse al baccalà); seguono piatti a mio parere non tutti di livello adeguato: emergono la quaglia con crema caramel ai funghi, il risotto mandorle e fagiano e il superbo petto di piccione con tarte di melanzane e ricotta affumicata; niente di eclatante gli altri piatti e deludente la "zuppa inglese nocciole e salvia", che in sè è interessante solo per l'accostamento di sapori ma risulta piuttosto "povero"; in sostanza una cena piacevole ma l'aspettativa era più elevata.

15/03/2025: Sarò sincero. Non penso di tornare. Locale piccolo, quasi angusto. Servizio attento, cucina precisa, ma non entusiasmante. Carta dei vini locale, forse troppo. Tutto bene, ma se devo fare il confronto, non ne parliamo.

25/05/2025: Mastarna Pub. Se Piombino fosse il polpo finito nel panino del Panvinaio o servito sui piatti di Mamma Carla, il Mastarna sarebbe sicuramente uno dei cuori pulsanti del centro tentacolare della città. Un pub rivisitato, con sapori misti sia nell'ambiente che sul menù, dall'Americano a punte di Tex Mex, ma il tutto preparato e servito con l'amore Italiano che c'è nella nostra cucina. Un posto che ti colpisce subito, rispetto a tutti gli altri locali per la sua vitalità ed energia. Fra tutto il personale spicca Rita, la proprietaria del Mastarna, un concentrato di vitalità, sorrisi e duro lavoro. Veniamo accolti con cortesia, prima da una ragazza dello staff di Rita, e poi da Rita in persona, che ci accomoda in 5 minuti. Ci riconosce subito, per averci servito il pranzo al Panvinaio, sempre una sua attività, che gestisce insieme al trittico dell'osteria Mamma Carla e del Mastarna. Un gruppo di attività gestite con successo da 30 anni. E il successo si vede, il servizio è cortesissimo e impeccabile, e Rita, con grande spirito di abnegazione, orchestra con una sprizzante allegria e coinvolgimento, senza esimersi dallo sparecchiare anche un tavolo, o servire una bibita. Iniziamo col bere, prendiamo una Schweppes Lemon che chiediamo di modificare con la cola e una Heineken. Il cibo sul menú è invitante, onestamente complice il mare abbiamo una fame da lupi. Optiamo per un fritto box da dividere, un Montanaro Burger e un Porko Esagerato con pulled pork e polpette! Il fritto è asciutto, ben preparato, i fiori di zucca sono perfetti. Ottimo inizio! Aspettiamo i panini, immersi nella musica e nell'entusiasmo del locale. Arrivano, la vista è eccellente e decidiamo di partire dal Montanaro, dai sapori delicati e profumo di funghi, che ha l'unico difetto di finire in tre morsi! Buonissimo. E poi... Il Porko, smezzato, per fortuna mangiato alla fine, perché ha un sapore deciso e pieno, il pulled pork è succulento e la polpetta gli fa degnamente da spalla. Ci sazia morso dopo morso, con grande soddisfazione. Veniamo lasciati tranquilli e mangiare e a goderci il locale e ci viene chiesto se vogliamo il dolce. Prendiamo il brownie, semplice ed efficace, con i sapori di fragole panna cioccolato e vaniglia che si sposano perfettamente. Finiamo la serata chiacchierando brevemente con Rita, promettendole che torneremo. Sarà sicuramente un piacere❤️!

07/05/2025: I was really impressed by this restaurant: from the warm welcome to the attentive and professional service, everything was perfect. The dishes were taken care of down to the smallest details, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavours. In particular, the lasagna and the stew were a real discovery! A place where I will definitely return and which I recommend to those looking for quality and passion in the kitchen.

27/02/2025: We stayed at Cerbana for 3 days to visit Tuscany. Great location to see Siena, Pisa, Florence. We felt at home, very comfortable room, breakfast with homemade cakes and super welcoming staff. We stopped for dinner and had a great meal. Highly recommended for both accommodation and just for restaurant. We will definitely be back!

06/06/2025: What to say one star is already too much for the rudeness of this place maybe too convinced we arrive in four It was about 11.30 in the place there were still people we order 4 coffees cost 10 euros ok no problem we pay They make us sit after 10 minutes the waiter comes back and tells us that the coffee cannot be made because the machine has already been cleaned. We were really disappointed by the very incorrect behavior maybe they wanted a more expensive drink to be made! I don't know, I only know that tourists are right to complain that Marina di Massa and a 0 for tourism said by us who are from Massa. Last thing after us a table arrived they made him sit and served.... How strange a bar with hours far from closing with the coffee machine already cleaned and then communicated after paying and ten minutes that one waits!!!!!!!! Respect respect you have to fly low and not feel too arrived

01/05/2025: Sitting on the edge of the cliff with panoramic views of the valley, La Rocca combines location and cuisine beautifully. We had lunch on the terrace overlooking the tufa stone cliffs – unbeatable setting. The food was excellent: bruschetta with lardo and honey to start, then pici pasta with duck sauce for me and a wild mushroom risotto for my partner. Everything was flavorful, seasonal, and well-executed. Staff were relaxed but attentive, and the local white wine (Bianco di Pitigliano) was crisp and refreshing. Mid-range prices (€35–€45), but totally worth it for the views and experience.
