We were on a school trip and stopped at this bar to get a takeout pizza (€3.50) for a minor with a disability (we were accompanied by myself, the therapist, and the support teacher).
Unheard of Rudeness at the Checkout
From the moment the order was made, the staff demonstrated unacceptable arrogance and condescension. When we invited the boy to thank the teacher who had offered the pizza, the bartender intervened rudely and inappropriately, demanding that the thanks be addressed to him.
This attitude, which completely disregarded the boy's disability and his relationship dynamics, was perceived as a true act of verbal bullying and abuse. A professional in a public place should have much higher standards of politeness and sensitivity.
Unjustified and Discriminatory Request for Table Service:
After picking up the pizza at the counter (therefore, take-out), the disabled boy temporarily sat down at a table to eat it, while the teacher and I remained standing waiting for him, as is customary at a fast-food take-out service.
Immediately, a waiter approached, demanding payment for the €5.00 table service (well above the cost of the pizza itself!). We pointed out that:
The drink was a take-out order, picked up at the counter.
Table service had not been requested or used (we were standing).
It was a disabled boy who simply needed to lean on something for a moment.
Faced with their obstinacy and the obvious lack of humanity and flexibility in such a delicate situation, we preferred to get up and leave immediately.
Conclusion:
This establishment not only demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and business savvy, but above all, a gross and unacceptable insensitivity toward a person with a disability. Arrogance and rudeness were the hallmarks of the entire experience, from the cashier to the table. I strongly advise against this bar to anyone, especially anyone needing even a modicum of courtesy and understanding.

11/04/2025: Terrible welcome! Only one waiter is worth saving. And now that they've redone the place, they've also changed the prices. First, aperitifs cost €10 with a drink, which is enough food. Now, €13 if you're not sitting at a table and they give you a drink, two chips, two olives, and some peanuts.
Obviously, I'll never go back. Very disappointed.

20/11/2025: The only thing good is the beer, the atmosphere is poor, the pizza is very weak, unbelievable for Italy, they don't give you a receipt, just a simple card with the price, avoid this place, and it's very expensive.
10/11/2025: A pizzeria with very poor presentation and low-quality food, with exorbitant prices: €6 for a beer, €5 for an arancini, etc. However, the two waiters were very attentive. Not recommended at all; there are much better places nearby.

11/05/2025: Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.

07/08/2025: Pranzo pre estivo dello studio, prenotato per le ore 13.
chiediamo due taglieri misti formaggio e salumi, ma senza marmellata e giardiniera come indicato sul menù alla carta. Ci arrivano con marmellata e giardiniera entrambi, il cameriere sente il mio commento e viene a toglierle e ci portano a parte un piattino con due ricottine, una mozzarellina, patate lesse e cotto. Fino a qua ci siamo, anche se alcuni salumi erano troppo salati e le mozzarelline poco saporite.
Ordiniamo alla carta dando anche un occhio ai piatti del giorno che ci vengono proposti.
Ordine alla carta: due paccheri con crema di melanzana, datterino giallo, pane croccante e menta e tre fusilloni di gragnano IGP alla trapanese con stracciatella di burrata del loro caseificio. Arrivano tre fusilloni con sugo di carne e due paccheri al pomodoro e basilico (cioè i piatti del giorno). Lo segnalo al cameriere che si scusa e dice "c'è stato un errore in cucina".
Ci presentano su un piatto i dolci del giorno dicendo che uno è finito (toglierlo dal piatto no?). Ordiniamo un tiramisù e una mousse (sottolineo "Mousse") al pistacchio.
Arriva il tiramisù (giusto) e una mezza cupola di cemento verdina dove la collega tenta di infilare forzatamente con due mani, perché era durissima, la forchetta. Ci riesce, ma non esce più la forchetta. Chiamo il cameriere e chiediamo un coltello e se per caso è stata tirata fuori dal freezer perché una "mousse" (lo dice la parola) dovrebbe essere morbida, al cucchiaio.
Il cameriere risponde che viene dal frigo/freezer, poi dubbioso si allontana e chiede, ritorna e dice "c'è stato un errore" viene dal freezer, ma se vogliamo la sostituiscono con una da frigo, ma ormai la mia collega ha rinunciato a mangiarla.
Ci propongono i caffè ma, onde evitare altri "errori" rinunciamo.
Mai più grazie.
02/08/2025: Arrivati alle 19:30 io mio marito insieme a nostro figlio di 5 mesi, andati via alle 21 senza aver cenato. Un’ora e mezza di attesa andati via senza cena mentre tutti gli altri tavoli mangiavano nonostante varie sollecitazioni .
Nonostante ciò ci hanno fatto pagare le due bottiglie d’acqua e calice di vino .
Molto poco consigliato solo per la correttezza dimostrata.

20/07/2025: We stayed at the hotel for three nights and initially had high expectations for the restaurant. The menu displayed at reception looked like it had a good variety and appealing dishes, so we decided to dine there one evening.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered cannelloni and sausage with potatoes, but neither dish looked particularly appetizing. Even worse, the food was cold. I politely pointed out to the staff that my dish was cold, and although they took it back, it came back only slightly warmer—but still not properly reheated. Honestly, it tasted like a microwaved meal, both in quality and presentation. I ended up eating it only because I was hungry.
I later expressed my disappointment again, but the response I received was simply, "You should have told me," despite having told them just minutes earlier. No apology, nor any real interest in making amends.
It's a shame, because the overall appearance of the hotel is good, and I had a pleasant stay. With some improvements in the kitchen and more careful communication from the staff, the restaurant could really live up to the expectations created by the menu.

26/04/2025: La mejor comida en Palermo. Porción generosa, muy fresca, comida casera. Triste que encontramos en nuestra última noche. Propietario muy acogedor.
21/04/2025: È stato il ristorante di riferimento durante la nostra vacanza. Abbiamo più volte scelto di pranzare/cenare, non solo per la qualità e bontà del cibo, ma anche per la cordialità e disponibilità del Sig. Mimmo e dei suoi familiari.
Abbiamo apprezzato le tagliatelle allo scrigno, i secondi a base di pesce e gli antipasti tipici siciliani.
Porzioni abbondanti e gustose. Torneremo sicuramente
