29/08/2024: Excellent dinner, we opted for pizzas but there was also an excellent choice of first and second courses, very spacious and fresh.

28/08/2024: Go go go go........ 40 minutes to order without even a bit of water these days, food in short, cold trying to convince me otherwise....... if you can't keep all the tables you can't fill them up!

16/07/2024: Fuori ci sono le zanzare e a me piace l’aria condizionata. Vengo qua, dove appunto non ci sono bestie pungenti e si sta freschi. Andato di lunedi, locale stracolmo. Era un pezzo non prendevo la tartarre, mi ha lasciato piacevolmente stupito e mi son detto “la prossima volta pure”. Chips di tartufo immancabili (ordinate 2 volte) in 4 era doveroso. La bistecca manco a dirlo è uno dei cardini del locale, se ci metti anche una patata fritta, accompagnato da un ottimo vino, la serata scorre, anche troppo veloce. Si finisce col dolce, col cestino che hanno solo qua e che a me piace da matti, nonostante non sia amante dei dolci. Come sempre il servizio (per la mole di clienti, incredibile) impeccabile e gioviale : poca attesa e grande atmosfera di cordialità. Cosi come al ristorante “gemello” qui mi sento a casa. Prezzi ottimi come sempre, più bassi del normale. Come sempre consigliato.

22/08/2024: Abbiamo cenato a base pizza 4 adulti e 4 bambini. C'eravamo già stati alcuni anni fa, sempre mangiato bene. Però leggendo la maggior parte delle recensioni, che erano prevalentemente negative, siamo andati un po' prevenuti. Invece personale molto cortese e disponibile, attesa pizza entro la mezz'ora, ottima pizza sia come impasto sia come cottura e come ingredienti. Inoltre il proprietario a fine cena è passato a chiedere se tutto era andato bene e ho notato che l'ha fatto anche con altri avventori.

01/08/2024: Everything is homemade, even the chips, and it feels...excellent, very fresh dishes. Succulent burgers, only those who are very hungry can finish them!

06/07/2024: Best vegterian/vegan restaurant in Tuscany/Italy?! We found it by coincidence and stayed in the end for 2 dinners. Awesome experience, as it is a 5 course tasting menu, and the menu is not known until the plates are brought to youd table. (Nearly?) Everything is organic and the vegetables/fruits are grown in the owner‘s garden and only seasonal igredients are used. The menu changes every day and costs 48€/per person. We had two wonderful dinners, as you can start having a drink in the beautiful garden with a view over the vinyards and olive trees. The staff is LOVELY!! Such a heartwarming team! If you friendly ask, you can even charge your electric car. We‘ll definitely come back BUT this time we‘ll stay in one of the rooms for a couple of nights, as the hotel looks fabulous!😊

10/06/2024: We were excited about a 5 course vegetarian eating menu since I am vegetarian and were unfortunately disappointed. Of the 3 courses, 3 were mostly starches: a bread course, a rice course, and a potato course. The others were a cucumber soup and a sorbet for desert. There were a few vegetables in the preparations but barely any and the sauce on the rice and potatoes didn't have much taste or taste particularly good. I ended up leaving a lot the food over. I'm a small eater and yet I was hungry and had a snack when we got back to our hotel. There were little or no nuts or beans either, which I would expect with a vegan meal. From the other reviews here, I imagine that there are more vegetables on other nights, but I would not give the place another try.

17/07/2024: Having come across it during a walk and attracted by the queue, we bought two cones (2 and 3 flavours). The ice cream is well made, the flavors are easily distinguishable from each other and there is an excellent choice. The cones are also very good, crunchy just right and not dry. The place inside is poorly organized due to the queue (first you pay, then everyone crowds together even though they have a number in front of the counter). The prices are a little high given those of the competitors in the area. The tables outside are comfortable, but obviously always full 😅 Still recommended, good ice cream!

16/08/2024: We went to the refuge at lunchtime without having booked and were greeted with great availability despite the many seats booked: we took advantage of the possibility of having sandwiches by sitting at the many tables inside, also eating the desserts and drinking their beer. Really friendly service, book before arriving for lunch!

12/08/2024: I haven't seen the rooms but everything is very beautiful and well organised. Excellent base for climbing and enjoying the coolness in this scorching summer. The fountain with a pool of frozen water is spectacular.

15/08/2024: Congratulations to the owner Simona and all her staff. We had dinner with 9 people, ordered different dishes and we were all thrilled with the food as well as the courtesy of Perdonala and the beautiful Locatuon. It didn't seem right to me to eat everything there was on the very assorted menu in both meat and fish, exceptional quality and even the gluten-free bread and focaccia were amazing. Civentera is one of my favorite destinations! Thank you for your quality and professionalism!

11/08/2024: Ambiente abbastanza carino e cibo discreto, ma davvero poca attenzione verso i clienti (sembra che le esigenze del ristorante di fatturare e di massimizzare il profitto siano prioritarie rispetto al far star bene i propri clienti). Rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente sbilanciata verso quest'ultimo. Nel complesso non bene.
