08/11/2025: Caconero was my favorite place in Venice. Why? Because you feel completely at ease there – thanks to the friendliness and warmth of the staff and the quality of the food and wine. It's located away from the tourist crowds in Dorsoduro, and instead of Venice's standard menu, you'll find a different, more creative, yet deeply Italian cuisine, prepared with great care. I already miss it as I write this, so I hope to see you again soon, and mille grazie!

04/06/2025: The food is quite good, but not outstanding. The service was not good. The waiters seemed listless, and when taking our order, our waiter was more concerned with other people and his smartphone than with us. Despite the large number of waiters on duty, they seemed very disorganized, busy, and stressed. Smiles and Italian hospitality are nonexistent here. For example, it took three different waiters, one after the other, to set the table next door – for two people! They were constantly coming and going and fiddling around at the table without really doing anything. No wonder the service, despite being well-staffed, couldn't get anything done and was stressed. The couple at the newly set table next door also waited forever until a waiter took their order. Meanwhile, waiters were constantly rushing by, sometimes empty-handed. For this "service," you also pay a comparatively high cover of €5 per person. We didn't tip extra, which I rarely do. The ambiance is OK. The decor is nice, but the tables are very close together, and if you're unlucky, one might be by the aisle. During our meal, children's chairs were lifted over our table because the waiter couldn't get past them otherwise. Another waiter bumped into our table and just barely managed to avoid dropping his plates. And because it wasn't already crowded enough, something was being prepared at the neighboring table. That's generally a good thing, but then the tables shouldn't be so close together. Especially since the preparation at the table was again carried out with the usual lack of enthusiasm here. Then they might as well prepare the fish in the kitchen instead of at the table. Conclusion: The food was quite good, the ambiance was okay, and the service was poor and lackluster, but at least not unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend it.

02/06/2025: We've been to Neps several times now. Unfortunately, the service is getting worse and worse. The food is good, but the waiters aren't particularly friendly and are very hectic and irritable. You're practically "brushed over" here. Thankfully, there are many good restaurants in Jesolo with very friendly staff, where service is also a top priority.

18/10/2025: A surefire place in Vicenza. The best onion rings in the entire Veneto region. It's definitely worth a mention, especially for the owners' friendliness and courtesy. Highly recommended.
