31/08/2025: Well... Food is good. But service does impact on taste. It was a very unpleasant visit service wise. Rude waiter that does not wanted to serve tables. He was training a young waiter, poor sou that will lear how not to do. Food was good! It a bit too much Instagrammed presentation and a bit lag on taste. My stake was not on the point I requested and a bit cold. The best recommendations is to eat the gelato next door after eating at the fantasticAll'Antico Vinaio!

19/08/2025: I had dinner with my parents. They looked after us carefully. Excellent food! As soon as I return to Forte dei Marmi, I'll be back!

23/11/2025: They put us in the back room, which isn't heated (at the end of November). We asked if they could turn on the stove in the room, but it wasn't possible (we don't know why). Even getting a bottle of water was a problem. It seemed like it wasn't available... The food was very greasy.

10/12/2025: I've been there a few times because it's close to the university. The food isn't bad, but the staff isn't the best. One waiter in particular is very apathetic; it seems like he's doing the customers a favor. Plus, I once found a pebble in an artichoke risotto.

30/10/2025: Truly a unique first course 🤞🏼👏🏻 I had fritto misto for dinner and it was excellent, I highly recommend you try it. The waiter, Ale, was very kind and very fast. The waiter was really kind and friendly, thank you for making the evening wonderful.

02/03/2026: If you walk into this bakery and find the fantastic Piera, you're in for a treat. She'll talk to you with such passion about the products on display that you'll want to try them all, and we returned twice in half an hour to try her suggestions. Everything here is delicious, from the focaccias to the desserts. Fill up on the rice fritters, which are amazing, more delicate than the traditional Carnival ones. You'll regret having too few, like we did, and you'll want to go back (which is what happened to us). But the real treat is the Lucanian Torta d'erbi ch'obecchi, a sweet, hearty, and delicious cake split in two—an absolute must-try. Everything here will win you over, but the shop's true asset is Piera, who, with a wonderful smile, will immerse you in Lucanian traditions and take you on a journey of flavors. Unmissable!

22/02/2026: Was in line ready to buy, but left disgusted. One employee was chewing bread while serving customers, talking with her mouth open and crumbs falling near the food. Another gave bread to a dog inside the bakery, touched the dog’s mouth, and then handled exposed pastries without washing her hands. The food looked good, but the lack of basic hygiene made me sick to my stomach. I walked out without buying anything. Very disappointing.

17/02/2026: A tasty treat. Friendly staff, a wide selection of sweet and savory treats, including a wide variety of schiacciate filled with everything. Plenty of indoor tables are available for a comfortable sit-down meal. Average prices, but superior quality.

01/02/2026: A pastry shop located a 10-minute drive from the center of Lucca. Entering and window shopping gives a great first impression, but a closer look and tasting reveal many critical points. The prices are higher than average, and the quality of the leavened products is average, neither praise nor disgrace. There's no table service, which is very unpleasant. Various selections of cakes and desserts, but all classic, '90s style: the lack of modern cakes and pastries in general is noticeable. The staff is not very friendly.

09/02/2026: ⸻ I stayed two days at the Renaissance in Lucca as a birthday surprise for my partner, but unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special weekend turned into a very inconvenient experience. The 80-minute massages, included in the package, were never provided, only 60-minute ones. Dinner, which was supposed to be prepaid by my partner's mother as a gift, was not booked. The room wasn't cleaned on Sunday morning. Furthermore, a maid knocked on our door and came in almost immediately, without waiting for an answer, while we were still in the room, just to bring water. In the morning, we were also asked if breakfast was included, instead of checking directly with reception, which we felt was unprofessional. In conclusion, what was supposed to be a surprise turned out to be a real disaster, an experience I'd never had before in a hotel of this caliber.

14/09/2025: I've rarely eaten such amazing pizza! For two people, we paid a total of €35 for two pizzas, a liter of wine, and two grappas. We felt very comfortable and are happy that we got a table without a reservation. Even on a Sunday evening in September, many tables are reserved. Thank you so much ❤️

31/10/2025: I was shocked 😲! Make sure you pay each piece you eat right away. I was overcharged and when I asked for the detailed receipt the man with the glasses couldn't even make up the math. Sad so sad! It was my childhood place, I used to go there with my dad. To steal a couple of euros you must be a very poor soul. I will never set foot again in that place 😒

21/02/2026: 1. At the entrance there was a woman asking for personal information in order to do something with RANGE ROVER, which was out of place for the kind of experience we were expecting; 2. The service was excellent! 3. The spaghetti with clams were unfortunately over salted, even though the quality of the food was excellent; 4. The pasta with truffles was delicious and delicate! 5. The seabass with capers and olives was excellent (but a bit over salted). We are looking forward to coming back, but the next time will mention to put less salt!

11/01/2026: I dined at Giardino dei Mari in Viareggio and the experience was overall very positive. Following the staff's guidance, I tried a sea bass with Vernaccia wine, which was simply phenomenal: a perfect balance of flavors and incredibly fresh fish. The paccheri were also very good, cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. For me, fried fish is always the "test point" for a seafood restaurant: the mixed seafood was excellent, crispy and flavorful, but unfortunately the squid had the wrong texture, which detracted somewhat from its pleasantness. It's a real shame, because this detail prevents me from awarding a fifth star, despite the fact that the closing was a success with some phenomenal desserts. Overall, an excellent place where the passion for cooking shines through. I'll definitely be back to be amazed by their dishes again!

20/12/2025: Good ice cream, but it's impossible that maybe 1 in 5 girls knows how to put it on. Sometimes they pass the cone into your hand and you see the ice cream that's about to fall off.
