Historic place that has been able to evolve and update itself over its 120 years. Excellent cuisine and service with noteworthy research. It fully deserves the return of the Michelin star.

The apotheosis in Savona cuisine as regards service, kindness, authenticity and creativity in the dishes. Nothing is left to chance….. If you want to feel good, you will have to compromise when the bill arrives.

The restaurant is located in the same property as the Mare hotel, albeit with separate management, all owned by the same family for a lifetime. Let's start with the environment, located facing the sea, outdoors in the hot months and indoors in the cold ones, it is beautiful and relaxing with a priceless view. The service, truly at high levels, kind staff, always available and never intrusive, led by the incomparable maitre Giuseppe. Finally, the cuisine, simply sublime, led by chef Simone, with truly exceptional dishes. Mrs. Periwinkle manages the whole team perfectly. I have been frequenting the restaurant and also the hotel for over twenty years, and I can say that I have always been more than satisfied.

Davvero ottimo, tutto, servizio cibo e location

Ein äußerst gelungenes Degustationsmenue mit Meeresfrüchten. Hohes Niveau, und jeden Cent des Menue-Preises wert. Ausgezeichnete frische Zutaten, welche der sehr kreative Koch hier zusammen bringt. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis auch aufgrund der phantastischen Weinauswahl und dem erstklassigen Service! Sehr empehlenswert

Cena nel bellissimo dehors fronte mare, atmosfera impareggiabile. Abbiamo optato per il menù “Alta Marea”, quello con più portate… siamo arrivati alla fine veramente provati dall’esperienza perché oltre alle numerose portate (11!) bisogna contare 6 tipi di entrèe, pane, focaccia, una meravigliosa girella di sfoglia alle olive taggiasche (senza togliere nulla alle portate per i miei gusti è stata la cosa che ho preferito in tutta la cena!), due “sassolini” di burro (salato e al pomodoro e origano), l’immancabile olio ligure e 5 pezzi di piccola pasticceria. Consigliato per chi ha veramente tanta tanta fame! Tra tutti i piatti del menù cito quelli che mi sono piaciuti di più: il risotto all’aglio orsino con triglia e capesante affumicate, salsa all’aglio nero e al lampone fermentato; la rana pescatrice alla Wellington (con una fantastica sfoglia fatta in casa; trovo questo piatto geniale!) e il dolce, un bellissimo limone riprodotto con cioccolato bianco, yuzu e cuore di lemon curd accompagnato da una quenelle di sorbetto allo shiso. Il piatto che ho apprezzato di meno sono state le linguine fredde con tonno rosso, caviale e melanzane alla brace… non che il gusto non fosse buono, tutt’altro… ma più che “fredde” erano veramente ghiacciate. Graditissimo l’omaggio a fine pasto: una piccola lattina d’olio con sopra stampato il menù della serata! Complimenti a tutto lo staff sia di sala che di cucina, al carismatico maître e al talentuoso chef… ovviamente non si può non augurarvi che il vostro impegno venga riconosciuto e premiato con una stella (ma anche due!) Michelin!
