20/08/2024: We booked online and when we arrived on site we only waited about ten minutes... it was very windy outside and having a little girl the owner was very kind and allowed us to wait inside and sit down... the service was very fast and impeccable... the food was a unique delicacy and absolutely adequate prices... I would return without any doubt

20/08/2024: We waited 2 hours to eat an appetizer and a first course, the staff was very unprepared from an organizational point of view, it took them an hour just to take the order, the food was also good but you can't have such a long wait to eat an appetizer (caponata and crostoni therefore already ready) and more than an hour later to eat the first one, not recommended

03/07/2024: This place was absolutely fantastic. The service was amazing and somehow the food was even better. We had lasagna, pasta with pesto, pasta olio with peperoncino, antipasto, melon and prosuttio and bruschetta. Every dish was better than the next and I could not pick a favorite. Located just off of the main road and absolutely amazing from start to finish.

05/08/2024: Being a chef of creative excellence is not for everyone. You need substance, humility, passion, dedication and love for cooking. I would like to thank Gianni and his staff for being the soul of an event that I will hardly forget. Without him everything would have had a different "taste".

31/07/2024: Wij vroegen of we hier alleen een drankje konden nuttigen. Dat kon, geen probleem. Wij 2 biertjes besteld, menukaart doorgenomen om misschien die avond terug te komen en biertjes opgedronken en de rekening gevraagd. Waar wij erg van schrokken. Biertjes €12,- en servicekosten €6,- totaal €18,- We zeiden nog dat wij dit belachelijk vonden voor 2 biertjes te brengen, maar moesten dit wel betalen. Oplichters zijn het. Uiteraard gaan wij hier nooit meer terug.

09/08/2024: Our family of 5 enjoyed this place very much. Tasty pizzas and pasta dishes. On both the nights we visited the place was full with locals and seeming Italian tourists. We were the only foreigners that I could discern. The waiting staff who could speak English were very patient with my well intended, but limited Italian. This added to our enjoyment. The drinks served in a timely fashion. The food took a while, but we were not in a rush so it didn't matter to us. The menu was on line which made perusing it a bit of a faff to be honest (there were something like 60 pages to view from an iphone) but I would visit here again without any concern.

08/08/2024: The restaurant is located in Viale Libertà where the furniture is in a modern style with gray and white colors that prevail a lot. The fish is fresh and the dishes were very good and appreciated. The service was fast and the staff very friendly and helpful. I thought the bill was suitable! I recommend it!!

20/08/2024: Rude staff and doesn't know how to handle customers. Good bread, terrible first course, I took some tuna and swordfish cavatuni, but there was no trace of fish... High prices for a trattoria, I'm sorry but the next time I come to Mondello I will go to another place.

14/08/2024: This sweet shop is among the best you'll find. They offer a wide variety of cookies, sweets, and baked goods. I sampled both Nzuddi and Piparelli, and they were delightful. While English communication might be challenging, having a phone translator always comes in handy.

04/08/2024: Vi var blevet anbefalet at prøve denne restaurant. Vi fik kalve tatar til forret. Jeg fik Tun filet tataki til hovedret og min kone fik kalve filet. Alt smagte fremragende. Restauranten ligger lidt væk fra strøget og ved en smuk park. Man kan også få pastaretter.

26/07/2024: We booked online a day in advance and the following morning we also went personally to confirm the booking. When we arrived at the restaurant right on time, however, the table was not available. We decide to leave and not wait for a place that was supposed to be reserved but, outside the restaurant, we are stopped by another waiter of the restaurant who decides to make a table available to us, which we understood was normally intended for a larger group of people. numerous. This attempt by the waiter to smooth over the situation was, however, outweighed by the rudeness of the first waiter, the one who had welcomed us as soon as we arrived, who loudly and in a very rude tone accused us of not having given him time to say that the table was available and that they were simply finishing setting it up. It's a shame, however, that this same treatment was reserved for all the customers who arrived after us with reservations, it was in fact a succession of complaints from people left standing and waiting, disconcerted by the lack of seriousness and professionalism that one would expect from a restaurant that It passes itself off as a classy place. Moving on to the culinary aspect, the dishes were mediocre: the shrimp and vegetable tempura was heavy, the linguine with mussels and clams was very salty and completely unrelated to the sauce, it looked like pasta with oil in broth, while the fish soup, still served steaming, it had thorns. We left the pasta intact and no one approached us to ask us if there was some problem with the dishes. With reference to waiting times, we waited for the first one for a good hour and 45 minutes, the people around us were snorting because they were hungry, a group of exhausted tourists, with a child of about three years old, left early that they decide to bring the dishes, all surrounded by a couple of customers next to us who will have waited for the table for 45 minutes because the diktat of the place is to make people wait indefinitely rather than granting a table of four to just two people, even if there is no longer a queue outside the venue. I conclude by saying that although we were sitting inside we suffered a lot from the heat. What to say? It was a Saturday evening of passion, inefficient organisation, not enough dishes, and this happens when the customer for certain establishments represents only a wallet from which to take as much advantage as possible with minimal effort. Evidently the difficulties of the lockdown have not raised awareness even of this range of restaurants which in the end are "touristy" in the worst possible sense.

14/07/2024: We were not able to taste their dishes because they do not accept dogs, even small ones, despite the fact that on the walls of the car park they display a variety of animals, including dogs. In this restaurant I am still at odds with our thoughts towards our four-legged friends

28/06/2024: Pizza e antipasto veramente pessimi! Scegliendo il menù fisso per un evento ci hanno portato come antipasto 4 patatine e letteralmente UNA crocchè a testa. Per non parlare della cameriera che ci ha servito, veramente maleducata e scontrosa: pretendeva che si ordinasse uno alla volta (fin qui tutto normale, nonostante la mancanza di modi e toni) finché due mie amiche, che desideravano ordinare la stessa pizza, invece di dire a turno due pizze uguali, una delle due ha semplicemente ordinato anche per l’altra dicendo “per noi 2 di queste” e lei ha così cominciato a urlare lasciandoci increduli, trattandoci come bimbi all’asilo ai quali dare regole e urlare in faccia “non deviii ordinare anche per gli altriii, silenzio silenzio, devi dirmi solo la tua pizza!!”, poi abbiamo chiesto delle posate in più e la sua reazione è stata nuovamente eccessiva, urlando: “non dovete rivolgermi parola quando digito l’ordine nel tablet”. Ma concludendo in bellezza, invece di chiederle il conto al tavolo per paura di ricevere altre urla in faccia, ci siamo diretti alla cassa per pagare, lei ci ha rincorso dicendoci in faccia che eravamo “dei vastasi maleducati” perché ci eravamo alzati e diretti alla cassa senza comunicarglielo (ma che vuol dire, manco stessimo scappando senza pagare)!!

25/08/2024: I read with deep amazement some negative reviews. I had dinner last night and I think there are very few places with such attention to detail. Sublime quality both in terms of fresh fish and meat, excellent pizza, excellent service, not to mention the ownership that makes the difference. I would like to underline that the prices are below average as I had a terrible experience in another place paying 40.00 for a white and black. I say with extreme frankness that When I want quality and above all hospitality I believe Torre Alta is it the best choice.
