14/10/2025: This is such a find. We are two English speakers and we just so happened to stumble upon Mina's cute and cosy little pub. Mina is born Italian but lived in England for the first 19 years of her life, and she made us feel right at home in Ischia with her genuine kindness and warmth. Excellent drinks, and lots of local advice helped us navigate the rest of our trip. I am so glad we game here. Mina, we will be back! Love Dan & Zoe

09/12/2025: We were there with a group of five. During our five-day stay in Meta, we ate there three times. The pasta was incredibly delicious and, in my opinion, the best I've ever eaten in Italy. The carbonara is highly recommended! The location right on the sea is breathtaking. Therefore, I recommend coming in the evening to enjoy a wonderfully delicious pasta while watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. The staff was always friendly and attentive. For the small town of Meta, this is an absolutely outstanding restaurant and a must-visit for any pasta lover! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.

08/10/2025: Best pizza joint in Italy! Prices are insanely affordable especially for what you get! Had the calabrese pizza witg N'djua, simply amazing!! Desserts delectable!! One guy even came and sat on his pizza on a motorcycle to get it home. Its that worth it!

09/11/2025: DON’T COME HERE! The Food sucks!!! I got the spaghetti and meatballs and was very salty and meatball wasn’t fresh. It’s not even an Italian thing. They charge $4 euro for water and $2 a person for cover charge, ripped off!!!

21/11/2025: Ottomano is a charming family run business with the kindest owners and servers. Not only did we try some of the best seafood we had in Ischia here, but the restaurant allowed us to stay inside with them even when they were closing, because of the rainfall that wouldn’t stop. We were unprepared and they kindly welcomed us to remain indoors as we enjoyed an espresso and cuddles from the owners dog. The mixed seafood appetizer is a must - it changed my opinion on anchovies for the better because of how fresh and lightly dressed in lemon it was. Everything is worth trying here. 26/10/2025: Taking the €5 taxi boat from S. Angelo to Spiaggia dei Maronti on October 6, 2025 (the day after the storm) was quite an experience for me. The sea offered otherworldly colors, and the visibility was so clear that I could recognize almost every house on the island of Capri. Things started off well for me! I had already bookmarked the Ottomano in Hamburg. I was not disappointed: the view, the food (super fresh alici marinati to start with, gnocchi alla sorrentina for the main course), a full bread basket, a large bottle of water, coffee, excellent service, and fabulous value for money. In short: simply delicious and wonderful! Il mio nuovo luogo di felicità – grazie mille! Tornerò!

04/12/2025: I ate at this restaurant many, many years ago. I feared it had lost its authenticity in the meantime, but surprise, it's remained the same! I'm giving it five stars because I like it a lot, but there's a problem: to reserve, you have to call in the morning during a fairly tight time slot, so it's not exactly easy. We also ended up in the room downstairs, where the kitchen is also located, and that's fine, I don't mind, but the table was really uncomfortable. All this doesn't change my mind about the 5 stars, because for me, this type of place represents the ideal. The fried cod was world-class: It's not everyone's job to know how to choose the right piece and how to fry it while keeping it light. A dish accompanied by a perfect escarole dish. Very reasonable prices. A super family-friendly atmosphere.

26/11/2025: What a fantastic restaurant! We had a truly wonderful evening. We chose the set menu, and it was exactly the right choice: both quantity and quality. A whole array of delicious seafood, an exceptionally well-prepared fish, all accompanied by two glasses of wine perfectly paired with the dishes. We recommend that first-time visitors choose this menu, as it offers a lovely variety of options. A future visit can focus on a specific dish—or dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant. We are already looking forward to repeating this wonderful experience.

26/11/2025: We had dinner here on Saturday night and it was truly a wonderful experience. Excellent food, a vast menu for all tastes, and the staff were truly helpful and courteous. Plus, the prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. It's impossible to leave this pub on an empty stomach; we'll definitely be back!
