06/03/2026: The place feels a bit like a working-class house, but the tables are well spaced apart for privacy.
The decor is a bit dated.
It's definitely a party place in the summer, with a DJ booth and live music.
Anyway, time will help. Good luck and good luck for the summer months ahead.

16/02/2026: This is my first time back under the new management, and my experience was fabulous. As everyone has noticed, the owners are incredibly kind. Their love for the place and the refuge is evident, and I hope they always maintain this enthusiasm! The dinner included with the overnight stay was incredibly plentiful and delicious. It's hard to remember everything you ate! The breakfast buffet was also delicious and excellent.
We're already planning our return trip.
04/02/2026: I want to share my enthusiasm for the new management of the Forte dei Marmi refuge. I visited them for lunch on a Sunday in January.
Overall, the experience was positive! Certainly, some things can be changed, refined, or improved. But I want to praise the energy and hospitality of the new managers!
Francesco and Agnese exude serenity when you arrive at the refuge.
It's sad to read all these comments from "mountain people" who attack so harshly those who humbly try to do their job.
Even though I've never worked in a refuge, I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years. Add to this the difficulty of reaching high altitudes, managing the weather, and so many other issues, and I think it's not easy at all.
I urge these keyboard warriors who so courageously and easily pass judgment to keep certain comments to themselves every now and then and perhaps discuss them with the people directly involved in person...
Some comments are not only useless but also harmful!
Best of luck to everyone! Refugees first and foremost and also to food critics🥸

Last week. I was craving food, I was out walking, and I hadn't been to Michele's in years: I said to myself, let's go.
I wish I'd never done it.
3 euros for a small square of microbial pizza. Let's remember that, given the average price of pizza in Lido and the size of the square, it would mean paying between 30 and 40 euros for a standard whole pizza.
But let's talk about pizza. The worst motorway service station makes them better. Microbial little pieces of rubbery dough. The mozzarella on top looks like the kind used on cheap frozen pizzas. Dry and barely topped. I wanted to throw it away. Then, remembering I'd overpaid for it, I forced myself to finish it.
I'll never go there again, not even under torture. Calling this shapeless substance "pizza" would be like calling vomit a rich selection of appetizers from Michelin-starred chefs.

02/11/2025: I would say it was a rather negative experience!!!! The order arrived an hour after the requested time, justified by the fact that it was placed on an app and therefore not precise... to make matters worse, the pizzas ordered were 5 and only 4 arrived!!! And finally, I would like to add, if not the worst, the rudeness and lack of professionalism of the girl who answered the phone when I called to ask for an explanation!!! I would like to tell her that if she doesn't want to do this job, she should change it!!!!!! Too bad because I also think the pizzas are good!!!! Patience!!!

18/10/2025: The worst experience of my life in a restaurant. We were a group of twenty, and after over an hour, some had finished eating and others still hadn't received anything. I complained to the pizza chef (who I later learned was also the owner of the restaurant) and he replied that he had done everything as ordered, going so far as to verbally and then physically threaten my cousin who had approached to help me. The pizza chef/owner was dragged away by the waiters and no one replaced him at the oven, leaving part of the group without dinner. They even had the nerve to charge us full price (a €10 discount!!) in cash because the register was closed, and absolutely without issuing a receipt. An absolute disgrace. The children in the group were terrified to see us attacked like this by someone and talked about the incident for weeks. We were unsure whether to call the police. Definitely avoid this place!!
21/09/2025: We've always been customers, but this year, with the change of management, we had a terrible experience at the restaurant. We ordered three pizzas and one first course; the spaghetti and one pizza arrived immediately, but the rest took over an hour, simply because we repeatedly asked the pizza chef and waiter. One pizza would come out at random, and they'd bring it to tables that arrived after us. Extremely disorganized, we won't be returning.

20/07/2025: Amo la puzza napoletana per cui ho deciso di provare anxhe questa pizzeria. Abbiamo preso pwr cominciare delle montanare classiche; sono rimasta sorpresa dalla totale mancanza di sapore e di sale sia nell' impasto che nel condimento. Questa zeppola fritta era tutta pasta insapore con un cucchiaino scarso di pomodoro e un pochino di mozzarella...tutto sensa sapore. Abbiamo sperato nella pizza...ben condita e ben cotta...ma anche in questo caso impasto senza sale...l'unica salinita' era data dal condimento. Non credo di tornarci...mi spiace anxhe perche il personale e' gentile
07/07/2025: Mangiare una pizza da Masaniello non è solo una cena, è un rito. Appena entri, capisci subito che sei nel tempio della pizza napoletana: ambiente semplice, servizio rapido, profumo irresistibile e una lunga fila fuori che ti conferma quanto questo posto sia amato.
Il menù è essenziale, come vuole la tradizione: Margherita e Marinara sono le regine indiscusse, e basta assaggiarle per capire perché. L’impasto è leggerissimo, soffice, con un cornicione ben sviluppato ma mai pesante. Il pomodoro è saporito, la mozzarella fusa alla perfezione, il basilico fresco e l’olio extravergine danno il tocco finale. È una pizza che sa di Napoli, di casa, di verità.
Il servizio è veloce e diretto, come in ogni pizzeria storica che si rispetti. Nessun fronzolo, solo qualità e passione. Il prezzo? Onestissimo, soprattutto per la qualità che offre.
Da Masaniello è un’istituzione: se sei un amante della vera pizza napoletana, non puoi non venire qui almeno una volta nella vita. E una volta che ci sei stato… difficilmente sarà l’ultima. Nota di merito per il cameriere..bello, tatuato e con un fascino che non passa inosservato.
È sempre bello incontrare persone che fanno il proprio lavoro con passione, e oggi ne abbiamo avuto la prova. Il cameriere non si è limitato a servirci: ci ha accolto con il sorriso, ci ha guidato nella scelta dei piatti con entusiasmo sincero e ha curato ogni dettaglio del servizio con attenzione e professionalità.
Si vedeva chiaramente che ama ciò che fa: dalla cura con cui spiegava i piatti, alla pazienza nel rispondere alle domande, fino alla disponibilità nel venire incontro a ogni richiesta. Non era lì solo per 'fare il suo dovere', ma per farci vivere una bella esperienza.
In un mondo dove spesso tutto corre veloce, trovare qualcuno che mette il cuore nel proprio lavoro è davvero un valore aggiunto. Complimenti!"
