Agriturismo Il Carro Menu Agriturismo Il Carro was founded in 2004, in the hills of Loreto Aprutino. After a childhood spent in the kitchen, Gianfranco and Patrizia decided to breathe new life into the old family home, where Gianfranco grew up and lived throughout his youth. The agriturismo is completely immersed in greenery, far from traffic, and offers its guests traditional Abruzzo cuisine, with dishes that reflect time-honored traditions. The raw materials used in their dishes are the fruit of hard work in the countryside, sourced from their family farm and small local businesses.

15/12/2025: In a very basic inn on the outskirts of a remote village in the park, you can't pay €3 for a cover charge and leave €32 for two plates of pasta. You need to reconsider your prices because they're truly outrageous.

11/12/2025: A very welcoming, warm, and quaint atmosphere, where you can enjoy local products and make the most of the snow by renting sleds or other equipment to work off lunch (hahahaha). Excellent food, both starters and main courses, fast service, and very friendly staff.

20/12/2025: Delicious pizza. One of the best I've ever eaten. The meat was good, as was the house wine. Great service, always available and friendly. The place was a little warm, but acceptable. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

04/12/2025: Canned mushrooms, canned olives,no burrata...the arrosticini was good. Where. Is the fresh ingredients??? It is the heart of Italian food.

28/11/2025: We found everything excellent, from the various types of arrosticini to the pizza. They also have a nice selection of wines. We'll definitely be back.

21/11/2025: Family dinner on Saturday night. The pizza arrived after two hours! How is it possible there's only one pizza chef on a Saturday night?! The appetizers and arrosticini were good, but the gourmet pizza was barely edible, at least the Tricolore pizza we ordered. We won't be back.

06/12/2025: Leaving Campo di Giove on my way to Pescara, I stumbled upon this little restaurant almost by accident. I asked if they had room, and they kindly seated me. It was truly a great discovery. The place is clean, simple, and quaint. The food is delicious, especially the handmade pasta dishes, followed by the excellent quality of the meat. The value for money is truly exceptional. Keep up the good work.
