24/01/2026: I went for lunch with a group of 50 people. The waiters and the owner were very kind. They gave us seconds when we asked, even though we had the fixed price. The appetizers, fried food, and the first course were delicious, all plentiful. 😀

25/12/2025: We dined twice during our stay at the hotel. The setting is beautiful, as is the rest of the hotel. I really appreciate the table linens and the attention to detail. The service is excellent, although on one occasion a couple of mistakes were made. The menu is very interesting, but it's difficult to choose. The food was excellent. Two observations: the portions were too small and the prices were a bit high. We spent around €40 each, but ate very little. I didn't appreciate the fact that I paid more for a bottle of their Roccafiore wine than I did at another restaurant in the city. A word of advice: the tasting menu shouldn't be mandatory for the entire table if there are two people at the table. I understand the logic behind large tables, but if one person wants one menu and the other wants another, I don't see the complexity. I think restaurants that want to maintain this level need a bit of flexibility. I'm including a photo of the pigeon, an Umbrian specialty.

09/12/2025: Found thanks to the Michelin guide. Pleasantly surprised. Excellent and beautifully presented cuisine. Impeccable service. Excellent in-house wines. I hope to be in the area again so I can return.

08/02/2026: Very good yogurt, but on Sunday evening at 10.26pm they didn't make me a waffle because there was no more batter, it doesn't seem very nice to me (February 8th)

14/01/2026: I thought about it for a long time before writing this review. In the end, I decided that the experience my family and I had last Christmas Eve at this 'relais' was unacceptable for too many reasons. Nothing to say about the place. It's a historic building. Probably leased by a public entity to private individuals who should quickly change their profession. What's truly appalling is the restaurant. Not up to par, the establishment's 'chef' readily forgets the basic rules of cooking and will make you laugh out loud (assuming you're someone who takes things lightly). Unsalted fish, poorly cooked rice unsuitable for risotto, frozen cod, overcooked paccheri, and sour tomato sauce; this was served to us, nonchalantly and with a scowl like Barbieri on MasterChef. Okay, it can happen. You go somewhere and eat badly, that's fine, cross it out and leave. But no, it's not over. I swear, it felt like a candid camera. The waiter Antonio, and I mention him because he insisted on being called that and using the informal "tu" with us, technically harassed us all evening. Compliments, unsolicited confidences, jokes to my mother about her being with "such handsome guys" (my brothers-in-law and I were totally shocked), physical contact, and an intrusiveness unlike Trump's with Venezuela. With every course, we were all embarrassed, wondering what he was going to do next. He even followed us as we went to smoke: "Guys, you're making me walk sooooooooooo." And off he went, twirling too close, bordering on frotteur-esque rubbing with a triple Axel. Now, I say: Do you understand where you are and what you do for a living? I don't think so.

04/10/2025: We stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way to Florence, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city — peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully serene. The staff were incredibly welcoming/accommodating, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. We’d return in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends!

13/10/2025: An excellent restaurant in Castelluccio di Norcia. Traditional cuisine, well-prepared and with interesting, high-quality ingredients, and attentive and friendly service. The price is right for the quantity and quality. I recommend booking.

16/09/2025: It's always nice to return to Castelluccio, especially if you eat at places like this. Everything was perfect. Exceptional dishes. We had various appetizers, and the choice was perfect. The first course was excellent. I recommend calling to eat.

01/03/2026: Highly recommended! Very fair price and excellent quality. Torta di testo was well-filled, perhaps a little softer would be better, but crispy enough. Reasonably quick service, a "spartan" restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a must-try in Perugia, otherwise you can't say you've been to this city.
