16/03/2026: Family lunch to celebrate my birthday. All in all, the food was good, with a good menu choice and good quality. The outdoor location could use a makeover, even though the courtyard is in the countryside. The interior is very vintage, dating from around 1850 to the post-war period. For lovers of this style, it's excellent, but personally, I find it overdone... but still, maximum respect. 👍🙏

20/03/2026: We had a really great meal! We ate there twice during our three-day stay. We had bruschetta as a starter and pasta afterwards. The dessert was fantastic each time. We paid €75 for a starter, two main courses, dessert, wine, etc. I can't think of anywhere else where we've had food that was significantly cheaper, especially not of this quality.

29/03/2026: Excellent lunch with a group of old friends and colleagues. Beautiful location and excellent service. The main courses were also excellent, with just a small suggestion to the chef to be more careful with the salt on the first courses, as some guests felt it was a little too much, but still very edible (perhaps it's also a matter of personal preference to eat less salty). The fish was beyond exquisite, as were the side dishes: delicious. Well done everyone, we'll definitely be back for another convivial lunch or dinner!

04/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve at the old cellars of Chianni, taking advantage of a three-day package that also included a New Year's Eve dinner. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the kind Alessio, who assigned us two very spacious and welcoming rooms on the first floor, with vaulted ceilings and comfortable beds. On the evening of the dinner, the dining room was beautifully decorated and the food was abundant, with well-prepared meat and fish, using excellent ingredients, and including high-quality local drinks. The evening was enlivened by Andrea's live music, with the option of requesting songs from a wide selection thanks to the QR code left on the tables, allowing everyone to listen to their favorite hits. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with a wide selection of sweet and savory options. We were traveling with our Cocker Spaniel, who was made very welcome. Thanks to the courtesy of the staff, the authenticity of the property, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the quality of the restaurant, we had a truly pleasant stay that allowed us to explore the Valdera, with Chianni as our base. We will return in spring to enjoy new shades of color on these rolling hills.

26/03/2026: We happened upon it by chance and outside of opening hours, and were welcomed, albeit with a restriction on main courses only. A shame, because they should have been decidedly upscale. The atmosphere is rustic yet refined. Adequate space is available for individual tables. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but it's high quality. The cod and braised meat were truly top-notch. The price was reasonable.
