15/06/2025: I was recently at the Lido in Venice and ordered a Hugo. Nothing extraordinary, in fact, rather average… but the surprise came with the bill: 8 euros for a simple aperitif! I understand that we are in a tourist area, but this is an out of scale price, especially considering that the cocktail was nothing special – neither in the presentation, nor in the taste. Unfortunately, this type of unjustified price increases ruin the experience and give the impression that visitors are being taken advantage of. A minimum balance between quality and price would be the bare minimum. I will not be happy to return, and I certainly will not recommend it to those looking for an aperitif with a good quality/price ratio.

05/08/2025: We stopped here for lunch, sitting at an outside table - our server could not have been more attentive or helpful with explaining the menu as well as suggesting wine pairings. Our food was served with minimal waiting time and the freshest of sea food accompanied with perfectly cooked pasta followed by a sublime tiramisu. Throughout our server was extremely attentive discreetly checking in with us. Our food and wine were amazing. We would really like to thank the young woman who looked after us and made our meal here so special and a highlight of our trip to Venice. Grazie Mille. 🙏

28/07/2025: For 3 days before dinner, I went here for drinks and cicchetti. The experienced servers are amazing at their job. On my last night, I also went for dinner, and the food was very good. The server immediately suggested good wine pairing options. This is the epitome of good service. If I were to nitpick, I would say that value for money can be improved. But you know, Venice is really expensive. Give yourself a treat!

21/08/2025: Very good olive focaccia! Soft, fresh bread and a warm welcome! And the price is very affordable (€3.50 for a generous focaccia!) I highly recommend it for a snack :)

18/07/2025: We found this bar on TikTok and decided to check it out for ourselves. It's a small, unassuming place that surpasses many restaurants that consider themselves renowned. The sandwiches are delicious, and the coffee is hard to find anywhere else. The service is fantastic! We recommend everyone go and try it. The prices are very reasonable!

07/09/2025: I ordered a pizza there. I was asked if I wanted a crispy pizza. I said yes. What I got was a sesame seed roll, so to speak. I've never seen anything like that in Italy. Sesame seeds in the pizza dough. And the pizza wasn't crispy either. The mushrooms on the pizza were from a can and soggy. That's a disgrace for Italian pizza.

25/05/2025: Coming back from Bosnia by motorbike, the technical night stop in Ceggia makes us stumble upon this Steakhouse, brewery, pizzeria. Being the first evening in Italy after 9 in the Balkans, the choice was Italianly obligatory: pizza! Excellent ingredients, modern dough, but above all cooked to perfection, a rare characteristic among those who propose to offer a contemporary. For the rest, a very well-kept place, an extensive menu and pleasantly frequented by young people, which doesn't hurt. One piece of advice: a slightly lower volume of the music during dinner, perhaps it would favor conversation, but perhaps it's just me who's getting old... Well done!

01/09/2025: I went to Pasticceria Dal Mas every morning during our trip, their croissants are absolutely delicious! The apricot was my favorite, while the kids loved the pistachio and chocolate. The service was always friendly and fast, and everything we tried was so good. The location is perfect, right by the Grand Canal and the train station. We’re still dreaming about these croissants now that we’re home.

01/09/2025: I've stopped at this pastry shop three times because I found the pastries delicious and the coffee excellent. After my last breakfast, which I had on-site, I ordered a tray of pastries to go, and when it came time to pay, I was asked if I wanted a bag as well. I agreed, thinking it would cost something, but not realizing that the price for a regular plastic bag would be a whopping €3.50! A bit excessive in my opinion, and I think it should have been pointed out earlier.

30/08/2025: Super delicious pizza, good prices, and very friendly service. The drinks are really cold and the beer is freshly tapped! The atmosphere is just like a typical snack bar.

06/09/2025: Driven by the desire to eat out, I decided to try this restaurant recommended by some friends. The welcome was excellent, and they asked us if we preferred to eat inside the private courtyard or overlooking the city's typical alleys. After we sat down in the internal garden, the head waiter listed the off-menu items, and given our hesitation, we trusted the local know-how. The dinner proved excellent, featuring fish and reinterpretations of classic Venetian dishes. I must say it was a succession of flavors I hadn't tasted in Venice in a long time. Without further ado, the food was excellent, the wine paired perfectly, and the staff were friendly. Da Veneziano will remain a point of reference in the city. Thank you for the evening.

A place of serenity and tranquility where the cuisine is absolutely surprising and unexpected. A blend of flavors and cuisines combined with absolute mastery and awareness. The owners are welcoming and happy to guide you through a variety of cuisines, from Sicily to Venice with Asian influences. Recommended, recommended, recommended!
