08/06/2025: Great place and wonderful staff, amazing food

06/06/2025: We were there for lunch today, June 6th. Based on the good Google reviews, we went here because we just wanted a small snack and something to drink. Here's our experience. Positive -) Ambience -) Fast service Negative -) Service staff speak neither German nor English -) Wrap (gluten-free + €2, completely covered in oil...) -) My girlfriend's iced coffee wasn't iced coffee. Absolutely disgraceful. I've never seen anything like it. -) You have to go to the counter to pay, the waiter doesn't take the money, and we didn't get a bill either. This place is an absolute disaster. Stay away!

11/05/2025: At the top of Sant Erasmo pizza. A bucolic setting to enjoy it a few minutes by vaporetto from Venice.

03/05/2025: Excellent and digestible pizza. Friendly staff (the owner even gave us a ride to the ferry stop!). Present both in S. Erasmo and Vignole with another van.

11/02/2025: Unexpectedly good focaccia-pizza,one with mushrooms other with olives and plum tomatoes,everything was spot on,dough was perfect ,well baked and crunchy,overall both focaccias surprisignly delicious,and it was the only place nearby open in the morning.

03/06/2025: We were blown away by how great the meal was at Hostaria Bacanera. Every dish was excellent and the service was very attentive. They accommodated our children and gave us all a great experience. Although the prices matched a more upscale meal we feel we got our moneys worth.

01/06/2025: Disappointing visit to Bacanera – unfortunately, not what it used to be We visited Bacanera today – a restaurant that has always delighted us on previous trips to Venice. This made our anticipation for today's visit all the greater. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The food was okay, but unfortunately nothing more than that, and the price was definitely far too high for what was offered. It lacked the refinement and that special something we knew from previous visits. The culinary spark that once delighted us simply didn't want to ignite this time. The service was particularly disappointing. While we had always been served warmly and attentively, this time the waiter seemed listless and unengaged. My wife studied Italian, lived in Italy, and speaks the language very well. Unfortunately, the waiter consistently ignored this – despite her request that he speak Italian, he consistently communicated with us in English. We found this very inattentive and unprofessional. One positive exception was the very friendly and extremely professional waitress, who made a noticeable effort and added a little extra value to the experience. Overall, it was a disappointing impression – especially compared to our previous, consistently positive experiences at Bacanera. It's a real shame.

01/06/2025: A characteristic location, a unique place where you can eat inside small furnaces. Excellent and well-prepared food, really light pizza with a thick edge Neapolitan style. Kind and fast staff always attentive to the customer. The combination of Quality and price make it a place to visit often.

09/06/2025: I found this restaurant by chance online and called to ask if take-out was possible and even though it wasn't, they made an exception. They were super friendly and the mixed fry was more than excellent and accompanied us on our way home from Jesolo. I recommend it!!

03/06/2025: Every time I come to Chioggia I can't miss stopping to eat in this lovely little place, obviously I always book, and obviously I take raw fish and not only, the owner and all the staff are fabulous, I'll start by saying that there were 4 of us with two dogs, so super Petfriend ❤️❤️❤️.... 03/05/2025: Change places! Owner who shouts from outside the table to inside for orders what has been ordered, worse than a market, staff who don't have a guideline on how to work, very slow and very expensive! Do yourself a favor and change places, go to Bella Venezia which is half the price. Or at the same prices go to Gato. I have had my house in Chioggia for years and I wanted to try something new but was very disappointed by this place. A first 20 euros without art or part, dissatisfied in the evening I found it at Bella Venezia for 13 euros and very good. 100 euros and counting for two at lunch for two starters and two first courses, which really weren't good. At dinner I spent half of it eating better. The mussel pepper sauce is just water and whole peeled tomatoes placed on the plate. The price must match the quality and service, and this place is not worth it.

30/05/2025: Perfect spot tucked away in an alley near the canal and Rialto bridge. This was our go-to coffee spot every morning - the cappuccinos hit along with the sweet and savory pastries. We really loved the spinach and cheese pastry and the prosciutto and cheese pastry! Great little spot.

28/05/2025: I have been to this place several times with friends and have never been disappointed. The quality of the pizza is unquestionable and they accompany it with a unique selection of beer in addition to their delicious desserts. The atmosphere and service are the icing on the cake.

25/05/2025: Tornata dopo qualche anno, non è stata una bella esperienza. La pizza buona per gli ingredienti, ma un po' bruciacchiata. Il problema non è la pizza, ma il locale, in cui sono stati stipati tavoli oltre misura, per muoverti devi coordinarti con chi hai a fianco o dietro. Inaccettabile. Il locale sovraffollato diventa caldo e rumorosissimo. Una richiesta banale sul vino, non esaurita. Bicchieri per l'acqua contati. Personale sorridente e cortese, un plauso perché lavorare in quella situazione non è semplice. Noto che nonostante le lamentele sul sovraffollamento risalgano nel tempo, il gestore nulla ha fatto per rimediare.

15/06/2025: Excellent non-touristy restaurant with great food, drinks and best of all a friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our lunch here, which was very good value for money and I would highly recommend this restaurant for those who want to enjoy authentic Venezian cuisine at very reasonable prices. I shall definitely return to this restaurant when I am next in Venice. Grazzie mille to all the staff!

13/06/2025: This spot was recommended to us. The food was good and the venue was very nice. The service was very so so. Kind of rude to be honest. It turned what would have been a very nice evening to a pretty average one.
