16/11/2025: The waitresses were friendly and the food was decent, but in the end we ordered a shot of limoncello and they charged us €5 each, which I think is excessive, especially considering how much we spent.

Tucked away in one of the city’s charming neighborhoods, this restaurant is not merely a place to dine; it is an experience, a love letter to Italian cuisine crafted with heart, artistry, and devotion. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed not as a guest, but as family. The warmth of the staff and the graciousness of the owner created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and intimately familiar. The kind of hospitality that lingers long after the final sip of wine. And then, the pasta. Ah, the pasta! If one could capture the essence of Italy in a single dish, it would be their lobster pasta, a triumph of flavor, balance, and texture. The sweetness of the lobster melds perfectly with the delicate tang of the sauce, each bite a celebration of culinary mastery. Truly, it is among the best I have tasted in all of Italy and I do not say that lightly. I find myself already dreaming of my return. In fact, I am booking a flight from America to Milan solely to once again sit at that table, to savor that pasta, and to bask in the joy that Viaggi nel Gusto so effortlessly provides. If you love food , truly love it, this is not just a restaurant you visit. It is one you remember, cherish, and return to. Buon appetito and buon viaggio nel gusto.

24/10/2025: Situated in an enchanting location, directly overlooking the lake, Il Ritrovo is one of those places that invites you to linger for a relaxed lunch, especially on sunny days. The atmosphere is refined and welcoming, although the interior decoration leaves me a little perplexed: the paintings on the walls, though vibrant, create a somewhat chaotic atmosphere that, in my opinion, detracts from the refined atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff deserves special mention: young, attractive, friendly but never pretentious. There's a pleasant spontaneity in the service, something that's rare nowadays. Gastronomically, the experience was decidedly positive. The octopus tentacle on creamed potatoes, a now very popular dish, surprises with its balance and cooking: tender, flavorful, and with a well-balanced cream. Next, the risotto with shrimp and mascarpone was a true delight, creamy without being heavy. For dessert, the tiramisu exceeded expectations. Despite the use of ladyfingers (an element that often disappoints me), the cream was excellent, velvety, and authentic. The menu offers a wide selection of both fish and meat dishes, all accompanied by a breathtaking view of the lake and convenient parking for guests. In short, Il Ritrovo is a restaurant that combines good cuisine, attentive service, and a charming landscape. Perfect for a Sunday lunch or a romantic dinner, it may require some aesthetic improvements, but it offers excellent food.

06/11/2025: My partner and I had dinner at this charming restaurant. The location is beautiful, intimate, charming, and pleasant—it feels like being in a small mountain cabin. The food was spectacular, from appetizers to desserts. Great attention was paid to the ingredients, with traditional pairings but with a hint of modernity. Special mention goes to the recycling of waste materials in the table setting, from the bottle necks used as cutlery rests to the plates served inside old bottles. The host was helpful and friendly, and he pampered us throughout the dinner. If you're passing through Bormio or the surrounding area, it's definitely worth a try!

The attention to detail, the welcoming atmosphere, and the friendly owners make every visit a special experience. I've been several times and have always been thrilled with the authentic and delicious Italian dishes. Special praise goes to Chef Giuseppina for her homemade pasta—simply divine and a must-try!

15/11/2025: I ordered a Limoncello Spritz with my pizza. I'd heard Italian pizzas are thin and small, but here, the former was true, not the latter. It was thin, but very large, and I was secretly full. Even though it was a basic Margherita pizza, the natural flavors of the ingredients were quite well-brought to life, and the fresh tomatoes were particularly delicious. Authentic pizza is truly different.

04/11/2025: We were invited by our son and daughter-in-law. We ordered à la carte dishes, and both the blueberry fettuccine and pizzoccheri were well-presented, good quality, and plentiful. We also enjoyed both the tagliata and the roast beef on the business menu. The sciatt was also excellent. The use of their genuine homemade cheeses, produced by their countless cows grazing on the mountain pastures, certainly made the difference. We had a great time, perhaps also thanks to the kindness of the mother owner and her son David. The restaurant is beautifully renovated, spacious, with exposed woodwork and bright lighting; this time I was able to appreciate it in a different light.
