Nestled among the vineyards, it's well-kept and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the view. Excellent food, authentic and well-prepared dishes, with quality ingredients and authentic flavors. Impeccable service: friendly, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. A place that exudes passion and a family atmosphere. Definitely a worthwhile stop, and one I'll gladly return to. Congratulations!

25/05/2026: This place shattered the cliché that "restaurants overlooking tourist areas are bad." We ordered Black Angus beef and pliny. A Russian salad was served as an appetizer. It was good. Our food was perfectly cooked and tasted great. They also offered complimentary dessert with our coffee. We left very satisfied. Thank you. 😊

25/05/2026: We have been visiting this restaurant at least 10 times a year for the past two years; a service charge or cover charge was never charged and was never listed on the menu. This was also the case in January, April, and on May 11, 2026. On May 16, 2026, the item "Servizio - 2 x €5" appeared on the bill prepared by the bartender for the first time. When I asked him what this was about, since it wasn't on the menu, he said that they had always charged it. This was completely untrue, and the bartender was certainly aware of this. On May 22, 2026, we were at Ape again. At the beginning, I specifically checked the menu again and told the bartender that this item wasn't on the menu and therefore he wasn't allowed to charge it. He said he would speak to the manager about it. In the end, we paid the manager, who handed us the bill without a word. It again listed "Servizio - 2 x €5." When I told him this, which I had already told the bartender, he explained that the other guests were paying it. I told him I didn't give a damn what other guests paid; that was no argument. Then he acted offended and said I was ill-mannered. Well, I was raised to treat people the way they treat me; however, I wasn't raised to lie to people and charge them unjustly. After this unpleasant incident, we won't be visiting this restaurant again, at least not as long as we encounter this manager there. It's a shame, because we've always been very satisfied otherwise, including with the other service staff. We also have no problem paying for servizio or coperto if it's listed on the menu.

06/03/2026: Some excellent ice cream! Worth the praises. The cone itself was quite tasty too. The raspberry was indeed great, but so were the other tastes we tried. Has a distinct style with nice textures and balanced flavours.

07/05/2026: I've been wanting to come to this restaurant for a while, and I finally made it! The choice couldn't have been better; we had a great time. Already on the phone, when I asked if it was possible to have lunch à la carte, even on a weekday (when the set menu is the main attraction), I was impressed by the restaurant's integrity and professionalism. They warned me that I might have to wait. Anyway, we showed up at 12, and I must say they were super professional, and we didn't have to wait at all. We enjoyed a generous Novarese platter (salame della duja, fidighina, sweet and spicy gorgonzola, amazing sweet and sour onions, honey, and walnuts), followed by a delicious tartare (bacon tartare). I chose a beef tagliata with zola and hazelnuts; the meat was perhaps a little tough, but it was tasty. For the side, artichokes with potatoes. The dishes are truly generous. We also had an exquisite dessert, a bonet without chocolate, truly delicious. With an excellent Dolcetto, we reached the pinnacle of satisfaction. Service was fast, professional, and courteous. The bill? Light. We'll definitely be back; we're looking forward to some mouth-watering first courses.

03/05/2026: An excellent culinary experience with a slight lapse in style at the end ​I recently dined at Le 2 Suocere and I must say that, in many ways, the experience was memorable. ​Strengths ​Ambience and Hospitality: The restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfect for those seeking a refined atmosphere just steps from the city center. The convenience of free parking nearby deserves a special mention. ​Service and Baking: The staff is meticulous and attentive. The homemade breadsticks and bread (in various flavors) are very popular, a detail that demonstrates great care for the ingredients. ​The Cuisine: The meat served is high-quality, as are the other ingredients. It's been years since a restaurant surprised me so much with its food pairings. For example, the gorgonzola sorbet served with fruit is a masterpiece: a perfect balance where the freshness of the fruit undercuts the boldness of the cheese. Truly remarkable. The Sore Point: ​Unfortunately, the evening was marred by a detail I consider a real lapse in style. Toward the end of the meal, our half-full bread basket (which costs €3) was taken away and replaced with a new, full one, without us asking. Although the gesture might have seemed like a courtesy, I found myself billed for two baskets totaling €6. Regardless of the paltry sum, I find it unfair to charge for an unsolicited "reserve," especially if it's served after the meal is almost over. In a restaurant of this caliber, customer service should also include transparency regarding these little extras. ​In summary: Excellent cuisine and refined flavors, but be careful with the details on the bill, as they risk ruining the memory of a wonderful evening.

21/06/2026: Group dinner: 4 families with children, approximately 16 people in total. A very disappointing experience. As soon as the children started playing near the table, we received impatient looks from both the staff and the owner, as if we were a nuisance even though we were still within our table's reach. The treatment was rude and unprofessional. For pizzas and drinks, we paid about €65 per family. When paying at the register, not only were we rude, but we weren't even given a receipt. For a restaurant that caters to families, the atmosphere was anything but welcoming. We won't be returning!!

02/06/2026: A truly excellent experience! La Pigna restaurant offers a welcoming and refined atmosphere in the heart of Verona. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and presented with great care. I particularly appreciated the freshness of the ingredients and the attention to traditional flavors. The staff was friendly, professional, and always available. The service was prompt and the atmosphere very pleasant. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful evening enjoying excellent food. I will definitely be back.

21/06/2026: The dishes were sophisticated, very tasty, and well-executed. We tried practically the entire menu, and everything was delicious. The homemade cheeses were very interesting, including tempeh and carrot cheesecake, which are definitely worth trying! We'll definitely be back!

13/06/2026: I've been a loyal customer for a long time. I love the food, which is both refined and simple, the intimate atmosphere, and the staff. Khaled, the owner, is very kind and welcoming. The "non-" cheeses are delicious, and you can also buy them to take away. The desserts are superb; I especially love the tiramisu and Sacher Torte. I definitely recommend it.

10/05/2026: We went for the asparagus menu, which was all good, but the portions were a bit small. I understand that asparagus is expensive, but for €40 they could have put two more ravioli on the plate (there were four). The desserts were also a bit meager, just two pieces.

24/05/2026: Traditional family-run for several generations. Homemade menu and everything exceptional. Everything, absolutely everything. It never disappoints over the years.

19/05/2026: I've tried it twice, one in the beautiful garden in the summer and one in the dining room in the winter. It's a restaurant I don't like. The food is very standard, almost like a canteen. There's no original dish worth returning for. The ragù is bland, the polenta is instant or otherwise unpleasant, and the desserts are bland. The prices aren't high, but for what they offer, they're not a bargain.
