13/05/2025: Review – Monday Risotto Tour I went to try the famous risotto tour that they offer on Monday evenings, intrigued by the peculiarity of the initiative. The flavours of the risottos were good overall, but unfortunately the cooking left much to be desired: the rice was a bit overcooked, probably because they start from a pre-cooked base to speed up the service. Another aspect that was not looked after was the menu: not only was it visibly ruined, but it was not updated. I had asked for a beer that was on the paper menu and well advertised on the walls of the restaurant, but I was told that it was no longer available due to a product change. Furthermore, the draft beer that was recommended to me as an alternative did not have a price indicated anywhere, which is not exactly transparent. As for dessert, I was disappointed by the tiramisu: the mascarpone cream was flavourless and the consistency was lumpy. I must say, however, that the cheesecake ordered by my friend was good and well made. Overall, if you're curious about trying the Monday risotto round, it might be worth a visit, but there's definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of the quality of the dishes and customer service.

03/12/2024: Unfortunately a terrible experience: after staying inside the Relais we decide to have dinner there and starting from the menu which is quite uninviting and ordinary apart from a few dishes, (in a context like that one expects something more typical and particular) we start with a creamed cod with crispy focaccia and then spaghetti alla chitarra with shrimp, lime and pecorino. The dish arrives with three spoonfuls of creamy cod plated without elegance and a small piece of any packaged schiacciatina from the supermarket. The spaghetti arrives: half raw, dry and creamed with very little sauce based on low quality shrimp. We leave practically everything and only after a while they worry about how it went, to sweeten us up they cheer us up afterwards by offering us some excellent biscuits from Lidl. VINAE VERITAS is that the whole thing is unacceptable for the location and the relative prices.

30/05/2025: Beware of fraud! We made a reservation at the restaurant to have a good meal. The food was excellent and the taste was top-notch! We can't complain at all. Unfortunately, the surroundings weren't great. They tried to scam us. We asked if there was parking available for visitors/guests of the restaurant. There was, and we parked our car there. On the bill for the meal, we saw that €15 had been charged for parking. However, the parking lot sign stated in Italian that the parking space was reserved for guests (see photo I uploaded). After discussing this with the waiter, who then asked the manager, I also asked the other guests around us if they had to pay for parking. They all said no, because the parking space was reserved for guests. Only we were charged the €15. After back and forth and discussion, the €15 was removed from the bill, and we paid and left. Upstairs at the exit, the manager (his name is Silvio Battistoni) came towards us and cursed and insulted us. We tried calmly to explain that it was unfair why we had to pay for parking while all the other guests didn't. He simply said that everyone had to pay and that we should just ask the others. I told him that I had actually done that, and the answer was that they didn't have to pay. He got angry and didn't know what to say and just said that because we had a "supercar," we should pay the price. If we had the money for a "supercar," then we had to pay the €15. We tried to explain that it wasn't about the money, but that they were trying to rip us off. Why didn't everyone else have to pay and only we did because we had a "supercar" (his words)? He threw us out and slammed the door. Unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience. Because the food and the atmosphere were top-notch! It was really great. But having to try to cheat someone out of €15 while all the other guests don't have to pay is a real shame.

04/05/2025: Ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di meglio, partendo dalla location ferma a trent’anni fa, servizio decisamente non perfetto e non al livello in cui si vogliono piazzare, cucina anonima, semplice, nulla che abbia quel qualcosa in più… unica nota positiva gli entreè e il dolce. A Varese ci sono altri ristoranti dove mangiare meglio.

16/04/2025: La pizza è molto buona decisamente ,anche.quella senza glutine . Prestate però attenzione al conto . Sul mio scontrino c'erano 3 pizze invece delle 2 ordinate . Inoltre la pizza capricciosa in più aveva come importo € 11,50 ( sul menù è indicata a 10 euro ) ,un caffè è stato contabilizzato a €2( sul menù è € 1,50 ) . Alla fine quindi risultava € 12 in più sullo scontrino . Accortami dell'errore appena fuori dal locale, sono rientrata e mi sono trovata la ragazza che ha fatto lo scontrino molto scocciata , ha tolto dalla cassa 10 euro e me l'ha dato con un atteggiamento molto scortese .Può capitare di sbagliare ma se succede ,non si mette in imbarazzo il cliente in quel modo perché si accorge dell'errore . Consiglio al titolare di fare fare un corso di formazione alla ragazza su come comportarsi con la clientela e di prestare attenzione ai prezzi ,senza inventarli al momento ma segnando quelli indicati nel menù . Non credo ci tornerò più ,mi spiace perché la pizza è buonissima ma alla fine quello che ti rimane di un locale è come vieni trattato ,non tanto quello che mangi .
