05/05/2026: We came around 11 o'clock to ask what time they open because we wanted to plan lunch there - I heard that it's not a bar and they open at 11:30. We arrived a moment after this hour, we had large backpacks with us so we took a seat at a table for 4 people (me and my fiancé) - I would like to emphasize that no one was in the restaurant. The waiter came and told us to move to a smaller table even though there were no other people. The food and drinks were very good - I don't want to miss it. Then people started to gather - each table got a welcome treat, unfortunately we didn't - maybe a moment after opening they didn't have ready yet. 2x service was added to the bill - 3 euros per person, which in my opinion should count from a larger group or one service to one bill - especially since we took 1 pizza for half

19/05/2026: We had two very delicious cappuccinos with Grand Marnier here. The café is small but cozy. The service was very friendly, if a bit reserved, but that could be due to the language barrier, as we don't speak Italian. 😅 Unfortunately, we can't comment on the food, as we were only there for coffee.

17/05/2026: An amazing coffee and food experience in Bologna. From great pour over selections and latte drinks to delicious pancakes and crepes, we thoroughly enjoyed Aroma and spent two mornings here on our trip. The staff clearly is passionate about coffee and executes at a high level! Indoor and outdoor seating are comfortable although it’s small so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table. They do take away too.

29/04/2026: Located in the heart of Chinatown, this wine bar is legendary. It’s tiny, crowded, and perfectly chaotic. The owner let me try a glass of Valtellina Superiore—a local red wine from the Lombardy region that was smooth and earthy. It was the most "local" I felt all week.

19/05/2026: We had the most lovely meal at Il Carretto. The service was so friendly, they were helpful with the menu in explaining the dishes including the specials. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are decent. We had eggplant meatballs for starters which were so tasty. For mains I had the Spaghetti with muscles which had a great amount of muscles and a delicious flavour. We did not have room for dessert but I’d be keen to go back to see what they offer! Highly recommend this restaurant which is in a nice quiet location with beautiful views of the church tower up the alley way.

Spurcacciun-a undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the beauty of the place. The atmosphere is refined, elegant, and welcoming. The sea view, the well-kept garden, the palm trees—every detail contributes to creating a truly extraordinary setting. The welcome was impeccable. Special thanks to the head waiter, who greeted us with great professionalism, cordiality, and attention, making us feel immediately at ease. And then comes the food... and here words almost become insufficient. Every course was a discovery, a surprise, a thrill. Extraordinary flavors, magnificent presentations, interplays of textures, surprising trompe-l'oeil, and a creativity that never sacrifices flavor. Each dish tells a story and demonstrates a truly rare pursuit of perfection. We also had the privilege of meeting the chef and exchanging a few words with him. It was a very special moment that made the experience even more memorable. His passion, talent, and dedication are evident in every detail of the menu. It's difficult to find the right words to describe a dinner of this caliber. Elegance, refinement, creativity, and excellence come together in a truly exceptional gastronomic experience. We particularly appreciated the use of fish, an ingredient that not all restaurants showcase to its full potential, but which here is presented with skill and creativity. 11/06/2026: I'm now reviewing this restaurant where my wife, daughter, and I dined at the end of May. We had the honor and pleasure of being served by Renzo (who passed away a few days ago). He was a man of rare empathy and professionalism. The news left us in disbelief. The food was excellent and the service incredibly friendly. While Luca was bringing us appetizers, my daughter turned to me and said, "It's been a long time since I've had gratinated mussels," the expression of a simple desire. As dinner continued, Luca approached us with a plate full of gratinated mussels (not on the menu) and said, "I spoke with the girl and prepared them for you." For this alone, the restaurant is worth a visit because you're treated not just like a customer but like family.
