31/05/2025: Grandes tapas italianas, probé múltiples opciones del bar y no me decepcionó, sería genial tener más opciones de cerveza para los días cálidos, pero entiendo que esto es muy probablemente un bar de vinos. Lo mejor es llegar temprano, ya que el lugar puede estar lleno de gente muy rápido.

28/05/2025: We were there 3 weeks ago and it was a complete disaster. There were 6 of us, 3 couples, and the waitress was completely overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was still empty. She didn't understand that we needed three bills if possible, nor did she ask what we wanted. We waited forever for our drinks, and then there were constant phone calls before the waitress came back to our table. We decided not to eat and paid for the drinks, but the waitress cheekily told us we had to pay the cover charge as well, since we were sitting at the table. After asking for the manager, she suddenly only charged us for the drinks. We'll never see this place again. We were regulars with Roberto himself when he was still in the restaurant. Unfortunately, different owners and different customs.

11/05/2025: Nice hotel, however a warning for potential guests. Outside of the grand suites, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. Our room was below the grand suite level and we could hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms. Our room was carpeted, however the suite room much not be because we could hear every footstep and every time a chair moved. Also the room temperatures are very hard to control. Our room was unbearably hot. It’s hard to sleep with the windows open because the bugs. So its a balance of being hot or having bugs. I’m sure there are some room that are worth it, but I would suggest doing your research before booking here. We loved the location, just wish we had a better room experience.

06/05/2025: Venice was our second stop in Italy, and we couldn’t have been happier with this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and spread across two levels, with a large, modern bathroom that made our stay extra comfortable. The location was also fantastic—everything we needed was close by. One of the highlights was discovering two incredible cicchetti spots just steps from the hotel. We tried a few places throughout Venice, but the ones next door had the best flavors and the most reasonable drink prices. While the breakfast didn’t include hot items like eggs, everything offered was fresh and delicious—especially the croissants and baked goods. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Venice!

15/05/2025: In questo caso il detto andrebbe cambiato in "nel locale piccolo c'è il cibo buono". Di posti dove mangiare ormai se ne trovano in tutti gli angoli, ma i locali dove si mangia bene si contano ancora sulle dita di una mano. El Refolo di merita sicuramente di occupare una di quelle dita. Posticino piccolo, grazioso e senza tante pretese di voler apparire, ma con tutto quello che serve per passare qualche momento in totale relax e anche molto comodi visto che si trova su una bella via ampia (cosa rara a Venezia). La cura e l'attenzione per il cibo, per il vino e per i clienti si fa davvero notare. Qualche esempio... i cicchetti con il baccalà mantecato (davvero top) vengono preparati al momento. Non sono esposti come in tanti altri locali ma viene prima scaldato il pane e poi messo sopra il baccalà fresco. Abbiamo chiesto un tipo di vino bianco che avevano finito, ce ne è stato fatto assaggiare un altro altrettanto buono e poi ci è stato riempito nuovamente il bicchiere (e una discreta quantità, non come certi "pitocchi" che contano le gocce che ti versano). Queste sono le qualità che per noi fanno davvero la differenza, quelle piccole attenzioni che esprimono la passione e l'amore per il proprio lavoro e per i propri clienti. Davvero un piacevole e inaspettato soffio di vento, degno del suo nome. Complimenti e continuate così. Se rivedemo presto!

28/04/2025: We tried the cicchetti for the first time and they were delicious, and the recommendations from staff were great.

03/04/2025: This little shop is located near the Rialto bridge and offers typical cod-based products and more. We stopped for some cicchetti and tried cod meatballs, creamed cod, Vicenza-style cod and sardines in saor and we liked everything. There is no place to sit, just a small bench to lean on outside. For 3 glasses of wine and 6 cicchetti we spent €24.

15/05/2025: ✨Delicious. Peaceful. Authentic. Soothing.✨ We were welcomed with great kindness. Anastasia understood our needs and questions perfectly. I noticed she was lovely with every customer. We are a French couple who love traditional meals and avoid touristy places, this restaurant was everything we love!

15/05/2025: even if it is located on the tourist route to reach Piazza San Marco on foot from the station, it pleasantly surprised me... you eat fish, everything is good quality with an adequate service. The waitresses? beautiful and friendly. I forgot... the price? nothing to complain about. I thought it was higher

21/05/2025: The worst service i've seen in m'y life. This place is far from the "cozy and inviting expérience" they're claiming for. The staff is contemptuous, and they all seems like you're pissing them off. The place includes about ten tables that are way to close to each other due to the lack of space. The food is no better by any means. I ate an arrotolata that was still completelly cold on the inside after the heating. A women next to me ordered a salad, and when she asked for balsamic vinegar, the waiter said that she couldn't have some because they're running out of it before going out to buy some in another shop. Our glass were disgustingly dirty, as the bathroom too. Please don't make the same mistake as me and don't eat at the Redentore.
