08/05/2025: Fresh, high-quality, unique food It was fun because each dish was creative and well-made, and the dining space had a nice view of Lake Garda. The surrounding hotels have nice views, so I recommend staying for a day and fully enjoying lido84 food and the surroundings.

05/05/2025: Restaurante elegante, acogedor, con buen espacio entre mesas, manteles y buenas copas. Como tiene de ser. Hay la opcion de escoger entre dos menus, uno de 65 euros, con dos platos de la carta y el otro de 90 euros con tres platos. Nosotros escogimos el de dos, porque para cenar nos parecio suficiente, ademas con los aperitivos esta muy bien. Lo que destacaria es la codorniz, que estaba en su punto exacto de coccion y muy sabrosa. Excelente servicio.

Excellent menu with both meat and fish dishes that satisfy every palate and with very particular combinations that intrigue in the choice. The service was excellent and allowed us to feel "pampered". Very intimate and reserved environment that makes this restaurant ideal for a couple's dinner. I highly recommend going.

24/04/2025: Despite the delay, it was right to talk about the experience I had in this restaurant, a discovery that deserves to be shared. The location, although not directly overlooking the lake, manages to win you over thanks to a refined and welcoming interior design, capable of creating a warm and refined atmosphere, just like the dining room staff, from the waiters to the manager, capable of making the guest feel at ease from the first moment. The visit - although unique so far - left an indelible mark, so much so that a future second time is certain. The dishes stand out for their quality and presentation, but what truly surprised us was the original welcome, capable of striking deeply with its uniqueness and attention. Applause also goes to the sommelier, who was able to accompany the tasting with wine proposals in perfect harmony with the menu, completing a high-quality gastronomic experience.

19/05/2025: El lugar es bastante caro, pero definitivamente está pagando por la vista y no la comida. Algunos “alimentos seguros” como la pasta estaban bien, pero la comida en general era bastante desagradable. El servicio era dulce y agradable, pero lamentablemente no disfrutamos de las comidas. Algunos de nosotros utillamos los menús con el pescado, estos no fueron de nuestro agrado. Definitivamente no sabía fresco en absoluto y todos tenían la misma consistencia tibia. Sin embargo, tienen grandes bebidas, etc., por lo que el lugar sería perfecto para un par de bebidas y una cesta de pan.

16/05/2025: Premetto che sono un'organizzatrice di eventi. Ho organizzato un welcome dinner presso Sottovento. Ignazio e Sergio si sono mostrati molto competenti e professionali. Mi hanno liberato tutto il loro locale così da permettermi di personalizzarlo con i nostri arredi . Sembra una cosa scontata, ma non lo è. A seguire si sono occupati in maniera attenta e precisa di tutto il servizio food&beverage, con grande attenzione e gentilezza facendo si che i miei clienti si siano sentiti subito ben accolti. A fine serata gli ospiti mi hanno fatto molti complimenti, che non posso che a mia volta "girare" a tutto lo staff di Sottovento Lo suggerisco per ogni evento privato e immagino anche per una bella cena o anche solo per godersi uno squisito cocktail vista lago. 01/05/2025: Excellent restaurant from every point of view: Superb terrace sheltered from the crowds of Varenna, quality traditional cuisine and top-notch service: smiling and friendly waiters who, a nice little extra, bring you a small stool to place your lady's bag so that it doesn't drag on the ground. In short, an ideal place for lunch in Varenna!!!

29/04/2025: We wanted to escape all the tourist-crowded restaurants and we definitely weren't disappointed! Ignore the other restaurants and don't let the view of the lake blind you! We have rarely eaten so cheaply and so well. Had 2 starters, 2 main courses as well as wine and water for just €120 including Coperto… Super attentive service, information was given in English, as I don't speak Italian myself, so I was still able to understand everything. The food a 10/10! The beef tartare and the stuffed squid as a starter, a taste explosion, fresh truffle butter and perfectly coordinated components🫶🏽 We would like to give many more stars... We would come back at any time!

10/05/2025: My mother and I were warmly welcomed, we had prosecco and pizza di Mare, the service was quick. The pizza was absolutely delicious, there was a lot of seafood, shrimp, shrimp, octopus, calamari, mussels and fish. They cleverly put the pizza on two plates without us having to ask :) I would definitely come back.

15/05/2025: Wauwww! I've been in Italy for two weeks, and have eaten so many pizzas in my life. But finally I found my favorite place. Pizza is delicious, the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommended! If only I could bring this atmosphere and experience back to the Netherlands with me 😜
