16/03/2026: My experience here with my partner was absolutely outstanding this was our first trip to Venice we came to Approdo on our first night and decided to come back every single day after that for food not only was the pizza the best pizza we’ve ever had, the pasta and the tiramisu was amazing as well, the service was incredible Fabio treated us so well throughout our whole stay he knew what he was doing in terms of recommending food and his customer service was the best we’ve seen in a while

And Lavinia is lovely and booked us into the best seat in the restaurant and then the Chef blew our minds with their food, it was the best Brushetta, steak and lasagne we have ever had! Highly recommend the hotel and restaurant, and we'd like to thank the staff for their lovely friendly welcome and for looking after us xx

23/01/2026: The best cocktail bar in Venice. The extensive menu, which changes seasonally, is astonishingly imaginative and inventive. Salvatore, Linda, and Ale are a formidable team! Always friendly and helpful, ready to recommend the perfect cocktail, even for those who are undecided like me!

16/01/2026: Amazing little cocktail bar! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed with great music at the perfect volume. Easy to talk, fun tables, great cocktail presentation (not to mention very tasty and well-balanced). Will return our next time in Venice!

08/02/2026: The airport is a gem from the glory days of aeronautics, boasting a 100-year history. The first aircraft took off here in 1915. The current exhibition is housed in a bunker in front of the actual airport, beautifully evoking the 1960s and 70s when flying was still something special. There's also a pleasant restaurant overlooking the runway. It's also a good choice in summer, as the exhibition is located in a basement.

30/01/2026: I came here with high expectations, made a reservation in advance, and specifically chose Christmas Eve dinner, the earliest being 7 PM. Unfortunately, it was windy and rainy that day 😂 (or perhaps the terrace was closed), so I couldn't visit or dine there. The atmosphere was steeped in history: the restaurant's interior retained a lot of Venetian-style decor, with mahogany furniture, exquisite tapestries, and sparkling crystal chandeliers, as if the air was filled with the lingering charm of 19th-century aristocratic social life. It had a strong retro feel reminiscent of Venice's Golden Age. The service was professional and top-notch, with a touch of Italian theatricality, which was quite distinctive. As for the food, it was a standard Michelin-starred meal. The most outstanding dish was the fish in the main course, which truly showcased their skill in handling fresh seafood. The truffle risotto, while generously filled with truffles, lacked the unique flavor of truffles. However, the final panettone was rather ordinary; this finishing touch to the festive atmosphere was underwhelming, probably a mass-produced version from a large company. Top-notch atmosphere and service! Of course, the bill was also top-notch 😂 It's a matter of opinion. The food was a bit formulaic and lacked something, making it less cost-effective. (Personally, I value the core functionality of a restaurant more.) But if you're going for the historical background and scenery, it's worth it.

05/04/2026: Excellent vegetarian Easter menu! Refined dishes for vegetarians too, all delicious! Menu: Aperitif pizza with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and Sicilian oregano. Potato tart with zola chips, fennel oil. Ricotta and spinach tortello, butter, sage, and tomato powder. Fake charcoal gnocchi with asparagus and burrata cheese. Beetroot burger with mixed salad and orange vegan mayo. Deconstructed strawberry tiramisu.

05/04/2026: The people were so unfriendly since the moment we got in the restaurant. My Grandma asked for the housevine but he basicly ignored it. Then we wanted to order cabonara and they told us that they had no pork and eggs left. They talked about us silently and asked us if we cant speak italian, even though we can. We had enough and walked out of the place. I would recommend this restaurant !!!

20/12/2025: I had dinner with my boyfriend at L’Angoetto de Barby and it was truly a wonderful discovery. The restaurant is small but very well-kept, with an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. It's run by a very kind, friendly, and helpful young man and woman who make you feel at ease right away. Due to its small size, I highly recommend booking in advance. We started with a mixed raw fish appetizer of the day (belly, sea bass, and swordfish), very fresh and of excellent quality. For main courses, we chose a slice of tuna belly (not on the menu) and amberjack with escarole. To accompany the belly, we also ordered sweet potato with yogurt sauce, a perfect and very balanced side dish. For wine, we relied on the owner's recommendation: a very interesting list, with many organic and unique wines. A good choice, much appreciated by both. Total cost €140 including wine, absolutely in line with the quality offered. Service, food, and bill were top notch. We'll definitely be back. 🍷🐟
