04/11/2025: The Talbauer Inn can be reached via hiking trail no. 23. The starting point is the Tiroler Kreuz (Tyrolean Cross). Alternatively, you can walk up the forest road. Both routes take about an hour and involve some steep uphill sections. Once you arrive at the Talbauer, there's a terrace with a magnificent view. We had goulash and Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), both of which were delicious.

04/10/2025: A very well-kept place: beautiful outdoor spaces and a welcoming and quaint interior. Generous portions, delicious food, and excellent prices. The staff was very friendly!! Highly recommended!

29/10/2025: We visited the restaurant 2 consecutive nights while staying at Ortisei. Ordered the Tris de bales and Maltagliati with roebuck ragout on the first night and went back to try the Spätzle, lamb chops and chestnut dessert. Foods were amazing and delicious. The restaurant setting was cozy and service was great and attentive. Thank you for the complementary hazelnut liquor too. 👍💯

27/10/2025: Unfortunately, the unfriendly service overshadowed the otherwise delicious food. We didn't feel welcome and weren't treated like guests.

01/08/2025: The restaurant is very large with several rooms. We were there for dinner, and I'd recommend making a reservation! The staff is very friendly. The menu is varied and truly excellent, with prices in line with the Val Badia norm! For risotto lovers, you must try the one with mountain pine, a delight. For beef lovers...the fillet is truly buttery! The desserts? Delicious! The portions are generous!

29/07/2025: We spent a week here cycling and hiking. The family and staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic, and the price is good. In our opinion, Ustaria Posta is the perfect base for exploring the Dolomites. Don't forget to ask Igor for some great tips; he certainly didn't disappoint!

28/11/2025: We were here on a day most kitchen staff were on holiday, and the menu was scaled down. Nonetheless the food was amazing! Definetlx worth a visit, and I hope to return one day to taste the rest of the menu

05/11/2025: I've known the Hotel Messnerwirt in Valdaora di Sopra for over a decade. I last stayed there in August 2025. The family-run atmosphere lends the hotel a welcoming and truly comfortable atmosphere. The property has recently been renovated and offers everything you need in a hotel of this caliber, including a relaxation area with a sauna and Turkish bath, sensory shower, whirlpool, and infrared cabin, as well as numerous relaxation stations. The cuisine is delightful, light, and tasty, and always well-balanced. The service is attentive, discreet, and friendly. Breakfast is also excellent, especially the "sweet" version, which I prefer. A true courtesy to guests is the snack offered every afternoon, with authentic cakes and drinks that restore you from the morning's exertions! The rooms are spacious, all with balconies and very comfortable beds. The location is truly strategic, even for those who love a cycling holiday. The garage offers a veritable mini-workshop where you can take care of your bike, whether electric or manual, including the option of a thorough wash. The stunning setting of the Pusteria Valley gives this property, located at the foot of a typical Pusteria bell tower, a magical feel. I highly recommend it for families, couples, and single travelers!

23/10/2025: we found this restaurant on the way to Sassolungo. soup recommended by the staff was the yummiest thing I had on my North Italy trip.(have to admit most north Italian food is just emmmm) having that soup on a cold day was pure bliss.

10/11/2025: Management change, unfortunately not up to the previous owners' skills and reputation. - The pizza, eaten at the restaurant, is still good for Bolzano, but the dough is less fragrant. - I don't know how they're holding up for takeout and delivery, for this reason. - The staff is untrained and inadequate, even for a similar context, where management can be family-friendly and approachable. - While dining there on a Saturday night, I witnessed several scenes of delivery riders receiving the wrong pizzas or partial orders, takeout customers waiting for 20-25 minutes, additional reservations being rejected, and customers waiting at tables. Things that didn't happen before (mistakes) or were known to be done (high and unexpected traffic). Those familiar with the ten-year management appreciated the speed and precision of service, coupled with great kindness and respect. Now, chaos and confusion.

27/02/2025: Vale la pena certamente di raggiungere Sarentino perchè Braunwirt merita una visita. Abbiamo scelto la degustazione di 4 portate a scelta dello chef già riportate nel menù, per le quali comunque viene chiesto se vi siano alimenti non graditi, così da evitare brutte sorprese. Partiti con vari pani di loro produzione, in accoppiamento a 3 tipologie di burro squisiti, a seguire le quattro portate comprendenti un tartare indimenticabile, piatti squisiti, complessi, esteticamente perfetti. Carta dei vini non particolarmente estesa, ma ricercata comprendente anche proposte, insolite, del territorio (vignaioli indipendenti). Servizio ottimo, conto nella norma considerando la qualità complessiva. Unica piccola pecca il locale, in effetti non di mio particolare gradimento per la vicinanza dei tavoli e le sedute, così da sentirsi più a Milano che non in Alto Adige, ma è un dettaglio.

23/02/2025: Che dire un esperienza davvero interessante, capitati per caso, abbiamo pranzato per la prima volta un sabato di dicembre, ci siamo tornati per due domeniche di febbraio consecutive con degli amici. Il cibo, e l'accoglienza tutto davvero ottimo. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare, a presto. Raffaella

25/10/2025: Had a local Tyrolean cuisine: Hauswurst mit Sauerkraut und Röstkartoffel (Traditional sausage with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes) which was quite nice. Paired with a house wine Pinot. Staff was super nice and accommodating.

01/10/2025: We were looking for a nice place for lunch and we were definitely not disappointed. Very welcoming staff delivering a great service. The food was really good. I took the polenta which was delicious, but it is quite big.

03/09/2025: Beautiful. Elegant, etc. But a €2.20 coffee at the counter seems excessive to me.
