This restaurant is a combination of classic venetian cooking combined with a tourist twist. It is billed as a gondolier place, but I'd doubt there were any there as the place was full of tourists. They do have good traditional venetian classics executed without seeming compromise. The waiters have that friendly Italian shtick. There's always a push for wine, coffee, extras and that's ok. Bit peeved at the price i paid for a special. I thought i heard fourteen but it was forty!! Undecided as to whether I'll return but i might.

I was looking for a typical trattoria and not the classic tourist trap and I can guarantee that this place was a pleasant discovery. Everything perfect from the starter to the first courses, second courses and desserts. Recommended for those who are in Venice and want to eat divinely. Reservation is recommended.

Carbonara and fried squid shrimp were delicious.
Grilled chicken is a bit not so good...
I had cappuccino and tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious.
The waiters are humorous and friendly.
I went in when there were no customers, but when I left, all the tables were full. It's hard to find because the entrance is under a bridge, but I guess it's a really good restaurant.
The food is very good quality and there is a variety of dishes. Without a doubt, what we liked the most was their waiter, with whom we did not stop joking.

A regular haunt located on the banks of the Rio del Vin and hidden behind stairs. There you will meet gondoliers, other locals and knowledgeable tourists. I come back after 4 years and their specialty, fish lasagna, is still excellent! 🐟
Not to spoil anything, despite a restaurant that is always full, the staff takes great care. 👌

The monk fish, the lasagna and the ravioli were just amazing. If you can imagine excellent lasagna, well…. This one was better than that. The monk fish melted in mouth. However the house wine/vino was the best.
About the service, i think they have the most efficient, friendly service in Italy. Jack was so accommodating and preemptive, we just simply enjoyed our time.. and the food. Our kids that have were peculiar taste in food, were amazed, they also tried new food.

Lovely locanda, where you eat like ages ago.
Soft shell crabs are simply delicious as well as the fried calamari.Very good risotto.
The staff is pleasent and friendly
