06/04/2024: They recommended the place to us which started out as a delicatessen. We went in to buy a slice of ham and the owner, a fantastic person, let us taste the ham and we sat down for lunch. They offered us an entree with delicious Altamura bread and olives. We ordered the ham, a first course and side dishes. It was all delicious and when the owner came by and saw that there were some leftover garganelli with herbalist and speck he asked if they weren't good and we took them home in a heat-sealed tray in a controlled atmosphere... anyway the ham was fantastic, the garganelli fabulous and the Apulian specialties of Stradone... if I were to return to Montagnana I already know where to go to eat. Ah, owner and waiter, exquisite people

05/04/2024: Good experience. You can enjoy high quality meats and cheeses at a reasonable price and in a very nice and intimate setting. In the shop you can buy the products you ate for dinner and taste others if you want to bring something with you to share with friends at home. I recommend the menus, reasonably priced but tasty and plentiful. Friendly staff. Advised !

07/04/2024: One of the most beautiful and cleanest places I've ever been. The ambience takes you back to the time when there were knights in armor. The staff downstairs was young, but still very nice and helpful, even when we had difficult questions. We didn't have to wait long for any food and there was a fairly good and large selection of wines. The food tasted very good for both the older people (over 70) and the younger ones (under 10). From starters to dessert. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Plus, the portions were just right. We'd love to come back!

07/04/2024: We went for an aperitif, ate a nice plate of Montagnana ham with typical bread from the area. We had plans to go to another place to eat but we were late so we decided to eat there. It was a very grateful surprise. The top service, professional and very friendly (thank you Marco for your charisma and advice). The food... phenomenal. They have good raw materials and are innovative in the way they present the dishes. All very tasty and tasty, we even tasted the dishes between everyone. I will definitely come back or pass the word on 🧡

06/04/2024: Every time friends pass through Montagnana, I try to take them to the Palio restaurant, because, in addition to trying typically characteristic dishes, the portions are generous and the menu choice involves both Venetian cuisine and the pizzeria option. The medieval setting is in line with the scenery of the adjacent city walls, with the possibility of spaces both inside and outside (here the environment is brighter). The staff is kind and friendly, I recommend booking for large groups and on weekends!

06/04/2024: The pizza arrived an hour and a half after ordering and was completely raw and rubbery: inedible, it used to be much better, the dough was better and so was the service.

21/01/2024: Raramente scrivo recensioni negative, ma non posso far a meno, oggi! In occasione della Festa del Maiale in piazza, pranzo con la famiglia: due adulti e tre bimbi. Assenza di seggiolone per la bimba di 8 mesi (si può nel 2024 non averlo?! Ma vabbè, chiudiamo un occhio) camerieri impreparati. Menù pessimo e scarno, solo: taglieri prosciutto crudo e/o formaggi, pasta radicchio e speck, salame cotto e polenta. Null’altro. Pazzesco. Ordiniamo il menu, altro non c’era da mangiare…pasta scotta e completamente FREDDA (dopo aver atteso 20/30 minuti). Arriva il cameriere coi secondi, in tavola avevamo ancora i piatti del primo e ci guarda…dove li metto?! Noi allibiti, spieghiamo che forse, prima, dovevano passare a ritirare i piatti… Polenta calda, fagioli da scatola conditi, il salame NON era salame bensì una salsiccia piccola e FREDDA!! Dolce al cioccolato non buono. Caffè. Considerazioni: entrate per bere un caffè, di certo non per mangiare!! Pessimi.

26/12/2023: Finalmente l'antica Enoteca Tomanin è ritornata alla grande nel proporre cibi particolari e gustosi grazie a Giulia, che ha ereditato la passione per la ristorazione dal padre Gianluca, ed Ilenia che ha messo a frutto tutta la Sua esperienza, nonostante la giovane età, accumulata negli anni lavorando come cuoca nella cucina di questo storico locale. Il pranzo di Natale è stato indimenticabile, non solo per la bontà dei cibi proposti ma anche per l'esclusività di un ristorante unico nel suo genere sicuramente ben inserito nel contesto di una città d'arte come Montagnana, di cui ne rispecchia tutta la storicità. Un plauso anche per la preparazione dei tavoli in perfetta sintonia con il locale e la festività Natalizia che si andava a festeggiare. Un grazie particolare anche ai nonni Francesco e Luciana che hanno lavorato con passione per tantissimo tempo in questo locale, facendone una ragione di vita. Luca e Lorella

07/04/2024: Highly recommended for hospitality, quality and waiting times (on Easter Monday): we appreciated the excellent appetizers, the garganelli with asparagus and the bigoli with duck ragout, finishing with a delicious coffee; only the services are a little dated.

03/12/2023: Personale estremamente cordiale e professionale, servizio eccellente ed effettuato con i giusti tempi tra le portate. Dal punto di vista gastronomico le proposte sono di altissimo livello, piatti ricercati, ben presentati ma soprattutto sapori unici. L' esperienza è stata davvero unica, oltre alle portate principali che ci hanno lasciato a bocca aperta, la proposta di entree della chef e la piccola pasticceria sono chicche che hanno arricchito la nostra già fantastica serata. Ampiamente il miglior ristorante di Montagnana e della zona.
