31/01/2026: Arrived at 9 PM, and after 2 hours we're still here waiting!!!!! Scandalous. I don't recommend coming here unless you enjoy waiting hours for food!!!!!

17/08/2025: If you want to wait for the sunset with a drink in hand, good company, and background music without expecting too much, you're in the right place! L'Ananasso is a mini cocktail and drinks corner located in a parking lot overlooking the Ionian Sea, equipped with plastic tables and chairs, for those with modest expectations. The staff were friendly and quick; we enjoyed the cocktails, which were well-proportioned; there's no table service. If I could offer a small serving of snacks or nuts with your drink!

27/08/2025: Everything was excellent: the welcome, the food, the atmosphere, and the prices were fair considering you're dining with a sea view. For one person, I paid about 20-25 euros for water, a mixed salad, and mixed fried fish.

28/12/2025: Excellent food, cozy and quiet location, but the wait times are truly absurd. Customers who arrived after our table ate first, even ending with dessert. More than a half-hour wait for a couple of pizzas! Only one waiter in the dining room, one. Who knows?

19/02/2026: We went to this place after dinner to celebrate and only asked for something to snack on with our drinks. The receipt, in fact, states "aperitivo tanto per..." (just for..."), so we were served taralli and pretzels, which we thought was absolutely correct. The problem is that the waiter added three portions of fries and one arancini each to our order, without us asking for them. When the fries arrived, I immediately went to tell him not to bring anything else, because we were there for an after-dinner drink, NOT FOR DINNER, but I was told that the arancini would arrive anyway because they were already cooking. I stated that we didn't want them, but was told they couldn't remove them from the order. When paying, the receipt clearly stated "3 arancini" and "3 fries," dishes we never ordered! When I explained the situation, I was told that this is what "tasting" means to them and that perhaps the waiter should have mentioned it earlier. I find this behavior unfair and lacking transparency: it's unacceptable to be charged for dishes you didn't request or agree to. A negative experience that ruined what was supposed to be a festive evening.

05/10/2025: The time you're wasting reading these reviews would be smart to use to rush out and try the pizza they make in this bakery. But, if you really want a review, here's the answer: AMAZING! Better than most, if not all, pizzerias in Lanciano, but enough now, otherwise I'll always find a line.

05/03/2026: I was at this restaurant on a Sunday for lunch. We arrived to eat with the second sitting at 2:30 pm. Total chaos. People were standing and waiting to be seated or to pay. After about 30 minutes, we managed to sit down. The lady spread the tablecloth on the table and we sat down. We waited. After a while, we managed to order and so far, everything was fine. The food arrived very quickly, except that there were no cutlery, glasses, or napkins on the table, so we waited again to ask for cutlery. The table was so full of food that we didn't know where to put it and more courses kept arriving, but I don't blame the waiters for this because unfortunately the place was packed. After the appetizers were finished, the first course arrived and everything was good except the spaghetti with clams which tasted like nothing but that's okay, it can happen. When the second course arrived (a baked sea bream), the guy put the plate down and left us without plates and cutlery (again). After finishing the second course, we had a coffee and asked for the bill (€273 for 4 people), which is understandable considering we're talking about fish. All in all, I want to say that the food is somewhere between good and fair, the service is TERRIBLE but, again, I don't partly blame the staff because, apart from the slow service and the lack of attention, they were very kind, but I would like to appeal to the owner to review the organization for a moment. Mostly, when I went to pay at the cashier, the lady didn't even ask how it went because she clearly doesn't care. At least I expected an apology. I expected better given the reputation it has, given my experience I will definitely not go back there nor will I recommend it.

Exceptional food, combining quality and cuisine; friendly, competent, and cheerful staff; elegant yet welcoming atmosphere... what more could you ask for?
