02/12/2024: We had a wonderful evening here! We were in the entrance room, well heated and welcoming. The food was really great! We started with the french fries, fresh and not frozen, with ketchup and mayonnaise, homemade. Oh my goodness! They were so good that we ordered a second portion, this time cacio e pepe... A real delight!! Continuing with the sandwiches, what can I say!! A goodness! Super stuffed and with very fresh ingredients. I took the one with horse meat, cooked very well, and so tender that it melted in your mouth! Those of the other diners were also really tasty! I will definitely be back!!

My server seemed surprised that at the peak of tourist season in Sicily that his customers do not all speak Italian, and impatiently grunted and gesticulated at me when I did not understand him. Ice cream was low quality and overly sweet, lacking depth of flavour. Would not recommend

21/05/2025: We were welcomed by the owners who immediately made us feel at ease. The location is enchanting, immersed in a valley between land and sea on the horizon. The products are genuine but above all delicious with very competitive prices. I highly recommend the tasting experience and the purchase of their specialties.

13/06/2025: Luogo apparentemente chic e con una sua filosofia che poi non si ritrova nei gelati che sono di livello medio-basso sia per qualità che per effettivo sapore. Cioccolato fondente di colore marroncino ad esempio, nocciola senza le nocciole e così via. Non dà ciò che prospetta nella pubblicità. I gelati vero sono altri. Forse una visita a Catania o Palermo per capire come si facciano veri gelati è obbligatoria.

03/06/2025: Yesterday my Dudu and I had lunch at this restaurant in the historic center of Castelbuono...we ate really well...the pizza was soft, light and tasty...even the second course of meat...everything was of excellent quality...very kind and attentive staff...I was feeling ill yesterday due to a reaction to cortisone and antihistamine and everyone was incredibly helpful and kind...❤️

08/05/2025: Very confusing place, tables placed very close together to save space and have more seats. Heavy pizza with poor quality ingredients. Even the very easy chocolate cake was terrible, hard and instead of the fondant heart, icing had been put on top. The best was the coffee served in plastic cups at the end of the dinner. I had already been there a few years ago and the pizza wasn't bad, but recently they have lowered the quality and the prices are also high based on the place and the quality.

28/05/2025: Siamo stati guidati dal prezioso Paolo per questa buonissima cena di stasera. La caponata deliziosa è imperdibile, un gusto unico con prodotti locali freschi e ricchi di sapore. Che dire delle tagliatelle all'ancora, pesce fresco condito con pomodorino. Ci torneremo presto.

22/05/2025: Bella scoperta vicino al resort domina Zagarella, per alternare ai ristoranti dell’hotel. Ottimo tartare di tonno, in particolare ma tutto buono. Buon servizio veloce, gentili tutti. Torneremo.

23/05/2025: Awful attitude by head waiter. He forced ZBruschetta on us though we had no intention of ordering it. He derided us for eating the bread rolls when these were served in the table. Our main dishes did not come out together, but over a period of 15 minutes. Some of my party had nearly finished before I got my plate !

22/05/2025: Unacceptable Treatment at Da Carlo — A Humiliating Experience I rarely write reviews, but what happened at Da Carlo left me no choice. We arrived as a group of 11 and were seated promptly. We received the menus and asked for some water. Shortly after, we were offered bruschetta. We politely declined, wanting to look through the menu first. A second waiter came to offer it again, and we declined once more. Then what appeared to be the manager or owner approached us. For the third time, he insisted on the bruschetta. When we declined yet again, he turned to me and sarcastically said, “Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay,” and proceeded to ask me how many pieces of bread I had eaten so far — a completely inappropriate and humiliating question, especially in front of others. As we tried to place our food orders, things only got worse. We asked for pasta with vongole (clams) and another with cozze (mussels). He refused to take the order as requested, and instead shouted that he would make a mix of both, and that we could just give the parts we didn’t want to someone else at the table. The tone was aggressive, loud, and deeply disrespectful. At that point, I had enough. I have never been treated so rudely in any restaurant in my life. I felt bullied, embarrassed, and completely disrespected — especially in front of other diners who turned to look. I made the decision to leave. Dining out is supposed to be a pleasant experience — not one where you’re shouted at, belittled, or pressured into eating something you don’t want. Da Carlo not only failed in service, but in basic human decency.

19/06/2025: Cheap street food, many complain about the slow service but with us they were fast. Low quality of food, but for the price you can't expect much more

17/06/2025: A good restaurant in Pantelleria! Very welcoming location with background music, excellent value for money... the highlight are the first courses... Finger-licking good.. You eat really well.. Kind staff and very attentive service.. I recommend it to everyone..

08/07/2025: I took 2 small pizzas to take away and I regret that so few. I want to go back there and order again. I will never forget this place and the taste of pizza, which they also make a little faster than they expect. They said it would take about 10-15 minutes, and I got 5-7. I recommend it to anyone who is going to go there and eat something delicious! Pizza: Capricciosa, Bufalina
