14/01/2026: I thought about it for a long time before writing this review. In the end, I decided that the experience my family and I had last Christmas Eve at this 'relais' was unacceptable for too many reasons. Nothing to say about the place. It's a historic building. Probably leased by a public entity to private individuals who should quickly change their profession. What's truly appalling is the restaurant. Not up to par, the establishment's 'chef' readily forgets the basic rules of cooking and will make you laugh out loud (assuming you're someone who takes things lightly). Unsalted fish, poorly cooked rice unsuitable for risotto, frozen cod, overcooked paccheri, and sour tomato sauce; this was served to us, nonchalantly and with a scowl like Barbieri on MasterChef. Okay, it can happen. You go somewhere and eat badly, that's fine, cross it out and leave. But no, it's not over. I swear, it felt like a candid camera. The waiter Antonio, and I mention him because he insisted on being called that and using the informal "tu" with us, technically harassed us all evening. Compliments, unsolicited confidences, jokes to my mother about her being with "such handsome guys" (my brothers-in-law and I were totally shocked), physical contact, and an intrusiveness unlike Trump's with Venezuela. With every course, we were all embarrassed, wondering what he was going to do next. He even followed us as we went to smoke: "Guys, you're making me walk sooooooooooo." And off he went, twirling too close, bordering on frotteur-esque rubbing with a triple Axel. Now, I say: Do you understand where you are and what you do for a living? I don't think so.

11/04/2026: Great variety of vegetarian burgers. We had a burger with a beetroot patty and it was delicious. The fries were crispy and tasty too. We'll definitely be back!

07/02/2026: An ideal place for those who want to enjoy prime meat paired with excellent vegetable and side dish combinations. We found the atmosphere warm and welcoming, the staff attentive even to the needs of the little ones, and the sweet owner made us feel right at home. Also recommended for its location, just steps from Perugia's historic center.

14/07/2026: I'd like to share my brief experience. I ordered six takeout pizzas for 8:00 PM, after being told to reserve them for that time because I'd have to wait later. We arrived to pick up the pizzas at 7:55 PM and, after a rude welcome, were told to wait 10 minutes because it was too early, but that was no problem. This negative review stems from the fact that after another 20 minutes of waiting, while we were waiting for our pizzas, we heard some completely inappropriate jokes from the staff. We don't understand this as there were no comments or inappropriate behavior on our part, so they had no reason to do so. We're very sorry for what happened as the pizzas were good. We won't be returning.

31/05/2026: Honestly and objectively, I can say: I go to this place very often. Besides, I'm the pizza chef's dad, I wait my turn like any other customer and pay without discounts. I recognize the perseverance and patience required to run a restaurant these days, as well as the difficulty in finding the right people to pamper and fulfill the requests of customers who are increasingly attentive to the art of cooking. In my own small way, I've tried to instill the values ​​of life by setting a personal example. In my opinion, the place largely meets Umbrian standards of excellence; the only thing that could be improved is the space itself, but unfortunately, renting a restaurant comes with many limitations.

02/05/2026: I stopped by in the evening for a quick dinner, and what can I say? It's an excellent pizzeria in a small village. A lovely, warm atmosphere, excellent fried food, and excellent pizza. Plus, I have to say, kudos to the blonde waitress: very kind and helpful, as well as very cute (she'll never know who I am, after all).

08/01/2026: My husband and I stayed for New Year's Eve and left on January 2nd. We both stayed and dined at the Locanda, and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was very kind, and the dinner was superb! Breakfast was meticulously prepared, with a different dessert made every day by the owner of the Locanda! Highly recommended! We'll be back soon!
