We found Trattoria Rivetta in a Japanese guidebook, and I’m so glad we did. It’s one of those hidden gems that would be easy to walk right past, but those who find it are in for an incredible meal. Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the squid ink pasta, the liver with polenta, and the sea bass gnocchi. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. What really made the evening unforgettable, though, was our waiter. He spoke excellent Japanese, which made my mother-in-law from Japan feel especially welcome. His great sense of humor, warm personality, and attentive service turned an amazing dinner into one we’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend Trattoria Rivetta if you’re looking for a memorable meal in Venice.

I would say skip. It’s fancy, but not very tasty. We had food here after a long day of travel and I don’t remember something so tasteless anywhere else. The shrimp and mantis shrimp tasted like… water.

Great family atmosphere, the menu was mostly seafood and we are not a seafood family the waiter mentioned they had spaghetti and meat sauce and lasagna so we decided to stay and what a great time we had. Top notch staff.

Excellent restaurant! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The main courses were large, the appetizers were small, but that's how it should be. The service was excellent, we enjoyed everything. There weren't many people there. We highly recommend it!

A wonderful dining experience in Venice! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of wines, and a special thanks to Ross, whose expertise and passion made choosing the perfect wine. He explained the different options in a way that was both informative and engaging. The food was delicious, with a strong focus on fresh seafood dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients.

My favorite dining experience in Italy so far (this trip has included Rome, Tuscany, and Cortina)!!! The service was incredible, our waiter was very kind and took the time to explain the menu to my family and I (clearly tourists from the US). He was kind and attentive but not overbearing, and he didn’t make me feel bad for being a tourist in his city like so many of the waiters we have had during this trip. I ordered the gnocchi with roast duck and it was unbelievably delicious. My family all ordered sea food dishes which also were incredible. Delightful, not too busy, quick and kind service, and delicious food. Wish we were here longer and could come back!

10/06/2026: I went for lunch with friends and everything was wonderful: impeccable service, excellent food, and a breathtaking sea view. I heard there's a rooftop, so next time we'll go for a drink. We'll definitely be back!
09/06/2026: "Probably the best seafood restaurant in Bibione. We had a truly fantastic evening, accompanied by excellent food, a splendid sea view, and impeccable service. Special thanks go to Luis, who welcomed us and looked after us with great professionalism and friendliness throughout the dinner. He was able to recommend the seafood appetizer at Il Gabbiano, which turned out to be an exceptional choice: incredibly fresh fish, exquisite flavors, and generous portions. The homemade desserts also deserve a special mention. We chose the pistachio cheesecake, and it was simply delicious: creamy, balanced, and full of flavor, one of the best we've ever tasted. From the quality of the dishes to the courtesy of the staff, everything was perfect. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a true seafood experience in Bibione. We can't wait to return!"

07/08/2026: We wanted to try this new place. It's very nice on the outside, but the inside is sterile, with a lot of chatter. Let's talk about the food. The mixed appetizer was €24 or €26, I don't remember... comparable to a pizzeria, not very fresh, very frozen, the serving size resting on the shell, the rest as mentioned. Baked sea bass, max 900g, decent, side dish, unwatchable. Turbot, max 900g, dry, with side dish equal to sea bass. Mine was served with the skin on. The tiramisu and strawberry sorbet were good. Poor service, very much like a low-end osteria. The tablecloths were decent, except for the wrapped paper napkin with the cutlery inside it... highway style... you can't see it, but then you're charging me €350 for three. Wrapped paper napkin? You're kidding me... I won't be back unless it's for a first course and a glass of wine... because the place is beautiful. And I forgot, the chairs and umbrellas are sponsored by an ice cream brand, like at a sports bar... no thanks.
01/08/2026: Superb cuisine, highly recommended; anyone who loves fish and seafood will be in heaven. The many Italian guests, who make up the majority of the clientele, are proof of the high standard!
