17/08/2026: A beautiful cabin in the woods with a stunning view. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The only problem was the owner. He was gruff, surly, and had a seriously underdeveloped sense of politeness. I noticed a certain annoyance he openly displayed toward Italian-speaking customers. I should point out that more than half the customers were Italian. Perhaps it's time, after more than 100 years, to emerge from the trenches of the Great War.
09/08/2026: We reached this cabin in the afternoon, after an hour's walk through the woods. The desserts are excellent. I recommend the strudel (made with shortcrust pastry) and the ricotta and gianduja canederli (accompanied by vanilla ice cream and a few berries).
