16/05/2025: I went here while traveling alone and looking for a place to eat and drink. I ordered a sandwich and fries set and two beers. It was delicious. If I had stayed another day, I would have gone again. They even gave me chocolate on the way out after paying.

29/05/2025: The Antica Trattoria Bertolini in Padua enjoys a pleasant and well-kept location: a clean environment, well-arranged tables and an atmosphere that promises a peaceful lunch break. Too bad that the overall experience is irremediably ruined by the attitude of the staff that to call rude is an understatement. Already at the time of ordering, the incomprehensible presence of a trolley with cooked and raw vegetables in the room leaves room for doubt: will they be available or are they there for show? When I asked for a simple mixed salad - a more than reasonable request for a lunch break - the waiter's reaction was that of someone who has just received a personal insult. Grumbling, impatient looks and the clarification, almost with contempt, that "we don't put anything like tuna or other things in it". Don't worry, we won't even ask you to dress it with edible gold. But the real cult moment took place at the cash register: asking for a separate bill unleashed a management apocalypse. “This is how you’re going to close me down, I’ve never seen anything like this,” we were told in an accusatory tone. I’ve never seen such a disproportionate reaction, one might say. 15 euros for a bowl of vegetables, water and coffee. Not even in the most pretentious bistro in the centre of Milan, where at least they serve you vegetables with a smile and a protein of your choice. A real wasted opportunity: it wouldn’t take much to make the service up to the context, but evidently kindness isn’t on the menu. Too bad, because with a different welcome we would have returned. Instead… yes, we will definitely return (believe it), and it will be my personal commitment to warmly recommend it to friends and family… to avoid it. 🤣

06/07/2025: First time in this restaurant, after various disappointments in other places in the area with horse meat menus we decided to change and try this place: company of 12 people, I'll start by saying that we enjoy going to various places, we love to eat well. Let's get to the menu, tasty appetizer, first course with two gnocchi and bigoli up to par, tasty and well served, let's move on to the second course and here it pains us to move on to the off-key notes, then, tasty side dishes, meat, disappointment to the cube, very hard meat, inedible .... a place that offers you horse meat as a menu I expect succulent and tender meat, total disappointment .... price 40 euros

01/08/2025: Unfortunately, I have to revise my review from 8 years ago... It's gone from a quiet and friendly place to a trendy place, packed with people and too many tables! On top of that, the prices are exorbitant for what they serve: €23 for 10 cicchetti that have nothing to do with real cicchetti... 10 pieces of low-quality focaccia topped with something cheap you wouldn't expect from a place like this, and not even that great of a wine! The service was also a bit poor, with tables being served 15 or 20 minutes after us, with the same dishes we ordered. I still believe it's become too trendy and has lost the true value and flavor it had 8 years ago under the previous owners. 2 stars only for the view, which at least remains!

30/04/2025: I find it anomalous to say the least in a place that calls itself a "tavern", but which doesn't have bulk wine available. In an area, among other things, (the Euganean hills), where there is a winery that produces wine practically every km. And even more anomalous is the fact that it doesn't even have a wine list. And be careful when asking! The owner might resent you and reply (as happened to me) "I'm the wine list!". If you then order a first course and ask if they can bring you some parmesan, the answer will be that it is already there. And then you have to insist, so in the end they bring it to you. Snorting, but they bring it to you. And as if that wasn't enough, you eat like in a restaurant, with a placemat and paper napkin, but you pay like in a restaurant. And what's more, you are treated badly and with disdain. Honestly, I'm surprised it's still open.

30/04/2025: A pearl found by chance. We were returning from the Euganean Hills on April 25th and found this restaurant by searching on Google. We stopped in this pearl managed by a girl who is very knowledgeable about wines and at the entrance we found her mother having lunch and she told us that the jarfiniera is made by her (she even explained the whole process with the blast chiller etc.). However, we ate divinely: Vicenza-style cod, a platter of the right amount for two people with truly excellent cheeses and cured meats and obviously the giardiniera, a plate of bigoli with duck ragù. To conclude, a particular biscuit made by them whose name I don't remember, really good with a good coffee. Absolutely justified value for money, but above all an environment with a touch of personality certainly given by the creativity of the girl who manages it. We add that we were with our dog, therefore kind also in this sense and we say goodbye to the three cats who act as reception at the entrance :-) Congratulations indeed, these are the places you always want to find when you go around. 22/07/2025: Excellent for aperitifs and after-dinner drinks, they're known for their quality drinks. It's nice to listen to music, but it's also very pleasant to chat with the people you're drinking with. It's not a nightclub; you should be able to hear the people next to you.

05/08/2025: Capitati quasi per caso domenica scorsa per il pranzo. Location incantevole. Titolare estremamente gentile. Personale di sala altrettanto cordiale. Antipasto mio molto buono ( fiori di zucca ripieni di baccalà mantecato) Così come il primo del mio compagno (tortiglioni di patate al ragù bianco). Le noti dolenti sono arrivate con i ns due secondi ordinati: 1 coscia di faraona che non era a mio parere memorabile, ne’ come gusto ne’ come cottura. L’altro secondo ovvero costolette d’agnello deludente (carne molto molto dura). All’atto del pagamento, però il titolare ha compreso quanto verificatosi e non ci ha conteggiato uno dei due secondi. Ottimo gesto da parte Sua. Senz’altro ben gradito da parte nostra. Torneremo. Magari per provare qualche piatto del menu’ di pesce. Un’ultima nota che spero il titolare gentile ed attento non vorrà’ tralasciare : davvero le porzioni sono (troppo) risicate. Mi creda… la quantità del cibo suggerisco davvero di riconsiderarla, implementandola. Grazie.

03/08/2025: Locale molto bello e curato con vista sui colli. Personale cortese e premuroso. Piatti qualitativamente buoni ma porzioni ristrette in rapporto ai prezzi, specie per quel che riguarda i primi (5 tortelli 18€ mi pare davvero troppo…). Esperienza nel complesso positiva seppur migliorabile.
