13/10/2025: I had the crunchy pulled pork sandwich… Wow! It was my exclamation, but also the name of the sandwich… Crispy, with a lovely, juicy, and incredibly soft filling! I can only confirm the quality and deliciousness of Sicilia e Sapori's products, always eager to satisfy even the most skeptical palates! The new menu is an experience you have to try!

19/10/2025: Morning coffee at Vera, a great cafe on a quiet pedestrian-only street in the Politeama. They also have a separate play room for families with kids.

18/10/2025: Lovely cafe! Kind staff, lovely surroundings. Food was perfect - I loved the fresh chocolate muffin that was served warm. Good for getting some work done on the Laptop too. Highly recommend this warm, hospitable place :)

13/06/2025: Luogo apparentemente chic e con una sua filosofia che poi non si ritrova nei gelati che sono di livello medio-basso sia per qualità che per effettivo sapore. Cioccolato fondente di colore marroncino ad esempio, nocciola senza le nocciole e così via. Non dà ciò che prospetta nella pubblicità. I gelati vero sono altri. Forse una visita a Catania o Palermo per capire come si facciano veri gelati è obbligatoria.

20/09/2025: We tried the Margherita Carrettiera con ’Nduja (€6) and the S. Giovannella (€6). Unfortunately, both dishes were extremely disappointing. The Margherita Carrettiera was supposed to come with tomato, garlic, chili, and Calabrian sausage paste, but it tasted more like plain aglio e olio — no tomato or ’nduja in sight. The S. Giovannella came with a thin tomato sauce and strange-looking meat that was unappetizing. We received some complimentary cheese, but it didn’t improve the dishes. Sadly, we couldn’t even finish the meal. Considering Palermo’s rich food culture, this was a letdown.

11/11/2025: Excellent place, a café, pastry shop, and more. For lunch, you can find a first or second course, an excellent arancini, or a gourmet rotisserie. Now that it's the pre-Christmas period, they offer excellent pistachio or chocolate panettone. There are other flavors, but I'm a firm believer. A short distance away, next to the Cascino store, there's a place called L'Opera that sells gluten-free products.

28/10/2025: Beautiful to look at from the outside. Depending on the table, the seating in the covered part of the restaurant is a little strange. I had two starters, which were good, but very minimalist. Not much atmosphere inside; it's definitely better outside. High prices. But no cloth napkins!!! The best thing was the bread! Staff: Very quick, very polite. Not at all warm. Would I like to come back here again? Undecided. Because the experience was lacking.

01/11/2025: We arrived and waited 15 minutes for the menu, they took the order which was half pizzeria and half restaurant and immediately after they told us that if we wanted dinner, we had to order pizza, in the end apart from me everyone ordered pizza..... we ordered three bottles of water and a beer. Moral of the story???? Out of 4 people they completely forgot one pizza. We were told in a very rude manner by the owner that it was us who had not been clear. At the end of the dinner we were told that not even coffee was possible because we would have disturbed an event that was taking place in the other room! But the bill was phenomenal.... the pizza never arrived added to the bill and an extra bottle of water.... and the owner was also offended for having asked him for the money back for a pizza that had never been seen at our table..... I could go on but I'll stop here so as not to be cruel..., NEVER AGAIN!!! Ah, it's useless to reply that we're talking without having any idea about the restaurant business because there were two chefs and a restaurant manager sitting at the table who, by the way, almost never write reviews. The rudeness and terrible treatment went too far!

01/12/2025: TOP trattoria, very friendly staff, traditional cuisine, exquisite dishes, and a crazy price (€36 for two)... try it and believe it! We tried the caponata with swordfish, and 3 1/2 first courses (both the spaghetti with sea urchin and the spaghetti with squid ink were excellent): highly recommended!!!

28/05/2025: Siamo stati guidati dal prezioso Paolo per questa buonissima cena di stasera. La caponata deliziosa è imperdibile, un gusto unico con prodotti locali freschi e ricchi di sapore. Che dire delle tagliatelle all'ancora, pesce fresco condito con pomodorino. Ci torneremo presto.

22/05/2025: Bella scoperta vicino al resort domina Zagarella, per alternare ai ristoranti dell’hotel. Ottimo tartare di tonno, in particolare ma tutto buono. Buon servizio veloce, gentili tutti. Torneremo.

12/10/2025: Eating well is a luxury, and like all things in that category, it costs money... this is the right place if you want to eat truly well without compromise!
