02/05/2024: Everything you expect from a refuge experience I stayed at the Elisa on a Saturday in early April, the manager (Elena) was very kind and even though I had given her a few hours' notice she didn't let me miss anything. I recommend that you always give notice in advance of any desire to stay overnight in the refuge, to allow the manager to organize the supplies (here the supplies are transported by helicopter or carried on the shoulders). The shelter is well looked after, the dormitory clean, the food excellent as are the people I found. I'll be back [Apr 2024]

I understand the need for the place to have a turnover of customers as quickly as possible, but I would advise against starting to clear the table by removing the finished cup of coffee and the glass if a customer is still eating the croissant so as not to give the idea of ​​wanting it " hunt." With some friends, and it happened several times, we had the impression that this gesture was an "invitation" to leave the table as quickly as possible. The pizzas have completely average prices: the least expensive are the Margherita (€5.50) and the Ortolana (€4.50), with the Quattro Formaggi and Quattro seasonal both at €7.00 (this is the lowest price high). The prices of the drinks are also average, however the choice is very wide (peach or lemon tea, coca cola, sprite, fanta, etc.). You can access the tables only after stopping at the cash register, which consists of a counter with a very useful shelf for placing the trays while waiting for payment. There is little distance between one station and another.

10/07/2024: Approdati per caso in questo paesino a causa di un concorso scolastico di mia moglie, ci siamo liberati verso le 14:00 quindi l'unico locale AIC dove potevamo mangiare senza glutine essendo noi celiaci stava per chiudere. Cerco rapidamente online e trovo La Locanda di Giovanna che nonostante non sia certificata AIC serve pietanze senza glutine. Chiamo e le chiedo a che ora il locale chiude perché essendo celiaci non sappiamo dove andare a mangiare ma al contempo non vogliamo disturbare, ci viene detto di non preoccuparci, che ci avrebbero aspettato senza problemi, riguardo alle pietanze senza glutine avremmo dovuto orientarci su polenta affettati o secondo i piatti. I primi piatti vanno prenotati per tempo, ma per noi nessun problema, ci accontentiamo anche se ci sarebbe piaciuto assaggiare un bel piatto di pizzoccheri. Solo 15 minuti dopo siamo a tavola, chiediamo informazioni alla cameriera riguardo ai secondi e antipasti senza glutine, la quale per sicurezza ci manda Giovanna al tavolo per spiegarci le varie possibilità. Una volta arrivata ci informa con grande nostra felicità che ha messo a cuocere due porzioni di pizzoccheri senza glutine visto il nostro interesse, ma è necessario aspettare un po’, nessun problema… prendiamo un tagliere come antipasto. I salumi presenti sul tagliere come anche i formaggi erano davvero di ottima qualità, ma sicuramente il re del pranzo era il pizzocchero, affogato in abbondante formaggio, burro e verdure, una vera leccornia!! Avevo già mangiato dei pizzoccheri senza glutine in valle ma mai nulla del genere, per questo mi sono anche complimentato con Giovanna che è davvero una persona gentile e premurosa. Ovviamente do 5 Stelle per la qualità dei prodotti offerti, ma anche per location, servizio, ma anche per la sorpresa nell'averci fatto trovare degli ottimi pizzoccheri senza glutine! Spero ci sia un’altra occasione un giorno.

22/08/2024: This was a really bad experience. I ordered a pizza that cost €13. It was undercooked, the ingredients were ordinary and I was charged €2 service. The food was awful and the service really bad. I was ignored most of the evening. When I went to pay by card the machine wouldn’t work. The owner was really rude to me and told me that my card was faulty (it wasn’t). I paid by cash and he threw the receipt at me. Avoid this place. It’s awful and the food and service are the worst. Go to a nicer place on the main canal or on a main street. This is only for the locals who have no sense.

09/08/2024: Unfortunately, I never got to taste the ice cream! I went to their point of sale at the Coop in Vigevano 3 times, and, although the closing time is 7.30pm, at 6.45pm they remove the ice creams from the sales counter and one can no longer buy anything. Terrible service! If the shops in the center work until closing time, this shop should do the same too, the director of the Coop should intervene. Bad, very bad, actually very bad!
